Beach house holiday rentals in Eleuthera

My wife, 2 teenaged children and I had a wonderful time at Pedro and Karen’s place. With its own private beach, it was peaceful and beautiful. The home was very comfortable and perfectly equipped. It was our first time in the Bahamas, and the village of Current provided an excellent glimpse of the evolving island culture. Current Beach is spectacular. We enjoyed driving to other local sights as well and exploring.

We were blessed to go on this trip for my mom's 70th birthday and it did not disappoint! Jim & Mary were both incredibly helpful, communicative, and friendly and they have local support in the area to help you navigate your first day or so if needed. It is important to know that this location is not a tourist destination and you need to be ok driving, cooking, and enjoying their beautiful home and beach front property. The home is fully stocked with what you need to enjoy the water (paddleboards!) and to cook, sleep, and soak up the sunshine. The outdoor shower was a spa experience as you look out at the amazing lush yard. We highly recommend this unique, super-special stay in Eleuthera!

Originally the family home of the host, this lovely residence has been updated for easy, vacation-mode living. With a 5 min golf cart ride to the fantastic beach, a 10 min ride to all of the restaurants, shops and harbor, this location is ideal. Beds are comfy, showers are great water pressure and temp, and all living spaces are comfortable and welcoming. Host Sam was awesome, from local dining/shopping/activity recommendations to having a golf cart rental ready for us when we arrived, the best host we could have. Hope to return and hope to land there when we do!

If you want to visit Spanish Wells, this is a perfect spot! Recommend renting a golf cart as soon as you get off the gov water taxi. We were just a very short walk from the beautiful beach with the sandbar that you could walk a mile on at low tide. There are several great restaurants on the island, and the locals are SO friendly and helpful. We also took a day trip to Harbor Island, but spent the majority of our time relaxing on Spanish Wells. Comfy, convenient, well appointed, easy to navigate from. You won't be disappointed staying here!

We enjoyed Christmas at David’s lighthouse. Everything was as described in David’s listing. The home was beautiful and we could not have asked for more. You would be lucky if you find this listing available. For sure- off the grid relaxing vaca😊

I am so happy that we chose to stay at this home, James was very helpful and accommodating from the very beginning. James went out of his way to make our stay fantastic and even helped us hunt down a soccer ball for my son who always wants to play. The home was breathtaking, it was built and decorated with such luxury and intentionality. I have never seen a view like the one you have if you stay here, it is unbelievable. The home is not only luxurious, but it also has things that make the stay even better like nice beds, bedding, cookware, towels, etc. The fire pit was an added highlight, and we enjoyed some nights by the fire listening to the ocean. There were a few options that we were looking at and I am so happy that we chose to stay here, book this home, you will not regret it! This is the best airbnb that we have stayed, and we plan on returning.

I can’t say enough good things about the Palmetto house. The entire time felt like a dream. The golf cart made going back and forth between the Caribbean and Atlantic side so easy. We saw so much sea life while there. The house is well thought out and really felt like home. Terri was super responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay again but this time even longer.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hibiscus House. The beautiful blue of the ocean could be seen through the trees and there was a real sense of privacy. Listening to the waves crashing during the evening while sitting on the screened in porch was incredibly relaxing. The beach was a short walk from the house and was where we spent our late afternoons after exploring the island during the day. The house had a large stash of toiletries, bug spray, sunscreen, beach gear, and a few clothes items in select closets--which was wonderful considering our luggage got lost and took days to get to us. Lydia, the house's caretaker, came by to say hello and make sure we were comfortable...and we absolutely loved learning about the island and recommendations from her local perspective. I would absolutely love to stay here again if we make it back to Eleuthera.

Wonderful stay at Sugar Apple! The house is clean and spacious. Having the pool was nice at the end of the day! Close to many beaches and not far from governors harbour. Second time renting this home and won’t be our last!

Our 2nd stay at Ken’s place was nothing short of fabulous! Perfectly situated, clean, & well-equipped with everything we needed, including beach chairs, a hair dryer, a few drinking waters to get you started, & a breathtaking view. The washer and dryer were a great convenience, (leave most of your clothes at home & just bring swimsuits & sunscreen). The comfy bed ensured we were well-rested for each day's adventures. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility, with great snorkeling, swimming, & fishing spots just a short walk down the hill. One of the highlights was the amazing hospitality provided by Sherrie, who was always available to help with any questions and has become a treasured friend. Claudette was also fantastic, making sure everything was clean and comfortable. We love the little community Kens place is in. Everyone is friendly & welcoming but also quiet & peaceful. We can’t wait to return for another incredible vacation Mind @Ease. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

We loved every minute at Stephanie's place! This home is pure paradise, very remote, relaxing and the pictures just don't do it justice. Easily the best stocked place we've ever stayed. The views from the decks are absolutely spectacular, we saw dolphins and sea turtles a few days. The pool is another absolute highlight, the water was just perfect! Stephanie was very quick to respond to any questions. We enjoyed preparing great meals most nights at the home with ease while enjoying the beautiful sunsets. We had so much fun exploring the surroundings and beaches. The only thing wrong with this place is having to leave! -Jill, Luke, Josh & Missy.

The pictures don't do justice to this home (light and beautiful) and its surroundings (paradise). There should be one of the view from the deck directly down to the ocean! :) Architecture is stunning. Full on views of the beach and tropical vegetation from every side. Two different work spaces with desks and views out the back. Kitchen is a little small if you're having a big group, but for two it was terrific. Everything worked. Fans in all the rooms! Great shower with fabulous water pressure. Loved the simplicity of the decor and having the beach to ourselves. BE SURE TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS (and maybe print them at home). VERY useful information. Contact Latoya for practical questions. She was able to get us a rental car when other companies said they had no vehicles left. Do get a 4WD. The high chassis is important for rutted roads if you go anywhere off the beaten track. We didn't plan to, but it happens! :)

We had a lovely stay at Sonshore Cottage! The house was clean, had a beautiful esthetic, extra beach towels were in the closet for our use, a soft cooler and plenty of ice packs were available for our beach outings, and more! Sarah was also a very responsive host providing us with a lot of local recommendations and help if we had any questions. We will definitely stay at Sonshore Cottage again when we return to Eleuthera!

Blue Moon was an absolutely amazing right on the Beach at Gaulding Cay Beach. There are no other rentals directly on the beach here. The water was amazing crystal clear just a few steps through the coconut tree. (Not many bugs) We used the SUP and double kayak one afternoon. And everyday we snorkeled the rock everyday. Hanging out listening to the water and coconut trees in a hammock was extremely relaxing. The house has loads of books and a great collection of art. Daddy Joes was just a short walk down the road. Gregory town is just a 4 minute ride in the car. We are looking forward to our next stay. I am dreaming about that beach and hammock!!

We really loved the house - quite new, very big and clean, exactly as described. Communication with the host was very easy, we received super quick responses. Absolutely great value for money! The location is in the middle of the island, so be prepared to drive for the beaches.

Lovely, super clean and very well equipped home. It is very conveniently located: if you have never visited the island before (like us), you can reach all destinations within a range of maximum 2hrs. I'm sure that in the hottest periods of the year the terrace will be of great help. Jonathan/Kareem is a superb host, always responsive and ready to support. Very recommended especially if you are looking for a value for money high quality accommodation for up to 4 guests.

We miss it already! What a gorgeous home, that’s clean and homely with a lovely open living space. It’s less than a 5 minute drive from the most beautiful (and child friendly) beach, Rainbow Bay. In terms of convenience stores, you’re not walking distance to anything but easy to jump in the car and in 10 minutes you have a few options on Queens Highway. Lauren the host couldn’t have been more helpful and any questions we had she was really quick to respond. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed April 5-19 2025. The house is new, spacious and great window light coming in. Comfortable bedding etc. the house is on kind of a rocky beach but it is one of the few we have found on Eleuthera with shells! The back porch facing the ocean was one of our favorites spots to hang out when not in the sun. There are 2 hammocks in the yard which were so relaxing. Ken, brother in law of owner lives close by and checked in with us and as the house is new and just started being rented out he said to let him know if we think of anything it might need. We travel to Eleuthera about once a year. And there were a couple itemsI I thought the place could use and presto! Ken had them to us by evening! That was fantastic so now there is a cooler to use, some additional kitchen items and an iron 🙂 David also checked in when we arrived and after we checked out. We really like Neek’s. Eats for food and drinks and it is only about 5 min. Away. There are some games there and we left a couple book
