Cottage holiday rentals in Eastern Shore of Virginia

The cottage was so cute, the back porch was so cozy and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and everything was clean. The walk to the beach was so pleasant and super close, the hot tub was private and clean. We had a romantic weekend for two but this would be perfect for a young family, for some very relaxing beach time. The host was so gracious and responsive and the location so convenient from DC.

The house is wonderful! We enjoyed being in the fenced backyard with our dogs, hanging out on the dock watching the boats go by, or just sitting in the house admiring the view through the huge picture windows. It was very clean and had all that we needed for a relaxing get away weekend. Natalie was very responsive and very helpful with great local suggestions. Emily's Produce is only a few minutes away and has everything we needed, including fully cooked meals. We can't wait to come back!

Had a mini friend vacation with 6 people total and we all immediately felt right at home. The layout of the home is extremely convenient-there’s a half bath next to the washer/dryer right near the door to the deck- it was perfect for fast bathroom breaks without getting the entire house wet! We spent most of our time in the pool area and game room, and both spaces had everything we needed! (Nadia, I hope you don’t mind we left a few pool new loungers behind!) We took advantage of pretty much everything aside from swimming in the lake (bugs were really bad, no one’s fault at all but be warned- you NEED to have bug spray.) The only critique I could give was the softness of the beds, they were all really firm and if you have any sort of sleeping and or back/pain problems, it could be evident the next morning. But overall it was an amazing time and the host was extremely courteous and genuinely caring! A lot of love goes into this spot and you can tell. We can’t wait to go back.

Surrounded by trees and the sound of waves- perfect place to relax & unwind. Quick but steep hike to the secret beach. Cool spot and more shell than I expected. Kyli was a responsive host, answered all my questions. Also, recommended Island Hideaway for dinner and it was amazing. Homemade pasta and desserts made in house daily. Great views and delicious foods & drinks.

My family and I rented the house for a long weekend in early summer. We loved the privacy and the nature around the property literally had deer grazing around the house all of the time. The neighborhood is very good for walking. Close drive to Ocean City, Maryland plenty of restaurants and entertainment. We would definitely return.

We had an amazing time. The house was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the pool and short walk to the beach. We could hear the ocean from the master suite. The upstairs deck had view of the water. Everything about our stay was perfect. The area was nice and was quiet and peaceful. We will definitely go back and stay longer next year. Thank you!!!

We had a great time at Diana’s place. The water access was awesome and we had lots of fun with the kayaks. We were able to walk through a wooded trail to a nearby restaurant which was so nice. The location felt private and naturally beautiful while being not far from grocery stores and restaurants. Diana’s neighborhood is beautiful and the space is charming and comfortable. Such a fun way to see the Chesapeake, we would love to come back!

Great house. Perfect location easy access to the beach! Lovely front yard! Plenty of room and had absolutely everything we needed. Even a sweet goody bag with local items and a dog toy for our dog❤️ Hosts communicate very quickly!! Highly recommend!

- It is hard to put into words how special of a place Lisa and Larry’s cottage is. Every detail is incredibly thought through—from the welcome gifts within the pristine home to the wonderfully cared for gardens, animals, and property. Our interactions with them both were wonderfully fun and pleasant. As someone who works in interiors and travels a lot, I have truly never come across such a beautiful gem. The location is a pleasant and convent drive to local hiking, gardens, beaches, and state parks. It is a place that will stay in my heart and mind for a long time and I cannot wait to return.

Perfect stay for our weekend getaway. The cottage was so cute and so clean. Susan was so friendly and even had a welcome sign with my name on it! So many recommendations and such great hospitality. Great location! We walked everywhere! Highly recommend!!

The cottage was in a nice quiet neighborhood, could walk the dog, it also has a fenced in yard. The home was exceptionally clean, it has all amenities needed, even a few extras, gas grill, beach chairs etc.. The bed was comfortable. Also enjoyed the water and snack basket that was left with a welcome note. Definitely recommend! Really felt like home! Short drive to restaurants and shops and a 2 minute drive to a cute little beach with lifeguards, restrooms and a free parking lot!

This is my second time staying at this cottage. The location is beautiful, the private beach is great for kids, and all the welcome gifts and fresh flowers are a friendly touch. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, and the two bedrooms made for a comfortable stay for my family of four. We enjoyed the Fisherman’s Museum in Reedsville and the local coffee, Fawn’s. Northern Neck is a lovely area and everyone we ran into the whole weekend was incredibly friendly.

We had a great stay, it was exactly the relaxing family vacation we were looking for! Hyrum and Lisa were excellent hosts and made sure we had all the information we needed and everything was going well throughout the stay. Thank you Hyrum and Lisa!

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

Great little house. Had everything we needed and loved walking the town and sitting on the front porch. We're ready to visit again!

We stayed at Maggie's Place for 4 nights with our 5 and 7 year old sons and had a wonderful time. The abundance of games / toys was great - our kids loved playing with them when we needed some downtime from the beach. The kitchen was VERY well equipped and it was so nice to have condiments and spices so we didn't have to buy a ton of items just to cook a meal. The beds were comfy and we all slept great. It was nice to have two TVs - one in the family room and another in the main bedroom - so we could watch NetFlix and HBO from our bedroom (they had other streaming services, too). The house is walkable from a fantastic playground (Brianna's Kindness Park) as well as some amazing coffee shops. We loved AmaRin - go early for the pastries and the Vietnamese egg coffee is a must-try. Maggie's Place was our perfect landing place for our trip to Chincoteague!

Beautiful place to stay. Quite peaceful area with friendly neighbors. Home was cozy and welcoming. Kitchen had everything you could need. Amenities were amazing. Had a spectacular time would definitely come back to stay again.

The cottage was so peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful. We spent most of our time out on the porch watching the wildlife, sipping coffee and playing games. This was a relaxing getaway for us and friends. Everything was as pictured, clean, comfortable, and roomy for the 4 of us. Hopefully we can come back!

It was a pleasure finding this peaceful home. It is nestled in a rural area of Maryland. If you need to get away from life for a reset, this is the perfect place. The host was extremely responsive and flexible. The home is nicely accommodating and the local area has a nice park and dock to enjoy the water. I would highly recommend staying. James P

Lovely and quaint home! Cozy and had everything needed for a relaxing getaway! Has everything needed to grill out and cook at home which was helpful for us accommodating a food allergy while traveling. It was very peaceful and quiet at night. The space outside the house is very cute with the Adirondack chairs. We sat outside with some canvases that we brought to paint and enjoyed the sunset! The clothesline in the backyard was also helpful! Having bikes and helmets was also a fun addition and allowed us to explore and get some exercise!

Mystic Is a quaint, clean and welcoming houae. All details from pictures to knick knacks create a complete theme. Instructions were easy and thoughtful. Communications were prompt and thorough. This home and its owners create a perfect sanctuary.
