Peaceful haven of calm and tranquility, with the most friendly and helpful hosts, and what a view! We loved our few days at The Lookout.

Lovely, well-decorated apartment - easy stay for two people. Only a five-minute walk down to the seafront and close to the Pier, and only a ten-minute walk to the Laines. Fair warning that staying in the summer means you'll want to bring a fan or sleep with the window open. The front window opens onto the street, so it's not great to leave open at night, but it's lovely during the day. Some people smoke in the alley behind the apartment, so it's also occasionally not great with the open bedroom window.

Deborah was incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions I had about the area. Her apartment is beautiful with lovely sea views and was really welcoming and comforting. We had a wee accident with the sofa and Deborah was super understanding and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this flat more! The area is super lovely, lots of independent bars and restaurants and only a 25 min walk from Hastings

Close to the beach and pier

Had a great stay, everything as described, flat has lots of character, very handy location for the beach and local attractions.

I had the most wonderful stay in Carla’s beautiful annexe. The location is incredible. Being able to sit at the end of the garden in the mornings watching the sea was so wonderful. It was just so peaceful and tranquil and was exactly what I needed! Plus you can be on the beach in 2 mins. The Annexe itself was absolutely perfect, spotlessly clean and no details had been overlooked. Really comfy sofa and bed and beautifully furnished. Carla was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. All in all this was a perfect stay for a short break away from the business of life. I would definitely return when I am looking for some time to myself. Thank you so much Carla for your hospitality 🙏🏻🥰

Beverly‘s flat is incredibly charming and tucked away in a quiet street of the old town, with direct access to the Hastings Country Park. The view onto the old town is really one of a kind and it feels like you are looking out onto a postcard! I had a wonderful time in the flat, the living room is beautifully decorated, the kitched is new and has everything you need, and the old town is only a 5 minute walk away. Bevery has also been so kind to provide lots of recommendations for the area, which I found very useful.

Dan’s flat got a great range of tech gadgets which are super easy to adapt to and the place is really nice, we helped ourselves to some beer and prosecco. Dan’s been super responsive and considerate. Will definitely come back for more staycations thanks Dan!!!

Excellent apartment in great location, gated community, and facing the marina. Easy distance to central Brighton either via the beach, electric railway, car or uber.... Good local restaurants if not eating in town. Apartment was well equipped, clean and functional. Secure parking. A vey enjoyable long weekend stay by the coast.

A well located flat opposite the sea. It’s only 5 steps to the front door of this big comfortable flat. One big room with lounges, table for 6, a well equipped kitchen and a grand piano! The bed was comfortable and bathroom big with heated towel rails. A step into bath with grab rails. We loved staying here. Philip was a great host and left us a basket of goodies. Thank you.

Anna’s flat is perfect for a seaside break. Amazing view overlooking the sea, easy access to the beach and promenade into Hastings. Flat looks just like it does in pictures, is very clean, quiet and had everything we needed for the weekend. Lots of nearby cafes and restaurants within minutes and free on street parking available. Anna was very responsive.

This was my fourth time to stay at Dan’s apartment & I keep on returning because it feels home from home for me & my partner! This time we were lucky enough to have supper at Busby & Wilds, which is only open from Thursday through to Sunday. We would definitely recommend eating there, but it’s a pity that it is only open at the weekends. Here’s to more stays at Flat 2, No 10, Sussex Square in the future!

Great few days visiting family in the area.

Great location! Clean and tidy apartment. Plenty of local shops within a short walk and the free parking was very handy. We loved our stay and managed to do exactly what we planned which was a long hike from Seaford to Eastbourne.

We had a lovely stay at this lovely 2-bedroom apartment overlooking the sea. The photos were accurate and the view was just as stunning in person. As a family of four, we really appreciated the space—the apartment was very clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for everyone to relax. The hosts were responsive and helpful, always quick to reply to any messages. Although the weather wasn’t great during our visit, it didn’t take away from the overall experience—if anything, it’s a good excuse to come back and enjoy it again in better weather!

Absolutely beautiful property to relax and unwind. The apartment had everything we needed to make dinner and fully enjoy our stay. Having the beach right on our doorstep was a massive bonus! The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and functional. Overall this was a very comfortable and happy stay! Thank you Warren

We are quite particular about where we stay when travelling around, and I’ve got to say, this property is a superb example as to how “AirBnB” should be done! It’s to an exceptional standard , with much thought and attention to detail into the essentials and nice to haves a guest may require. The fit out is superb, the location is as equally superb. Immaculate throughout, something we look for when booking a property to stay at. All in all, a superb stay, great value for money and we will most definitely be back again. We had a wonderful stay at Nicola’s flat. The space was beautifully presented and spacious - even more so in real life than the photos show - and was very clean. Nicola was also accommodating with our arrival time and offered great local recommendations. We hope to stay again!

A wonderful apartment and Lauren is fantastic at communicating. The apartment felt larger than we expected probably because of the lovely high ceilings. The place was super clean and it was great to find milk bread and other basics already there. The lounge area overlooks the sea, which was lovely, though there is a road in front. It was great to be able to just pop across to the beach and we had a fabulous meal at The Farmyard at Lauren’s recommendation. This and others are just a short walk away. St Leonards and Hastings both have a bit of a gritty edge to them, but that also means lots of interesting independent and unusual shops, which we love, and are sadly missing from so many high streets now. Highly recommended.

Very positive right from the start. We received clear instructions prior to setting off and were able to translate them into satnav inputs to take us right to the door without error. Clare was very friendly on arrival and explained clearly all the pertinent points to make our stay straightforward and problem free. She kindly supplied a few essentials to help us settle in. Clare was the perfect host and we would recommend ‘The Loft’ to anyone looking for somewhere to base a visit to East Sussex with good access to many attractions. Thankyou Clare ⭐️
