Excellent Location right next to the walls. Classic feel to the house and a well equipped kitchen and lounge. The table tennis in the basement is a great addition! Be aware that to get into one of the double bedrooms you have to walk through the singles bedroom. Overall a great place for our weekend away:)

A great place to stay in a very quiet street but just 5 minutes walk into the centre of York. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very small fridge but it did us for a weekend away.

We had such a wonderful time at this cozy Airbnb just outside Monk Bar in York! It felt like our little home away from home, perfectly tucked right by the city walls. We loved being able to wander into York’s magical streets—the Minster and Shambles were just a short walk away, which made exploring so easy.

What a fantastic place. Dave was a fabulous host,everything explained ,suggestions for places to eat offered, nothing too much trouble.The house is immaculate, very comfortable ,everything provided ,a real home from home.We would definitely recommend it to anyone and Dave we may be back beware lol

We loved our stay in this beautiful spacious home. So peaceful at night. Minutes from the bus into town which my daughter loved, and having a garden whilst being so close to town was wonderful. It has everything you need including comfy beds. We had a takeaway from the local Indian a five minute walk away which was delicious. Highly recommend.

Beth was a great host. She communicated very well from the reservation booking, through a few changes in our number of guests, to checking on us during our stay. The home was perfectly located to get to places in Town Centre to visit and to the train station. The house had all we needed. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen for a few family meals together. The dishwasher and the washer/dryer worked well. The beds were warm and comfortable. The bathrooms were designed great for our 7 guests to alternate through. Each bedroom had its own full length mirror and hair dryer, which was very helpful. The neighborhood was very respectful. The nights were completely quiet, allowing us a comfortable night’s sleep and rest to be able to be up and ready for our next day’s activities.

Stayed the weekend with my parents and three children (teenagers and 9 years old) We loved the location! The townhouse was lovely, the beds were comfortable and we had a great stay. But the standout was Bishy Ave and the quick walk into the city. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay at Whistler House for my sister and her husband’s 70th birthdays. The accommodation was spotless, beautifully furnished and had a great location being on the river and a few minutes walk from the City. The cottage was well equipped and the host went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. Highly recommended. Thank you Anna for a lovely stay. We will be back!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay and loved the proximity of restaurants, pubs, and sightseeing. Less than 5 min walk to Rowntree park playground was so helpful for our family traveling with young kids!

Charming old fashioned cottage, right in the heart of York. Very quiet and private. Easy walks to all attractions. The house was clean and all amenities well maintained, loved the bedroom so cosy and pretty. The bed very comfortable. Highly recommended s stay here. We would certainly stay here again 🌟

the house is in a lovely location on the canal. it's far enough out of the way to be quiet but also close to the city for a nice walk in. speaking to Jayne was easy and she was very understanding and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here ! all ages of people would be pleased with the house, location and hosts.

We had an amazing weekend stay at Laura’s place. The location is absolutely perfect for getting into York city centre, with the river being a 2 minute walk from the front door. Despite this the surroundings were really peaceful! The house was spotless and met our needs very well. It was beautifully presented and Laura left a very generous food welcome package that went down very well! Our only comment is the bedrooms were really hot so a fan would’ve been handy- however this is definitely because we were there on the hottest day of the year so to be expected! Would definitely recommend Laura’s place to anyone looking for a weekend away in York.

We had the most incredible time here, the property was immaculate and the decor was amazing. It was so homely and the refreshments left for us was such a lovely touch, couldn’t stayed there forever! There was so much to do around we didn’t get through it all so cannot wait to come back and stay again.

We stayed at Kate’s property to see family. It was booked last minute then added an extra day early last minute. Kate is a fantastic host who makes sure you know all the details, very quick responses and a lovely lady. We realised the pool table was missing two balls, I messaged Kate and she ordered new ones and dropped them off to us the next day :)

Lovely house in a fantastic central York location. Great to have off road parking. Beds were comfy.

My fiancé and I had a lovely stay! The property was spotless, the terrace was lovely to sit and have a drink on. Great location for visiting my sister who is a student at York University. Overall, I was very pleased!

A very pretty cottage in a great location for all amenities. The house was very clean and uncluttered. We loved the choice of decor. The bedlinen was particularly nice. Was nice touch that washing up liquid, tea towels etc were provided. Bathroom towels provided too. Less for us to pack. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. We would highly recommend Annie's cottage 😊

Tanya is a great host and the property is a gem of a place to stay. Perfect for travelling either to the North Yorkshire coast (we visited Filey for the day), but also close enough to York if you want to go but don’t fancy staying somewhere too central. Internally, the house is pristine, and loads of lovely artwork and personal touches to make you feel instantly at home. Would recommend and would book again for sure. Thanks Tanya!
