Tom is a gentleman. Thoughtful, kind, and he clearly has great taste for how to furnish a home in order to make it practical and comfortable for guests. Tom reached out to us ahead of our stay with a friendly welcome and clear instructions for how to find his place. He met us there at the agreed check-in time and showed us around, which was a nice, thoughtful touch that we both appreciated. He lives locally, and told us not to hesitate to give him a shout if we needed anything. We didn't need to though; everything we needed was right there, including a well equipped kitchen, and also a spacious bath and shower room with lashings of hot water. The location is perfect. Right on the water's edge. Stunning views from most rooms. I found it very relaxing, leaning against the garden wall with a cuppa, watching the Bodinnick chain ferry (which stops at bedtime and starts again when its time to get up). Its a five-minute walk into Fowey. Delightful. Highly recommended!

This location is very convenient for exploring the Chilterns. it is just A 5 minute walk from the railway station, and a 10 minute walk to the main shopping street. There are several good restaurants in town, and several small supermarkets all in the same area, and walkable. The house has a nice private garden out the back, and two of the three bedrooms overlook it. The house was very comfortable and clean, and the hosts were extremely responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay, worked really well for two couples plus one toddler. Paul provided a travel cot and highchair which was really helpful!

Loved our time in Hay, and Andy’s place was perfect for our family of five.

Another lovely stay in Jane’s beautiful home. Comfortable, peaceful, welcoming - feels like home and all the wee extras like the vase of flowers from the garden make it even more special.

Matthew’s cottage is absolutely beautiful, it is full of character and exactly as we were expecting from the pictures. It was fantastic place to stay in, right in the centre of Beaulieu, with easy access for exploring the New Forest. Matthew was very communicative in the lead up to and during the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matthew’s home to anyone else visiting the area.

arrived for 3 night stay ,first impressions very nice home ,plenty of room,beds very comfy ,clean and tidy ,very happy ,would stay again ,stairs would be an issue if elderly or disabled ,but for price and home from home Fantastic, great view if you're lucky to grab a back bedroom ,thank you Caroline and Jon

We stayed at the Old Red Lion for a few days while attending a family wedding at the nearby Larmer Tree Gardens. The house was absolute perfect for us (a group of 8 adults) - very well located, spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed and more! We particularly loved the charming interiors. Hilary was a great host, we really appreciated the proactive communications and helpful instructions. Thanks so much for having us!

A wonderful house set right in the centre of Woodstock. The property is presented to a high standard with all the little touches that you'd expect. It really is home from home. Laura was excellent at responding to any questions I had and made some great recommendations. Thank you for a fabulous few days!

We loved staying at Sheila’s place - the many extras were perfect: a bottle of prosecco to celebrate our Winchester holiday, the tea/coffee/milk/biscuits/crisps provided, tips on local sites/restaurants, etc.. Super comfortable beds, great bathrooms, nicely appointed living and dining room and a kitchen that has everything one would want! Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful stay at The Haywood, it’s beautifully furnished and looks like an interior designer has been in! Lots of brilliant amenities like the fire and stunning huge bath with so many little thoughtful touches too like a yoga mat, umbrella and tote bag. The bed was really comfy, the bathroom was gorgeous and so stylish, the shower was piping hot and I loved the blue plaster walls! There are a few steps but they’re not too steep or narrow, it’s perfect for 2 people and our stay felt like a luxurious treat. Everything worked perfectly, the space is used super efficiently and the wine and crisps were a lovely welcome. The local information was very helpful to find the coffee shops just a few minutes walk away as it’s so close to the centre of town, which is so lovely. Anya was really helpful too, nothing was too much trouble, we’d definitely there stay again. Thank you!

Wow 🤩 An absolutely amazing house ! Spacious yet felt homey - extremely well appointed with a kitchen that would delight a professional chef ! The interior design was incredible. A great bar set up with every type of glass you could want . All the bedrooms were stunning and the lounge /dining room made entertaining as a group great fun. Louisa kindly let us check in early which meant we could enjoy the house and Witney for longer 🙂 Apparently there are 22 pubs in Witney alone ! Highly recommend The Fleece for a special occasion. Would love to book again as it was just perfect 😍 5 stars 🌟 I would do more but that’s the limit 😂

We loved staying here... great place that felt like home

We booked to celebrate a girls weekend as a group of 5. The apartment was clean and exactly how the pictures described. Instructions about parking were clear and one of our party was lucky to get a free spot further along the road. Ideal base for eating out and getting Ubers or taxis into the city centre would 100% recommend and would definitely consider booking again 😃

Perfect stay at Rose’s home! All of the rooms were spacious, modern & homely. Amazing bathroom, the floating bath is a lovely touch. Has everything in the house that you would need. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to visit Derwent River & Buttermere. Lots of shops & restaurants/pubs nearby. Rose was responsive from start to finish & right through our stay, always giving lots of advice and how to make the most out of our visit! We will definitely return and would 100% recommend Rose’s home to anyone visiting the Lake District. Thank you again Rose, we loved every minute to celebrate my birthday.

A great property, we stayed as a family of 4 with 2 teens and the house felt really spacious. Beds were all very comfy and the showers were lovely, didnt want to get out after a long day walking. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. We managed to park outside once, the rest of the time we parked on the church car park which is literally 2 seconds round the corner. In all i would highly recommend this property, and we would happily stay again if we are visiting this area.

Excellent spot for a trip to Stamford. Central location, easy parking, quiet and very well finished. Lesley was very helpful with local recommendations for restaurants and just an all around thoroughly enjoyable and easy to recommend experience.

We had an amazing stay. Manton was beautiful and so much to do locally. The house was lovely and had everything and more that we needed for a wonderful stay. Marie was a star - very communicative and helpful. Would highly recommend.
