My friend and I stayed here for a quick two-night getaway and had a great experience. The space is quiet, cozy, and super well taken care of. The view of the water from the living area is beautiful, and we spent both mornings sitting outside with coffee, and afternoons enjoying the view from the hot tub. We appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed for nights in—and that Mary had a whole list of spots to check out for adventures out (local shops, antique spots, and really solid lobster rolls!) If you’re looking for a low-key, clean, calm place to relax, recharge, and still have easy access to town, this is a great pick. We’d absolutely come back.

Martin's cottage in Litchfield was a little piece of heaven!! My sister and I stayed for 4 days. The first 2 days we had to work remotely and were delighted to 'set up shop' in the adorable dining room with a large sliding glass door looking out on the beautiful back yard - internet connection was flawless and we were able to totally focus in the blissful quiet of the rural location. After attending the funeral of our dear aunt in Southington, we had some time to explore Litchfield's adorable shops and fine restaurants. We both slept so soundly each night in the wonderful beds and left 're-charged' and 'de-stressed' after our stay!! I feel that I've found a treasure and a true getaway, even if just for a long weekend. Super-easy to get to Bradley airport and the route is so scenic! The Fall would be an IDEAL time to come to this cottage. Finally, Martin was, indeed, a super-host, as rated in Airbnb!! Extremely responsive and kind, each time I reached out to him!

We always love going to this cottage. It’s our favorite. It’s actually one of our favorite places. To go a few times a year winter summer. We just spent memorial weekend there. A little doggies loved it. Home away from home so cozy. Bobby the host is wonderful. My daughter boyfriend came up and they absolutely loved it and my son came from Texas to spend one night. It was his first time there he loved it. We already planning on going back. Fantastic getaway. If you need to distress and want calmness. This is the place to come to. And the town of Mystic has great restaurants Like I said it’s our favorite place to come to and I’ve been to quite a few…. Just got home today and I’m seeing if I can book some sometime in October to go back we love it.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect place for two of us and our dog. The home was just as described, welcoming, cosy and well equipped, and we appreciated all the local recommendations. We enjoyed local walks, the lake, and the great dog park, as well as easy access to Middletown to visit our son. Elisabeth and Daniel were fantastic hosts!

My sister, dog and I stayed at the cottage for the weekend and had a great experience! Erika is a wonderful host and the property is beautiful. The cottage itself was exactly as pictured. Breakfast in the inn, cooked with natural and organic ingredients, is an absolute must. The location of the inn is great as well, with direct access to the Lantern Hill trail (which our dog loved) and only a short drive from downtown. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. I had reached out to Lisa numerous different times and she was very understanding and quickly responsive. The home itself was clean, walking distance from the beach, and I loved it was nice and cool inside from the AC.

Jeanne's place was perfect for my trip to Guilford. Excellent location, close to the Green and to the water, quiet, peaceful. The house had everything I needed and more, Jeanne was super responsive and kind, and the bed was comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Milton & Megan's Montauk house! It was perfect for a group of 4 (2 couples) there for a 4 day trip. The house is very quiet & peaceful, with lots of outdoor space, but also very walkable to town. The house was super clean, and everything was very easy to find. The bedrooms had lots of closet space, the TV was easy to set up, and all the amenities listed on the website were accurate. We'd love to come back again and stay. Thanks!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at Ron’s Cottage, it was beautiful and incredibly peaceful, very easy to get around steps from the beach. Listening to the waves crash on the beach from the kitchen was my favorite part. 10/10 wound stay again!

Peter's place was easy to find, easy to access, clean, and centrally located. Situated in a lovely quiet neighborhood, it was a quick walk to the heart of Mystic (about 15 mins to the downtown on foot) and the Mystic Seaport Museum (about 10 mins on foot). The home matched the listing. Perfect for a couple or small group getaway, with a lovely little porch to sit on with coffee in the morning - we even had a mama deer and baby pass through the yard!

What a beautiful view! We had a great time despite the weather. The house was very comfortable and the location right on the lake is hard to beat.

We had 2 rainy days to start. So we huddled up in the comfy living room with the massive TV( daughter in law said biggest she has ever seen🥰) and watched current amazing movies!! Made amazing food and snacks in the culinary approved kitchen! (Sauté Chef). We spent $200 on food and ate like kings. The main bedroom also has a TV so we could watch different things! I spent many years with my family at Old Colony Beach. Amazing how many places are still there from my childhood. It was a memorable experience for myself, my son and his girl! Peter's beach house was the perfect extended weekend getaway with our family. It was the first time we took a family vacation with our small children and teenager. The little kids loved the top bunk in their room and my teenager loved having a room to herself. The kitchen was perfect for our needs, the kids loved the sunroom and the living room was great with the tv for nighttime relaxing. The walk to the beach was the perfect length and the beach was clean and open. We loved every moment at the beach house and are hoping to return next year.

Lovely cottage very clean and newly renovated decorated nicely... bed was very comfortable only thing missing was a small microwave and a toaster other than that it was perfect for our 3 day getaway.

This rental fit our needs for our stay. Plenty of room for my husband and I. The carriage house apartment was comfortable and cozy. The location and grounds provide a peaceful retreat but a short drive to shops, restaurants and the highway. Lori is a great host who made herself available for any questions or concerns. She provided breakfast treats and fresh juice...a very nice surprise. We definitely would recommend staying here and plan on coming back for another stay.
