Kid-friendly holiday rentals in East Lothian

The house was perfect and homely. Restaurants and shops on the doorstep and the stunning beach just a few minutes walk away. I hope to visit again, it was a great find for my stay.

This property set the bar very high, it being the first time I had booked with Air BNB. On a quiet road with easy parking outside, it is within easy walking distance of the beach, town and all amenities. It was beautifully clean throughout and extremely well equipped. It was a real home. A lot of thought had been put into all those little touches which make life easier and nicer, from childrens needs, cooking basics to Sky sports, Jo had catered for all. I had queries about the entry code system, Jo replied within 5 mins. All in all, a perfect place for us. We will probably return with family. Thank you Jo

We loved the decor - so many lovely touches and were really comfortable. The 26 bus meant we were really well connected to Edinburgh and the pretty coast.

We give the Water Tower 10 stars! Susan is remarkable! She has clearly thought lovingly of every detail of one’s stay, with great care and attention. What a rich experience! She and Gerry are warm, welcoming, generous and engaging, and yet also sensitive and respectful of individual needs for privacy. We felt so fortunate to be able to stay at their place and to get to know them a little bit! The fridge was stocked with milk, spreads, fresh fruit and a welcome bottle of wine, the cupboards with biscuits and homemade bread and muffins. Plenty of teas and coffees. A pleasing array of soaps and lotions and toiletries. Gerry’s beautiful paintings line the walls of the Tower, as well as the plans for the renovation, as he is the architect who brought this magical spot to life. Susan, a fine biologist, shared her gardening expertise , and we were happy to tour with her. Truly, we could not have felt more welcomed, nor more cared for. They went above and beyond. We are happy and grateful!

The second time we've stayed here. Very convenient for us visiting family and friends. Once again, thouroughly enjoyed it.

It was a beautiful getaway! A paradise close to the city. Amazing house, felt like a home away from home! The attention to detail in the house was different from anywhere else we've been in the past. It was stacked with all sorts of equipment and anything you would ever need. Beautiful garden with gorgeous lights. The fireplace was where we spent most of our time. It was a wonderful place of tranquility right in the environs of Edinburgh. Easy to get into Edinburgh, or a nice location for visiting a wider area, and easy to access public transport too. We were very impressed with the little touches which Claire provided, making our stay very comfortable, and the local information was very helpful.

A fantastic flat/apartment it had everything we needed, We were 4 guys on a golf trip staying for 4 nights . The flat is in a great location and within 5 minute walk of the restaurants and couple of pubs. Will definitely be going again. Thanks Lorraine 1st Class.

lovely stay, perfect for a group of 8. Shared rooms nice size, didn't feel onto of each other. Good pubs and bars near... golf course only a couple of minutes walk.

It’s a beautiful apartment with an amazing sea view. In the evening, we fell asleep to the sound of the waves, and in the morning we woke up to a stunning view of the sea horizon. The place is very well equipped – we didn’t miss anything. The entire apartment is spacious and beautifully and stylishly furnished. The only downside for us was the mattress in the bedroom, as it was too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on. The location is excellent – the beach is right across the street and the shop is just a 5-minute walk away. North Berwick is a wonderful place to relax, and staying in this apartment added perfectly to the charming seaside atmosphere of the town.

The property was lovely and Elaine was a great host. It was a great base for us while attending a wedding, easy to walk to the shops/restaurants/pubs and also the sea front. It had everything we needed and we felt right at home. Elaine was always responsive and really helpful. I would definitely stay again if I come back to Dunbar.

We had a minor issue on our first day; the response was first class - speedy, understanding and exceeded expectations. Communication throughout was proactive and always helpful. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

This upstairs apartment in a charming Scottish village gave us a peaceful, cozy home base while exploring the Dunbar area. We appreciated the high-speed internet, up-to-date appliances and super-comfy sofa. Robert is a very responsive, helpful host who answered all our questions promptly.

We had a lovely stay at this sweet little apartment. It was right on the prom, and within a couple of minutes' walk of a Co-op. The bus stop serving Edinburgh was also just up the road; we enjoyed a trip to Inveresk Lodge Gardens (a little gem) on the bus. The apartment was really well-equipped, and felt like a real home-from-home, including buckets and spades in the cupboard which our daughter loved. The beach was covered in beautiful shells- gorgeous! Inside, the apartment felt spacious with lots of storage, a nice hot shower, a big comfy sofa, and really cosy, comfy beds. We would love to return here and really enjoyed our stay- thank you!

We have just returned from this lovely little AirBnB, after spending the weekend. We went to watch Robbie Williams at Murrayfield Stadium. You could get the bus nearby which was cheap and took about half hour into central Edinburgh. Train stations a short taxi ride away but pre book beforehand as we struggled to get one. Jo was very responsive to messages and also gave us lots of useful information. Pleasant stay for what we needed :) thank you

Living space larger than expected and very comfortable. 3 good bedrooms. The double bed is a small double. Location is great - close to everything in Gullane.

We spent three lovely days at 41 Wilson Avenue, EH32 9PD, just outside Edinburgh in peaceful Prestonpans. The home was cozy and well-equipped, with a kitchen, bathroom, and two comfy bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom had charming decor, while the kids’ room easily fit four with a bunk bed and a queen bed. Supermarkets were nearby, and the kitchen came stocked with essentials like cutlery, cereal, and oats—perfect for a relaxed stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely flat in beautiful North Berwick. Just look at the pictures - this is really what you get - and some nice fudges on top!

Very comfortable apartment on quite residential street. Close access to train station and good bus connections. Good selection of supermarkets within 15min walk. Highly recommended , especially if want to be on the coast or touring
