Holiday rentals with an EV charger in East Africa

We’ve been upgraded to Sarah’s Maison since the primary accommodation was still under renovation. Everything was great and as described by Sarah. The whole house was like a dream and definitely exceeded our expectations. There were few spots like the bathroom mirrors, the kitchen sink, and the appliances drawer in the kitchen which were not cleaned and they were stained but it was not something that bothered us that much. All in all, it was a fabulous experience!

We had a great time at Lucien’s place. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as described. Lucie checked in with us daily, and her communication was excellent—quick, clear, and helpful throughout our stay. The only issue we encountered was with the hot water in the main bedroom's shower, which caused the electricity to trip during use. This was frustrating, especially with our tight schedule, as sharing the other bathroom wasn’t a practical option. However, once I informed Lucie, she responded promptly and sent someone to fix the problem. Due to early commitments elsewhere, we had to check out ahead of schedule and move to a hotel closer to our meetings. Lucie was incredibly gracious about the change and even provided a refund for the unused nights. I would absolutely recommend her place and would happily stay again.

This is a very nice Airbnb with thoughtful interior design and well-curated amenities. The host clearly took time to ensure everything a guest might need was provided, which I appreciated. One of my favorite features was the fresh breeze that comes in through the balcony, making the space feel open and relaxing. The location is also central to everything—I visited Masaki often, and it was just a quick 15-minute ride by motorbike taxi. The highlight for me was the bathroom—it was modern, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed during my stay. That said, there were a few challenges. As someone who works remotely full-time, the frequent power outages made it difficult to work consistently. Unfortunately, the electricity would cut off almost every evening—right during my working hours due to the 7-hour time difference with the U.S. Overall, I enjoyed the space and hospitality, but I would recommend it more for vacation stays rather than remote work setups.

Beautiful apartment in a stunning neighbourhood. The real standout, though, is the amenities—an excellent gym and a large pool made the stay extra enjoyable. Rory was incredibly communicative and lovely throughout. I’d definitely stay here again.

Nicely set up apartment and great amenities, including well equipped gym. Very convenient to get around Nairobi from here, and was nice and peaceful. Check in was slightly complicated due to not having the security fob or key code until we called, but was resolved swiftly once we spoke to the host.

Great experience and would definitely go back. Kelvin is very accommodating and personable. Highly recommend his place.

I booked Genet House Holiday Home for my family, and they had an amazing stay! They loved the spacious and well-designed house, and the wildlife roaming nearby made it even more special!!! Andy was fantastic hosts, making them feel welcome. The check-in was seamless, and the location was perfect—peaceful yet close to Kruger. They had an unforgettable experience and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le studio de Caroline. Elle a été adorable tout au long du séjour, et nous a accueillis chaleureusement dans sa maison. Caroline a été hyper réactive à chaque fois qu’on lui a écrit, et le logement correspond parfaitement à la description faite. Si vous souhaitez passer un séjour au calme à Bras-Panon, c’est le lieu idéal, nous recommandons.

Excellent séjour chez Myriam et Patrice. Le logement est très sympa dans un petit coin de paradis. Un grand merci à Patrice et Myriam pour leur gentillesse et leurs très bons conseils de visite. 😘😘

Detta var ett fantastiskt boende, rent och snyggt. Mycket bra med att vi hade tvättmaskin och torktumlare och även diskmaskin. Den lilla el-golfbilen var super att ta sig runt med på ön. Aliki var snabb med att svara på de frågor vi hade och Sarah som var vår kontakt och fanns tillgänglig på Eden Island när vi behövde hjälp med bokning av utflykter med mera var mycket behjälplig. Vi är mycket nöjda med vår resa och boendet. Stort tack till Aliki och Chris.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans le logement de Jean et Laurence. La maison est spacieuse, propre, et invite au repos et à la détente. Nous avons apprécié en particulier les installations extérieures, telles que la piscine nichée dans un petit jardin tropical, le salon / salle à manger sur terrasse couverte, et le barbecue / plancha. La maison est aussi confortable et très bien équipée ! A noter aussi les équipements de plage (serviettes, masques & tubas, jeux etc) mis à disposition qui nous ont été très utiles. La maison est bien située pour découvrir le Sud et l'Ouest de l'ile, en particulier pour accéder au volcan, au cirque de Cilaos, et à la plage de grande Anse. Les autres plages (Hermitage, La Saline) ne sont pas très loin non plus (30 à 40mn de voiture par la route principale) Laurence a été très accueillante et sympathique, et flexible sur les horaires d'arrivée et de départ. Une excellente destination qu'on ne peut que recommander !

Judy made the difference. She is an amazing and proactive host. I found her place convenient in terms of getting around because of proximity to Thika Road, the malls and restaurants. Loved the local feel. A really great deal for the price.

Maina was a fantastic host - professional, responsive, and respectful. The space was exactly as described: clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged for comfort and convenience. Check-in was smooth, and communication throughout the stay was excellent. I appreciated the attention to detail and the calm, welcoming environment. I'd definitely stay again and recommend Maina's place to anyone looking for a reliable and relaxing stay

Meget meget fin bolig i rolige og smukke omgivelser. Vi nød virkelig vores ophold her og kommer helt sikkert igen, hvis vi skal til Mauritius.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Appartement. Sandra und Steve sind tolle Gastgeber. Würden das Appartement jederzeit wieder buchen.

Presque 1 mois passé dans cet appartement spacieux et confortable. De beaux volumes avec tout les équipements nécessaires. Un vrai plaisir pour reprendre des forces après une journée bien remplie en profitant du patio et du jaccuzi. Situé en plein centre de Saint Pierre (avec une place de parking souterrain très appréciable) il offre toutes les possibilités : partir en excursion, aller se baigner, faire du shopping, apprécier la cuisine réunionnaise dans de nombreux restaurants, etc Il faut ajouter à cela la gentillesse et la prévenance de Thomas toujours disponible. Bref je suis très contente de mon séjour et vous recommande fortement cet endroit.
