Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Dubuque

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location to Oak hills farm. We traveled with kids and the amenities available was very helpful to our stay. Great house to stay overall.

The Car Wash Inn was such a fun place to stay. The decor is really unique and we enjoyed sitting out front for coffee watching cars go by on the highway. The place was spotless and comfortable.

Very old, nice museum-like house! Our crowd had plenty of room. It seemed there was always another room behind the next bend! Washer, dryer, AC, fridge, hot water, gas grill, dishwasher worked great. Kitchen was well supplied. Were short on washcloths so brought some from home. We enjoyed being close to things that we could walk….walked 5 miles the first day! We took the elevator down to the shopping district…ice cream and coffee shops! It was very nice to work with the owner. He was very helpful. We would consider this place again if we had need of this much room again. If you’re looking for a brand new, up-to-date place, this is not for you. It’s very comfortable and homey but a very old home with all of the things that brings, shared bathroom, single pane windows with storms, steep back stairs, light switches in funny places 😊 It was great 😊

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

Your place was so Retro!! We loved it !! Needs a fire pit and more outside backyard chairs. We really enjoyed the town and loved the view of the Mississippi River. The park across the street was amazing!!! We had the other guests from the other unit walk into our unit 2 times while we were there.

We had a wonderful stay! Doreen was always in communication making sure we had everything we needed. Our family of 5 was looking to getaway for a few days and this was a great place for it! The home was clean and cozy with lots of thoughtful touches throughout to make us feel welcome. We got to enjoy the amenities at the club house, and were just close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants and shops. My kids want to come back already!

Well-stocked kitchen. We were hoping for a toaster, and there was one. Due to AC units in the windows, outside noises (birds/trains) come in a bit more than you'd expect; I'm probably noise sensitive due to having an infant. Would not recommend for someone looking for a fragrance-free home; had a (pleasant) air-freshener type smell. Overall very clean - did find some dust and threads behind beds. Spacious and great for our purposes - good for a family.

Mary was very generous and offered us to come a day earlier so we can enjoy our stay longer. Her place is right on the river which made it easy to go fishing. The hiking around the area is absolutely beautiful in town and also about an hour north we did a day trip. The only part that wasn't as great was the trains were a little more active than we thought but that was only a minor inconvenience.

Absolutely spotless and lovely! Loved the small touches and couldn’t as for a better location. Never even had to move our car! Even though it was rainy and pre-busy season, we had a great time and are looking forward to our visit later this summer!

A great place to stay right in the middle of beautiful historic Dubuque. In walking distance of many shops and eateries. The apartment is wonderfully remodeled and very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Hope to stay again someday!

Place was absolutely perfect and exactly as described. Location was great for anything and everything that we wanted to do. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Galena.

This was a nice, clean place. Loved the history of the building. Centrally located to many things. Super comfortable beds. Also appreciated the night lights upstairs to make it easier to see during the night. Would stay again.

Beautiful place with very professional and helpful host. Excellent communication and ease of check-in. The apartment is lovely and has loads of character. The windows and woodwork and tiny kitchen were very cool. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom and shower functioned well. We stayed only one night, just passing through, but enjoyed the apartment, Vikki’s coffee recommendation, and the quiet neighborhood. Would recommend for short or longer stays!

We had a great stay at Robin’s place! Right in the middle of town. Cute and cozy inside.

We enjoyed our stay. We were in town for baseball and it was great to be walking distance to so many restaurants and bars, as well as the hotel where teammates were staying.

Our family had a fantastic job at Dan's place. The location is great - close enough to the Eagle Ridge Inn and Owners Club, but very private location with a beautiful view of the lake. The unit had everything we need and was much larger than the pictures made it seem. Galena had great shopping and restaurants. Galena Territory Owners Club indoor pool was perfect for the kids. I'd recommend staying here anytime we make it back to Galena Territory!

Great place to stay very close to downtown Galena.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. It's a 10 min drive from downtown Galena in a quiet wooded area with paved trails that you can take to the nearby amenities. The place was clean, quiet, and the bathtub was amazing! The gym and indoor/outdoor pool are very nice but about 1.5 miles from the condo which wasn't stated anywhere (or at least not anywhere we saw) and was a little disappointing but overall wasn't a huge deal. The restaurant is a short walk through the trails or you can drive to it. It's right next door. Also, the initial message you get after booking with the rules and asking to email them out of the app was a little daunting and not normal for Airbnb bookings. It just had a less "homey" experience that you expect from Airbnb. It made me slightly nervous but after everything I would certainly stay here again.

This place was absolutely B.E.A.U.T.F.U.L! The staff were super sweet and friendly. So many things to do at Galena. Also, there was a table with “to do activities” That was very helpful. I would 100% come back. Thank you all staff for being such a good host.

We had a wonderful five day stay at the driftless getaway! Everything was to our expectations and beyond. Nice little touches throughout the entire areas. (Love the twinkle lights) There were Activities for both kids and adults like games and coloring books provided in the space. As well as a coffee bar, retro mini fridge and treat baskets in each room. Our location was a quick 4 minute drive or 15 walk into the main street of Galena. The town is charming and there is plenty to see, eat, do. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! Thank you both for such a lovely home away from home!

A beautiful place in a great location. Just minutes from all the golf courses. The home was extremely well kept and updated. The sunroom was awesome.
