Enjoyed our stay at the house. Our dog did very well too. It was a cozy little place to sleep and relax after a few days out discovering Galena. We enjoyed Lola’s ( close by restaurant for breakfast and Lunch…please try their orange cranberry chicken salad)❤️ Vickie was available and kind. We would stay again. Thank you☺️

This was our second time at Jennifer's place and it was just as perfect as it was the first time. We brought our daughters with us this time, and they slept on the pull out couch and loved it. It was the perfect space for our family. The amenities are a plus. We went to the indoor pool at the Owners Club which was nice and enjoyable and we played the board games one of the nights, which were provided. I highly recommend this place. It's quiet, peaceful, there are walking paths, and it's about 10 to 15 minutes from Main Street. We will definitely be back!

Meg is a great host and we enjoyed staying there. She is really great at responding and very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

This is a cute little house in a nice neighborhood not too far from downtown. The decor was great and seemed like a lot of it was original to the house (or at least original to the house in the 70s) which made it a little funky (the stove needed lighting with a lighter, for instance) but just added to the charm. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed! If anyone else is worried by the earlier commenter who mentioned it needed a coffee maker: they have one! It's just in the cupboard. We had a great stay!

Very nice and comfortable place with many amenities! Great location near restaurants and grocery stores. We were there for a Loras College graduation and it was a short distance to the college.

We loved our stay in Bellevue. The home was very clean, cozy and fully stocked with everything we needed. The location was great within walking distance of the Mississippi, lock and dam #12, downtown shops, and restaurants. Railroad tracks run right in front of the house and trains did come through, but no loud whistles/horns. If you're a light sleeper, you might hear the low rumble at night when the train comes through, but Kathy does provide a white noise machine and fans that help. The home was perfect for our stay and was close to hiking and biking trails, which is what we love to do.

Our stay at the Bird Cottage was great! We can see why it’s earned so many glowing reviews. The house was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway—both spacious and cozy, and very accommodating. The views of the Driftless Region’s rolling hills were beautiful in every direction, and the bird activity around the property added an extra layer of charm. We’d definitely love to return.

We had such a great time! The house was very accommodating, and we were so excited to be able to bring our dog with us! Everything was very comfortable, and we appreciated that extra amenities were provided like coffee and granola bars. We enjoyed all the amenities around in the area with the pool and hiking areas, and also the proximity to downtown Galena.

A great place to stay! Charming condo on the end of a row of condos, making it feel a bit more private. Communicative and accommodating host!

We had originally booked 2 nights, but had such a great time and felt so at home staying at Michael's place that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. It felt so peaceful and relaxing and even the kids were begging to stay another day. Luckily it was available. Everything was very clean and we loved the style and decor of the house. The view from the balcony was beautiful and perfect for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee. The house had everything we needed for our stay with kids and dogs. The kids loved that we had access to the pool at the owners club and the dogs loved taking walks down the path by the lake. Also, Michael was very responsive throughout our stay. We had an issue with one of the TV's and within 10-15 minutes the maintenance guy was there and able to get it up and running. This place is definitely at the top of our list the next time we visit Galena!

Oh boy a must stay we walked in and absolutely Beautiful!!! All our needs were met!!! Jacuzzi was so nice with fun lights!! Just so pretty!!! Would stay again loved it!!♥️

Jared’s place had everything we needed to feel at home. Although we didn’t cook, the kitchen was well stocked with the necessities and the appliances were very clean. The bathroom amenities included shampoo, conditioner, and lotion (nice extra) and were also very clean. The beds were comfortable and the living space was furnished well to accommodate us. The townhome is an end unit which added to the peacefulness of the experience in the territory.

Cynthia was incredibly responsive and helped make our weekend stay truly memorable! We loved the open layout and warm, welcoming ambiance from the moment we walked in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would love to return for my next Galena visit!

Very clean and cute home. Beds were comfortable nice soft bed sheets. They did a great job making it homey. I think it took longer than expected when it came to communication but I would stay there again.

Keisha was an absolutely excellent host. Everything that you need is provided and the location honestly couldn't be better, between 1-4 blocks of a walk there are multiple restaurants, a convenience store, a dollar store, a walgreens and a 24 hour laundromat. I definitely recommend this airbnb and I will stay with Keisha again.

A delightful retreat. A frames have a special charm and this one definitely stands above the rest. Excellent views & easy to operate gas stove made for cozy couch and reading time. This felt like a well loved home instead of a stale guest residence run by a rental agency, which always makes the experience more personalized. Kent was very communicative and provided plenty of detail about the space and its quirks. Would return again.

AMAZING location and just what we hoped for. We booked this location for a quiet getaway for my birthday and our anniversary. We hoped for amazing fall weather and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Jim was responsive from the day we booked this place and was there to greet us and show us his amazing land. We loved the privacy of the tent and enjoyed walking the trails in the property. It was so peaceful at night by the fire and can't thank Jim for allowing the opportunity to getaway and spend the weekend at this location. There are great small towns with restaurants around. We had dinner at Breitbach's just a short drive from our location and then drove into Dubuque for brunch. We loved everything about this place and why go to a boring hotel when you can camp out in nature and enjoy God's creation. Highly recommend it!!!

We had a wonderful relaxing time. We live in the city and this was exactly the relaxing healing we needed. Quiet and secluded. The porch is a wonderful place to chill. Had nice camp fires outside in the evenings. We saw an abundance of beautiful unique colored songbirds. We learned that the Mississippi river valley and surrounding area is a major thoroughfare for bird migration. I’m not a bird watcher but it was still very nice to see and hear. We hiked around the hiking trail loop and it was totally worth it…..Beautiful. We also took the ferry over to Iowa and went to a winery over there. Fun experience! Also, the Potosi brewery and winery across the street were great stops; highly recommended. The Hub in the town center along with all the little shops are great places to visit. Very friendly. We bought a few things in those places. It’s also nice just sitting down on the Mississippi too. On the last day we went to Dubuque and Galena. Can’t go wrong with either of those places too.

We stayed there for 4 days for a family retreat. We absolutely loved how peaceful and secluded the house is and enjoyed everything about this beautiful house - especially the grill on the balcony. Galena and Dubuque are both a 15-20 min drive away so it’s at a prime location for excursions around the area. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming - they accommodated our stay with our cat without a question. Our cat loved the backyard so much that he didn’t want to leave. Will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the tri-state area.

My husband loves to fish so he was thrilled to discover how easy it was to grab his gear and head out each morning for a peaceful few hours of fishing just steps from the property. The home itself was clean, well-stocked, and thoughtfully decorated with a charming, rustic vibe that fit the setting perfectly. Waking up to the sound of birds and the sight of the sunrise glistening over the water was pure magic. The host was warm, welcoming, and provided clear instructions and had everything labeled, that helped us make the most of our stay. Whether you’re looking to fish, relax by the water, or simply unplug in a serene setting, this place is a true slice of heaven. We’ll definitely be back!
