Visit some truly spectacular places, there are plenty of walks right on the doorstep including a path to the Grand Etang, this lake is one of the largest and most beautiful bodies of water in the department. Easy access to Nontron, famous for knife manufacture and the cities of Angouleme, Perigueux and Limoges are all equidistant with the latter being the closest airport at around an hours drive.

This recently restored boathouse will give you a real switch off from the modern world feel, no tv or wifi to complicate things, just birdsong and views across the lake. Sleep up in the bedroom or on the extremely comfortable sofabed if climbing the stairs is not for you. Relax on the terrace, take a siesta in the hammock. Within 1hr of the Dordogne, numerous chateaux at 20 mins as well as some lovely local villages. Come and unwind.

La Ferme du lac is situated down in a beautiful wooded valley and is totally secluded. There is peace and tranquility on the doorstep. We currently have an empty lake and but surrounded by a forest full of wildlife and birds galore. The area is renowned for Chateau, beautiful lakes and is a haven for children and adults alike. There are numerous walking and cycle paths. We are 50 minutes from Limoges (URL HIDDEN) The area is stunning and life here is all about relaxing.......

We rent a family cottage in the hamlet of Le Perrier (a lissac sur couze 19) in an exceptional environment in the heart of nature. It is at the crossroads of the Correze, Lot and Dordogne departments. Nearby: Lac de Causse ideal for swimming and water sports offered in the square (paddleboard , pedal boat,canoe.....) Collonges la rouge (18 km), Brive -la -gaillarde (12 km),Montignac Caves de Lascaux (33 km) ,Sarlat (43 km) and Rocamadour (53 km).
