Holiday rentals with lake access in Dixie County

Our group of five greatly enjoyed our two day visit. Danny allowed us to check in early and launch our boat helping us to maximize our time. The boat ramp and dock were a huge plus that allowed us to skip the busy public ramp in town on the holiday weekend. It took us approximately 35 mins to reach the channel in the gulf. Danny was very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed ahead of time (I.e., gate codes, door combos, internet login, etc.). We appreciated having a bathroom and AC unit with independent temperature control in each bedroom. We wish there was a shower in the master but it is exactly as pictured with a jacuzzi tub. We had no problem using the shower in one of the other two rooms. The home is very open, roomy, clean, well stocked and has an awesome river view! When we return to Steinhatchee in the future we’ll definitely try to stay at Danny’s again.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property! The home was clean, spacious, and exactly as described—truly a peaceful retreat. One of the highlights was having access to the kayaks provided by the hosts. Paddling on the river in the early morning was absolutely magical—the water was calm, the scenery was serene, and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. After a day of exploring, the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind. It was clean, well-maintained, and a delightful bonus we really appreciated. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made the entire experience smooth from check-in to check-out. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature!

The home’s decorations are cohesive and consistent. Windows everywhere including a giant sliding glass door from the 1950s. Kitchen is fully functional. Had a great time just sitting on the dock in the chairs they had all lined up. River looks beautiful especially in the morning. Sat outside multiple nights at the fire pit having an amazing time. Two things somewhat in the area - we did Kayaking at Manatee Springs State Park. Beautiful there! Also did a sunset river cruise on Crystal River. We would’ve done one on the Suwannee but we didn’t plan ahead and everything was booked.

The Otter House is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean and organized. The view of the Suwanee River is breathtaking and can be seen beautifully from the house. We loved the fact that there is a wonderful restaurant called Treasure Camp close by, and even in within walking distance. The whole area is pristine and the most peaceful area that I have ever experienced. There is so much to do and it is close to several springs and to Cedar Key, and all of the people in the area are pleasant and kind. It is simply wonderful out there and I hope to be able to go often! Oh, and the beds are the most comfortable this side of heaven!!!

We have stayed at many places in Levy County and this was our favorite, its is a beautiful home in our favorite area of fowlers bluff, 5 minutes from our recreational land. Its right on the river and everything in the home is well thought out. We will be going back to Beau's place every chance we get.

Spent the Labor Day weekend here with my husband, our dog and few of my family members. It was a perfect fit for us. We drove from different cities and there was plenty of space to park on the property. (Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, - some flew from NY/ NJ!) great gathering/ entertaining areas that allowed us to spend the much needed quality time we looked forward too! Our reason for location was to visit springs. The host Brianna turned our loose itinerary into the most amazing weekend! We tubed down the Itchetucknee River and spent time at the spring itself. Thanks to Bri we also visited Shired Island and went fishing. The sunset was breathtaking and the stars at night were mesmerizing. Safe to safe our family - even the kids - fell in love with The Real Florida.

We wanted to get away from the congestion of the city and suburbs, Charles place was just what we needed. We stocked up on groceries at a Publix on our way up. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed and more! Very peaceful and quiet.

We had a great stay. Super clean and exactly as advertised. Great spot for visiting FL parks and springs.
