Holiday rentals with a kayak in Dixie County

Loved our stay. Perfect location, host was great, home had everything you need, very clean and comfortable. Overall just a great place and the views from the back deck and dock are beautiful. You will not want to miss the sunrise and sunset view from the dock.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay while working to restore power to Steinhatchee and Keaton Beach after Hurrican Helene. This would be a great place to come back on vacation and enjoy the town!

The River House was a great getaway, very peaceful and right on the river. We took out the kayaks and had a great day on the river. The house was exacy as described. A great get away from the city.

Very well done refurbishing on the inside. So nice! We especially loved the huge Florida room with the wet bar/kitchen area! Comfortable seating, huge tv and just so peaceful. The neighbor was also friendly. We had a great time on a short trip on the inlet of the river using the canoe and kayak that were supplied. We also utilized the fire pit. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to go back again!

Great place to stay. Plenty od space to spread out our group and great spaces to gather and enjoy each others company. Safe and secure from check-in to check-out. Very clean and quiet. Didnt hear the other guests or neighbors after we went to bed. There are PLENTY of creature comforts to make tge stay enjoyable. Dual thermostats, one upstairs for the living space and one downstairs for the bedrooms. As the community continues to recover from a bad hurricane, this will only get better and better as a place to enjoy a week or more. THANKS SO MUCH to the great host for providing such a wonderful vacation spot.

The house was amazing, we really enjoyed ourselves. The location on the water was perfect, we caught lots of fish and seen lots of other widelife. The house had everything we could possibly need (besides a can opener 😁), we had 8 in our group and we all slept comfortably. Our boys took the kayaks out, the were a great addition to have for us to use. The lights all the way down the boardwalk and on the dock was very nice and dock was perfect. The Treasure Camp was right down the road and also a quick trip down the river in the boat. Manatee Springs was about 20 mins and it was beautiful and a great day trip for us, the boys fished while we floated in the swim area. Only $6 Cedar Key was also a great day trip also. Just don't go on Tuesdays, most of the restaurants was closed. Also the neighbor had dogs, that do come out and bark. She did come get them, but we have one terrified of dogs and one on bloodthinners. We would have rented the place regardless, but had been more prepared.

We enjoyed the home! It was the perfect place to enjoy some springs and relax for a few days. The water wasn’t working when we checked in but they quickly got someone on it and a part was changed and water restored within a couple hours.

The place was peaceful, lots of birds..lots of space..huge back yard, plenty of furniture! Comfortable for our fam of 8! Half a kike from Fanning Springs! Kitchen is fully equipped and had extra supplies. Kids a a great time outdoors. Had the option to check out later! ty!!

This was definitely my family’s favorite vacation we’ve been on so far. Aside from the amazing fishing we did, the Peach house and the neighborhood that it is in kept my entire family busy. The pool was great and my boys stayed in there as much as possible, all the games at the pool were fun, my baby girl loved the goats and chickens at the petting zoo, and I enjoyed the convenience of the boat slip and the boat ramp right next door to the property. This place is also located perfectly in my opinion with it being far enough from busy area that traffic and noise isn’t an issue but your still a 5 min golf cart ride to the restraunts and stores. We cannot wait to return to the peach house and hopefully stay a little longer.

A perfect place for rest, quiet, sunshine, slower pace of life. My wife and I bicycle, the roads in the area are great for cycling- negligible traffic, respectful drivers. This cottage is close to the road for getting into town, it was perfect for cycling. There really is no ocean beach in Steinhatchee, the closest one is 17 miles up. There is kayaking on the river. Steinhatchee was hit hard by the last hurricane, not many stores/restaurants had fully recovered, but all were trying heroically. It's a fishing village and its main tourist season is in summer for scalloping. We were there in April so it was very quiet. The nearest bigger grocery store is 20-30 min away, so plan accordingly. There are smaller stores in town for quick items. The cottage is clean, it's cozy, and very comfortable. Jessica was excellent with questions, very quick to respond, and had good advice. We enjoyed our stay in the Big Bend area of Florida very much. Thank you for sharing your cottage, Jessica.

We all enjoyed our stay at John's private retreat! A fully stocked spice cabinet great for cooking meals, spacious sleeping arrangements, and an all-around excellent homestead! We all enjoyed telling stories around the campfire, walking down to the river, and all the bits and bobs that John particularly placed throughout! Can't wait to see this beautiful location again sometime in the near future!

This place is absolutely adorable! It had everything you would need! The jacuzzi tub was fantastic with the fire place to relax. I have stayed in a lot of rentals and this is definitely one of the best! We would've stayed longer if there was availability. Ironically, I booked a place in White Springs for a few days later and it, too, is Abby and Steve's. We are so looking forward to another great stay. Can't wait! Great hosts and a terrific place. Highly recommend this place!

Phenomenally beautiful location. Clean river that provided a full day of fun. Some of the deepest sleep I’ve had this year. No loud partying and plenty of friendly local folks.
