Beachfront holiday rentals in De Fryske Marren

We had a wonderful stay at the Schakel villa. It had everything we needed and although we were unfortunately pretty cold most of the time, it just felt good to be in this wonderful vacation home and to be able to look directly at the water from the living room. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped and small beach walks made the stay perfect. We would have liked to try the sauna and the boats, but unfortunately we were too sick for that. Everything was in top condition and very well described. The communication went smoothly and the house is very lovingly decorated. Thanks so much!

The accommodation was really nice, cozy and spacious. We liked our own garden and the location (right behind the dike) the best - simply beautiful!

The stay is worth the price. However, it is worth having your own basic equipment of kitchen ingredients with you, if you want to cook as wonderfully with the wonderful view from the kitchen to the sea;-). (You will have to buy everything - salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, spices, etc.) But the jumbo in the village is a great shop (7 min. in the car) and the essentials would also be available in the campsite shop. 4 minutes by car/10-15 min. by foot) However, the towels for the bathroom are offered and included. You don't need to bring anything. Look forward to unforgettable days at sea!

The place was nicely located and well appointed. The sauna ran every day, it was worth it. Shopping was also nearby. We may come back.

Unfortunately, we were only there for 2 full days.... The stay was very nice, the nature and the tranquility you have there is top 👍 accommodation was well and cleanly furnished and Gerda welcomed us very friendly. We would love to come back in the future!

We had a really nice weekend in the house and felt totally comfortable from the beginning. It was super clean and cozy, just like in the pictures. The area is very quiet and well maintained, perfect for relaxing. From the terrace, you can walk directly on the water, which we totally enjoyed. The beach is also just a few minutes' walk away and really nice. The kitchen was well equipped, everything you need was there.

We had a great weekend in Idskenhuizen. Willem Jan is an open-minded, friendly host. The location of the accommodation is great: we were able to relax wonderfully while watching the boats and enjoying the sunset in the garden, which offers some seating areas. The nearest shopping facilities are in the next town, easily accessible by bike. The house cannot be locked as a whole, the sliding door of the children's room can always be opened. It didn't bother us, but it's probably important to know. It will probably be very warm in the accommodation in the summer, as it was already oppressive at times when the sun was shining and there was only a slight draft with all the doors and windows open. We visited Sneek and Sleat, two sweet, old villages and definitely worth a visit! We would definitely come back and can definitely recommend the accommodation despite the two shortcomings!

Everything is great, maybe you should deduct the entrance to the swimming pool from the day of departure because you then no longer go to the swimming pool anyway

Simple house in the middle of the campsite. You pay for the accommodation and then again for the campsite. We have booked for 4 people incl. Toddler €45 for 3 nights. The accommodation has everything you need (toilet, shower, kitchen equipped, dining table, sofa, terrace, toys for inside and outside.) At the campsite, you can use everything (swimming pool, many playgrounds, outdoor pool). Now in the off-season, there wasn't much going on anywhere. There is a lot to offer within 10-40 km. Paul is great. Always available and a dear friend. All the best to you, Paul! Recommendation for all those who are looking for simple accommodation and bedding.

We loved our stay at Thomas's place. The caravan is spacious and equipped with every comfort. The terrace was also very complete in terms of furniture with both sun and shade. However, we were bothered by mosquitoes so we definitely recommend bringing a mosquito spray.

The chalet is great and very new. All cooking utensils were also available in the kitchen. We felt very comfortable and also the campsite was perfect for us (with a 5-year-old child). The communication with Dirk was super nice and straightforward. We would love to come back!

Had a great vacation! The house leaves nothing to be desired. The view of the sea is fantastic. Everything in the house is clean and tidy . In the immediate vicinity, you will find a lot of things to do and there are also shopping opportunities. We will be happy to come back !

We arrived as a family (2 adults, 2 children) and had a wonderful holiday. The accommodation was well maintained, with the bike provided we could get breakfast every morning and the view of the water and the sun rising there in the morning was simply indescribable. We would always choose this place again.

We had a wonderful stay. Our son loved the water park and having a beach so close. It felt really safe and the staff were very friendly. Our accommodation was perfect for our needs and very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

we felt very comfortable. A photo of the kitchen would have been nice in the advertisement. There are great restaurants and also a plus supermarket nearby that is also open on Sundays. There were 4 of us with baby on site. For us, the space was sufficient. With 6 people (adults) I would rather not recommend it as there is only one bathroom. You should also not be too big. My partner didn't have enough duvet 😄 The house is otherwise super equipped. We also initially laughed because of the mosquitoes that are supposed to be there. And it's true. Just google it. They don't sting!!! But there are really many. It's like everywhere in the region.

The view from the living room is really great! You can look at the sea. Hosts are always reachable. The house is modern and yet comfortably furnished. Coffee, tea, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets and laundry pods available. We were there as a young family with baby. The area is great for a short stay, but there is not too much to do.

We were very positively surprised by the accommodation and felt very comfortable. The garden was very nice and perfect for our little dog and the kids. Froukje is a very nice hostess who welcomed us warmly and gave us some tips for the area. Check-in was also uncomplicated and there were even snacks ready. The apartment was very clean and there was everything you need. The distance to the dog beach is super close and the right beach is adjacent. The city is a little further on foot, but also easily accessible and really nice . We would recommend this place and would book it again.

We were received in a very friendly manner and felt right at home. The apartment is well equipped and above all we loved the large terrace. The view is simply a dream!!! We would come back anytime. Thank you for everything.

It was really gorgeous there. Everything very nice there. By the way, very comfortable beds. That was pure relaxation. The garden is just an oasis. And for the dog, the proximity to the beach was just brilliant. We highly recommend it. Unfortunately, we just had a lot of bad luck with the weather this week.

We stayed for a few days and loved it. We will be happy to return there. The town of Lemmer is beautiful and there were plenty of things to see.

We had a very nice stay in Makkum. The house is in a great location and is right on the beach. It is very nice and well maintained. You can also quickly reach the beach promenade. We highly recommend a stay.
