Tuscan Nature Views From Casa Gave

The house consists of two apartments within a wing of the Gave manor house in Sorana, a little village in the heart of Svizzera Pesciatina in Tuscany. Far from the crowd of cities, it's the right place where to escape and find relax. Admire the original wood beam ceilings and wooden fixtures while sitting around the indoor fireplace or spend a sunny afternoon out in the garden under the pergola or in the swimming pool surrounded by the olive trees terraces (airbnb.com/h/casagavenaturarelax). The apartment, with separate entrance, is composed as follows: - kitchen-living room with wood burning fireplace complete with all appliances, microwave, kettle and TV; - double bedroom with wardrobe and sofa bed. Removable baby bed available on request; - bathroom with toilet, shower and bidet. The property was completely renovated in 2017 respecting the original features, such as ceilings with chestnut beams, local stone walls, chestnut window frames and wrought iron gates. The furniture are made of wood recovered from the original beams. Outside there are a pergola covered by a wisteria where you can relax or eat and a bbq available for lunches and dinners. A ping-pong table and table football are also available. As we live next to the apartment we are available for any need of the guest. The home is in a natural setting with multiple areas for scenic hikes to enjoy. Take a trip to the amazing Lucca or to the Montecarlo vineries, or to the seaside in Versilia, have a spa day at Montecatini Terme, visit the Pinocchio Park in Collodi, and enjoy authentic cuisine at the local restaurants. WIFI connection available. Crockery, linen and towels provided. Pets welcome. Reserved parking. Breakfast on request.

From the moment we were greeted by Isabella, Massimo and their son, to the moment we said goodbye we felt right at home. The house is well located. It was nice to leave the hustle of the old city and retreat to the expansive peaceful terrace of the house for an “aperitivo” before dinner. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well after long days of touring. One of our favorite things was collecting water from the town spring, which was just a few doors away.

My husband and I have enjoyed all our 10 days in Motrone. We found ourselves amazingly well in the stone house with the simple but solid and durable decor. Everything worked perfectly and we found out in the heath how we could close the sun with the shutters, when the mosquitoes would come in, so the doors had to be closed, etc. – for us, it was a big part of being in Motrone, living with nature - in the middle of nature. We've benefited from the host couple's way of hosting. Jenny came with extra kitchen equipment so we could bake bread and fry chicken in the oven that is heated with wood and fire - and Geoff spiced our stay with lots of local historical and cultural input. We definitely recommend the hosts, the cabin and vacationing in a mountain village in Tuscany and we are happy to come back to just enjoy and be.

What a wonderful place. We stayed here at the tail end of our trip and it was perfect. Quiet and sparse in the best of ways. Breakfast was amazing. They walked us to a lovely place for dinner. Quiet neighborhood, beautiful views. We felt like we were the inky tourists, which was amazing after hitting all the tourists spots. We were sad to leave so soon!

Very impressive! The space, the quality, the finish! We felt very comfortable and good about staying…perhaps it was the quality above all. The location could not have been better with the walls and the city, (not forgetting the restaurants within), being on our doorstep. This is my third visit to the Lucca area, but my first time to stay inside the city walls. Fabrizio’s apartment is perfect with respect to location, style, and quality. The terrace is such a haven. The apartment is spacious and welcoming with tasteful and beautiful decor. The terrace was all set with the furniture and cushions, with a pretty setting of the interior courtyard and flowers and garden. The bed was very comfortable, and assorted soft and hard pillows was welcome-linen was fresh and beautiful quality. Kitchen is well equipped, I was able to make myself a simple pasta meal. All the little touches such as body wash, shampoo and conditioner were lovely and welcomed as well. Air con also came in very good use. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a comfortable stay. Host was responsive and helpful at all times.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carolyn's apartment. It was spacious and clean and the scenery and local area is amazing. However, the wifi didn't work for the final 3 nights of our 4 night stay which was disappointing as phone signal is hard to get at the apartment, making planning for day trips and excursions very difficult.
