Cosy, warm, croft cottage with log fire by the sea

AshleighRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fantastic holiday in Sarah’s cottage in Assynt. It is cosy and warm; set in an idyllic location with an amazing view of the sea. The cottage has a new heating/hot water system as well as a fire - which is perfect - and needed if the weather turns! A homely wee place with everything you’d need. Sarah is very helpful and provided some good suggestions for our visit. A great host. 5 star holiday!! We can’t wait to come back soon!

Raven Cottage

Raven cottage was wonderfully quirky, full of character with slightly rustic charm. The bed was very comfy and after a day walking along the beautiful beaches and headlands I slept really well. The kitchen was appreciated with everything you could need.

Lodge with private hot tub.

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Ishbel and Angus's place. The lodge was very comfortable, clean and bigger than it looks in the photos. The hot tub was a welcome respite in the evenings after our hill walking adventures, and you never tire of the views, they are outstanding. We mainly did hill walking and scrambling in the area. We booked a two day scrambling course with a local guide which was fantastic. We walked/ran to and from Scoraig, and we enjoyed a two hour boat trip around the summer isles from Ullapool. We definitely recommend the Sea Shack in Ullapool for fresh seafood! The area is remote, peaceful and quiet, a perfect getaway from it all. You can truly switch off here and enjoy the natural world.

The Gate Lodge

Great new addition to AirBnB! Everything as described and better. Perfectly and very welcoming prepared for our arrival. Bathroom is brand new. Everything has been spotless clean. Overall very cosy. Easy communication with a very friendly host. Potential proximity to NC 500 wasn‘t a factor at all, it was so quiet. Would love to stay here again!

Spectacular Views from Scourie Home on NC500

Our second stay here and I very much hope there will be a third trip! Wonderful memories made in a really special place. Our last stay was bright sunshine whereas this time it was a more traditional mixed bag, even the kids commented that it was great to get more time to enjoy the house. Magical.
