had a lovely stay here, was really nice and the hosts are lovely!

The place far exceeded our expectations. It was equipped with EVERYTHING we would have needed to not go anywhere the whole time. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking necessities, the kind beds in every room with vaulted ceilings made us feel like the boujee girls we want to be. The views were breathtaking and being able to have all of our meals outdoors with heat and covering made it so memorable. The house came with cars and outdoor games too to use on the nice open yard. It really felt like the place was ours. The icing on the cake was the chairs, wood and starters to make our own little beach fire right below the house and roast marshmallows while watching the sunset. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough! Definitely coming back!

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

Very comfortable rental with lots of space for a couple as well as several sitting areas on the deck in a quiet neighbourhood! You do have a short drive to restaurants and groceries but easily accessed! We were very happy with our stay!!

Haining’s beautiful home is surrounded by nature, cute little towns, and the ocean just minutes away. Although we only stayed for one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, welcoming, and even had some board games which we enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Priceless views and amazing architecture are showpieces of this magnificent home that combines coziness, elegance, comfort and rustic charm. We’ve stayed at many airbnbs, but this one is a new favorite. It’s an ideal getaway for the whole family; plus it’s close to interesting hikes and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked for eating at home. We didn’t enjoy the taste of the well water, but bought drinking water at Tru Value. Carley was very responsive and helpful throughout. We would love to come back in the summer.

I recently stayed at Ashley's place, and it was an exceptional experience! The property was exactly as described (and even better in person). It was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the décor and amenities made it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect, especially the view was amazing. I loved the closed huge backyard too because of my dog. Ashley was incredibly welcoming and providing clear communications. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. We definitely gonna stay at this place again. This time Summer.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful, quirky home. We had lots of space to come together and our own little nooks to retreat for some quiet time. The kids loved learning to swim in the pool. We all enjoyed exploring the property which is full of little discoveries and surprises to delight. Waking up to birdsong was so lovely. It's close to beaches (drive or bike) and trails (walkable). We are already planning our next visit. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was a fabulous rental, it was perfect in every way. Every step of this booking was just a great experience, the host was so friendly and fun to chat with and thought of everything a traveller might need. All of the instructions were clear and well thought out, everything was as expected if not better, the place was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for. Derek’s place was very clean and cozy. It was very welcoming and we felt like home when we stayed at his place. My family were very comfortable while staying there and Derek was also easy to communicate wiith. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Our family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed our stay at Oceanside Escapes. Johanna and Julie were readily available to answer any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was well-supplied and had a binder listing many local recommendations. It was a short walk to Rathtrevor Beach which we all enjoyed, particularly our dog. All essential amenities and many attractions were nearby. The central air conditioner was especially helpful in keeping the whole cabin cool during the hotter days. We will be back.

Enjoyed the privacy of the unit and the beauty of Pacific Shores Resort. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes and pots and pans. Heidi communicated well with good information.

This place had it all: beautiful scenery, great amenities, clear instructions, and a short drive to dozens of amazing locations in the area. It was the perfect and peaceful place to unwind after a busy week, and we’d love to come back again some day!

I almost didnt want to write this review because (selfishly) I don't want more people finding out about this amazing getaway spot! 600m walk to a private beach with dock access.. View of the lake from the backyard.. What more can you ask for. Would 100% stay here again!

Stunning scenery and beautifully decorated, this home was spectacular. I wish we could have stayed longer, we will definitely be back. Of special mention was the comfortable bed and pillows!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. James &Helga have kept place clean and private with spectacular views just like photos. They even offered us early check in without asking. The jam tastes amazing , if you are there do not miss to try it out. Our overall experience was great.

We had a great 3-night stay at Bonnie and Dave's place. We enjoyed the peaceful rural setting, the hot tub, and the outdoor fire pit. Bonnie and Dave even let us put up our tent in front of the Airbnb, so that my husband and son could have a bit of a "camping" experience--something our son had wanted to do all summer. The kitchen was well-equipped for making family meals, and we appreciated Bonnie's freshly baked muffins, eggs, and other food she left for us. The location of the Airbnb worked well for a fun day trip to Salt Spring Island via the Crofton ferry, being only a 15-20 minute drive from Crofton, and it was only about a 40-minute drive from the Kinsol Trestle section of the Cowichan Valley Trail, which we enjoyed biking along. Bonnie, Dave, and their dog, Sawyer, were away during our stay, so we didn't get to meet them on this visit, but they were always prompt, helpful, and friendly with all their communications. Thanks again for a great stay, Bonnie and Dave!

This was our third year in a row staying at Derek’s cabin on Beaver Lake, and we absolutely love it. The property is safe and enclosed, making it perfect for the kids to play freely. Access to the lake is fantastic, and it’s just minutes from the town center of Lake Cowichan. The cabin itself is cozy and inviting — the two-bedroom layout is ideal for a family of four. The backyard is especially magical at night around the fire pit. Derek has been incredibly accommodating, and communication has always been seamless. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Julie's place is spectacular. 7 of us came up for a bachelorette weekend and this place did not disappoint! It has everything we needed and more! the back deck was probably our favourite place, gorgeous view of the lake. We got to take advantage of the sleeping nook, and it rained the first night and the sound of the rain on the roof was amazing! I hope to be able to stay there again and discover even more things as we were just too busy to enjoy them all! ! I highly recommend for any occasion! I hope to be able to stay again soon!
