Beach house holiday rentals in Cornwall

Beautiful cottage right above the beach in Portwrinkle, with coastal path walks in either direction. Within easy reach of Plymouth via the Torpoint ferry. We had a lovely Easter break there.

We borrowed buckets and spades (and trucks and diggers) from the collection in the shed and took the short walk down to the lovely sandy beach most days. My granddaughter had heaps of fun playing in the shallow pools and golden sand in the sun. There were bodyboards too, but she's a little little for that just yet. Nanny was usually to be found observing us from the comfort of the Cove Cafe and admiring the wonderful vista - St Ives Bay in the sunshine (which is also the view from the house itself). The bravest of us swam in the chilly sea and returned invigorated, eyes sparkling. Suki charged about with energy and enthusiasm, greeting every other dog on the beach. We highly recommend this place. Notes: It's a flat beach, so the sea is very close a high tide and a long way off at low tide. Eating out in Cornwall is expensive. The house has a well-equipped kitchen and there is a Lidl and M&S Food Hall nearby if you are minded to eat in. The train St Erth<->St Ives is a nice option.

This place is a real gem and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for beautiful views, peace and serenity. It's within a short walk of amazing beaches and close to all local amenities that you need. St. Ives is easily accessible and we used it as a base for many other Cornish locations - Penzance, Land's End and Falmouth were an easy drive away. The property itself, aside from being in a great location, was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and had all amenities that were advertised and the pictures in the listing were accurate and recent. Karen was a great host, very responsive and left a number of goodies in the kitchen to welcome us, which was an extra special touch that we didn't expect. We stayed for 7 nights and could easily have stayed longer.

We had the best weekend staying in Amanada’s house celebrating a birthday it was beautiful. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos & my 2 year old loved looking out to sea every morning seeing the birds. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much ☺️ one bonus for families thinking of booking that I did not see prior to our stay is the stairgate at the top of the stairs to the kitchen it was perfect with 2 young children we could shut this off.

As a family of 4 the property was ideal, it had all the amenities required for our 4 day stay. The property is stunning, so tastefully furnished and decorated, it is in a prime location with stunning sea views. Its location is great for strolling into Penzance and a short car journey to local sites, such as the Minack theatre, which is well worth a visit as well as St Ives. We were luckily enough to meet Lenn during our stay, he knows the area well and gave some great suggestions as well as being a great host, we found the property easily and followed Lenn’s instructions to a tee, we would recommend Lenn and Gord’s beautiful property, and was very sad to leave it to come home, a stunning find x

A gorgeous house within walking distance of Hayle beach. The house was brilliantly appointed and was very comfortable. Gorgeous views over the estuary enhanced our stay. Annie was a great host - very responsive and informative.

We had a wonderful stay. The house and its surroundings were exactly as described – it really does have the feel of a luxury hotel, but with the warmth and space of a home. It’s beautifully decorated, spacious, and welcoming. The views are stunning, and the beach is just a stone’s throw away – perfect for our 4.5-year-old to walk to. Town is also just a short five-minute stroll away. We’d also highly recommend Highlanes Fish & Chips – only a five-minute drive and well worth it. All in all, a lovely stay. Clean, spacious, fantastic views, and a brilliant location.

A beautiful place with stunning a sea view. Felt like home away from home. Super clean place with stylish furniture and fresh linen and towels. Jennifer the host was so friendly and helpful and went out of her way to answer any questions asap. We already have recommended this place to our friends and will be staying there again when we come back to Cornwall. If we could give it six stars we would.

Absolutely stunning location! The views are outstanding and the private access direct to the estuary/beach is great. The garden is steep but that’s to be expected, we made great use of the pool and hot tub and it was an added bonus that we could use the paddle boards! The house its self is beautiful and spotlessly clean. A few things do need sorting though, there was the odd missing door handle, bifold doors are hard to use and the master bathroom door didn’t close. However these didn’t bother us at all as everything else was perfect. Easy walking distance to Crantock and Fistral beaches, which were both beautiful. We would 100% book again! Coastal path 20 minutes away, close to river Gannel. Which take you straight to Crantock beach where you can swim during low tide. David has everything you can need at his place. They have made it comfortable, cozy and feels like home once you get indoors. Our dog loved it as there was so much outdoor space.

We had the most fantastic big family holiday here! The property easily accommodated 9 adults plus a wee one, with the hot tub and the games room being great bonuses to add to our enjoyment. The whole house was brilliantly equipped with excellent furnishings both inside and out on the patio, had very comfortable beds and the cleaning products and soap etc were very much appreciated. Having the Londis shop so close was very handy and we enjoyed some delicious food at the Jam Jar cafe/pizzeria just down the road. Newquay is just a short car ride away with all the beaches, supermarkets and restaurants you could ever want. There just wasn’t enough time to do everything we would have liked to do…..so we will just have to come back again!! Thank you for an amazing property where we could all gather and enjoy such a memorable holiday.

Alan has provided clear details to reach the location and check in was easier. Place was clean and has all necessary amenities. No issues during our entire stay and we enjoyed the vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay and we will definitely be back! The house was perfect for us all and we had loads of space. The kids loved the pool table! Great house, so well stocked we had all we needed. The surrounding area is beautiful and the beach is lovely with great places to eat and little beach shop which came in very handy when the kids all needed beach shoes! Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful. The only thing I would say is that the house is advertised as a “Lodge with hot tub” but you have to pay extra for the hot tub which I think could have been made clearer, not other than that absolutely no complaints at all. We loved our family stay at William’s place! It was loaded with all the amenities that we needed. The kitchen was very well stocked. The heated pool was a great addition when the ocean was cold. The location was amazing…walk into town or take the Ferry across to Padstow for lots of great shopping and eateries. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at Jenny’s place. The location of the house is lovely, and the balcony really allows you to make the most of the beautiful views. The space itself is very homely, with a good amount of space. We would highly recommend staying with Jenny!

We were 4 adults and a baby and had a great stay for the week. Beverley was easy to communicate with and her place has a memorable view . Great outdoor spots to view the honour and follow the sun. Nice lower green space with grass and lounge chairs and a lovely patio. Tastefully furnished, comfortable and quiet.

Corri’s cottage is fabulous, beautifully decorated with comfortable sofas and beds. Kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed to cook on the few evenings we didn’t eat out. Lovely garden with sofas/chairs to lounge on which we did get to enjoy despite some mixed weather. Mousehole is a perfect place to set off on some stunning costal walks which is what we spent our week doing. We also enjoyed dinner at 2 Fore Street, Mackerel Sky & the Tolcarne Inn.

What an amazing find! Utterly private and feels very rural. Even though the lovely village of St Agnes and glorious beaches and towns are only a short distance away! Very cosy and eclectic home with some delicious treats and a bottle of fizz left by Kate and Simon. If you do stay, you HAVE TO use Sunny Spice, whether it’s for takeaway or eat in. Best South Indian food and yummy dosas I’ve had outside of London or Kerala! Thank you for making us so welcome and for the brilliant recommendations of places to go and local eateries.

Great little place in an unspoilt fishing village. We loved Mousehole. Pros Felt at home. Super comfy beds, great linen & soft towels. We all slept extremely well. Some beautiful lounge chairs. We loved the leather chair in the lounge. Perfect for a morning coffee and the papers! Peaceful and great views of St Michael’s Mount etc. Cons Not many. Very uncomfortable sofa. Few chipped plates Not related to the house but Mousehole. The parking was very tricky. To the point we were unable to park on 2 occasions and my partner had to park quite far out of the village and walk home in the rain very late at night. It’s something to bear in mind. We wish we just got the local bus or taxis everywhere.

Just returned from a lovely weeks stay at the Gem and everything about it was perfect - fully equipped, spotless + great location. In walking distance to some lovely restaurants in town or Fistral beach and Crantock beach. It is also a great location to explore other costal towns in Cornwall. If you have a paddleboard or Kayak I would recommend taking it as you can walk straight down to the waters edge from the property. Overall this was a 10/10 stay.

My husband, myself and our dog had a fantastic holiday staying at Thimble Cottage. The cottage is beautiful with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. Its location is perfect for local walks and exploring and there is a lovely pub two doors down with extremely friendly staff and good food. Places like St Ives were just a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring such a beautiful part of Cornwall and would happily stay here again.

Amazing stay at the nest. The house is fabulous, very new and extremely well designed, both in layout and decor.. The house has quite an industrial feel about it, being on the site of the old foundry - I loved the black and white framed photos of the local areas (I located the shop and treated myself to one of Charlestown) . Super clean (I already gave Dan my compliments to his cleaner) very modern bathrooms and kitchen, with all amenities.. I think I counted 3 TV's, very comfortable bed, and WIFI seemed super fast. I am very picky about the places that I stay at, and this exceeded expectations. Dan was a brilliant host... he allowed my a slightly later check out and answered all of my questions within minutes. Also the fact he allowed my dog to stay was a plus point - always tough to find high quality places that allow your pets. Charlestown itself is lovely, plenty of choice with restaurants and pubs, and numerous little shops to while away your time.. thanks Dan 10/10
