Waterfront holiday rentals in Coco

My husband and I took our first family vacation with our 2.5 year old son, and Pedro's home was the perfect family-friendly location. First, the home itself felt even nicer than shown in the pictures. The home was spotless, spacious, and included everything we needed for our stay. Our toddler was delighted by all of the beach and pool toys on the property, and the pool has a large shallow ledge that made swimming much more accessible to him. The pool was cleaned every morning by the groundskeeper who was very friendly. The property is fully gated, and we felt safe and comfortable knowing that Pedro and his wife lived on the third floor, and the groundskeeper also lived on the property. That said, our stay still felt private. The location and views simply cannot be beat. Each evening, the sun sets directly in front of the property over the ocean. Playa Hermosa as a whole was quiet, calm, and welcoming, and I'd argue that Pedro's home is the best property there.

Great place to stay. Central location and very convenient check in and check out process. Security on the premises were also very nice. Really great we could use the pool as well!

What a spot for a vacation! The location was prime and the room itself was well suited for everything you need. This is a hidden gem in the area. Things I appreciated the most: The ocean was steps away for a swim at anytime. The shop keepers and restaurant owners downstairs are great people and pleasant to talk to during your stay. Waffle monkey (breakfast) and Portofino are the best spots for breakfast, fresh seafood, low cost happy hours, and fire show at night during sunset. You can literally walk anywhere in minutes. There is 3 separate door with locks to get to your top floor rental so this spot is very safe! If you are lucky, you'll notice a 5 foot iguana that rests in the trees to your right off the porch, spending days in the trees. Alvaro is the mgmt person who helps you. He speaks great English and responds rapidly to questions. Can't wait to return and bring family. The two units next to each other would be an ideal joint rental for a group of 5-7 people. Highly recommend!!!

The condo was as described and is in a great location. The views are beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. The little beach is great and there are many iguana around the property, much to the delight of our child. The pool was clean and there was plenty of room. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time in Play Hermosa! The condo was immaculate, comfortable, and so close to the beach! And Playa Hermosa is the most fantastic little beach town. The beach is beautiful and quiet, so relaxing, and there is an amazingly great selection of yummy restaurants to choose from. One of the nicest things about our stay in the condo was the huge master bedroom with such a comfy king bed and a marvelous view from the window which runs the full length of the room. The kitchen is well-stocked and a pleasure to cook in. And there's a lovely swimming pool just steps from the door. Everything is as advertised -- even better. What a great find!

Clean, bright, airy apartment right on Potrero beach. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, and a very well-equipped, spacious kitchen. 5-10 minute walk—via the beach if we wanted—to several excellent restaurants and a serviceable grocery store. Loved watching pelicans dive for fish from the balcony and the stunning sunsets.

Definitely a place to go back again!

Overall we loved this place. Highly recommend. Calin met us upon arrival which was helpful. Location is great. Short walk to the beach and short drives to 3 other beaches Several restaurants in walking distance. Nice friendly community in a cluster of condos. If you’re staying more than 5 days buy some extra toilet paper and paper towels. And bath soap and shampoo. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. It was a great start to our 3 week adventure in CR. Dean was very helpful in terms of check in and any needs we had during the stay. His place was beautiful in a very quiet, private community just a few steps to the beach. The view from the porch was amazing! Highly recommend Deans home.

WONDERFUL owners and home! This was a great spot in a safe place. Just minutes away from Playa Conchal and Playa Flamingo. The communication was A+++ and so was their home. Google maps got a little confused about the address so it took a few extra minutes but the owner helped immediately. It is a beautiful place and completely fenced/gated. Highly recommend!

This Airbnb is the perfect place to disconnect. The area is super quiet—ideal for relaxing and recharging. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Rodrigo was an amazing host—always attentive, quick to respond, and thoughtful about every detail. You can tell he genuinely cares about making the stay great. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway away from the noise, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

We felt right at home at Andres place. The outdoor shower was a standout. I've always wanted one! We also were visited by howler monkeys in the AM. It was beautiful.

The pictures really don’t do this place justice. From the personal escort to the very private location to the incredible view and peaceful location, very clean and modern decor and responsive house manager Alex, we were very happy with spending a little extra to be here. Alex also suggested things to do, a restaurant that could deliver (Almar) when we were exhausted from tours during the day, and recommenced tge cutest boutique restaurant on the beach we went back to multiple times (Roberto’s). The pool was the perfect temperature and while a couple of minor things came up during our stay, Alex addressed them immediately. I highly recommend booking Casa Mulira!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay. Can’t beat the location on the beach—beautiful black sand beach with few people. Lots of birds and monkeys and lizards. Beds were comfortable and the condo had everything we needed. Also loved the pool which was very close to our unit.

Not much to add beyond the countless rave reviews here. The restorative and serene view and location is obviously the best quality, but the condo itself is comfortable and offers all the comforts of home as well. We loved the empty beach, the sound of the surf, and the cackle of the tropical birds. If you want crowds and traffic jams, head to Tamarindo. If you yearn for quiet and a vintage Costan Rican experience, I recommend without hesitation.

Best AirBNB I’ve stayed at. Had everything you could ever want and truly felt like a home. All the nice extra touches made it truly wonderful stay. Beautifully decorated and comfortable spaces. Pool was great and super quick walk to the beach. Owners blog ultimatepurevida had all kinds of helpful tips and recommendations. Wonderful place couldn’t recommend more. Pura Vida!

Brandon’s place was exceptionally beautiful. Our family really enjoyed our stay. The pool table got a lot of use! The views from the balcony were stunning. I would argue that these were the best sunset views in the entire town! The front balcony offered sunrise views as well! We spent most of our time on the rear balcony, enjoying those views. It was clean, easy self check in and the property manager Allen was very responsive and helpful in setting up excursions! We wished we could have stayed another week! We absolutely loved our time at this condo! Ron was an incredibly responsive host and super helpful for any needs we had. The condo views were stunning and the ability to just walk steps to the beach cannot be beat!! The condo itself was comfortable, had everything we needed for a week long stay, was secure and we truly felt right at home. We would 100% recommend this property to anyone headed to Potrero. The location not only provides that easy beach access but it’s a short walk to multiple restaurants and adventures. We have stayed in Potrero multiple times before and we would without a doubt stay here again.

We love going to Reserva Conchal and Daphne's place had everything we wanted, from plenty of bedrooms, to a great location and view overlooking the golf course. Once inside the reserve, we had access to both The Westin and The W and all the amenities they had to offer. Great place to spend a weekend.

Excellent AirBnB. Views from the deck and pool are superb. The unit is super clean, quiet and safe. Beds are comfy, on the soft side which we like. Water pressure is low and variable, but that’s not unusual. Condo complex grounds are very well maintained. Beautiful and clean pool and friendly maintenance staff. The location is walking distance to both the marina and the beautiful Flamingo Beach. Finally, Ray is phenomenal. We’ve had lots of hosts and he is by far the best! He is extremely responsive and provides useful information and recommendations beyond the standard AirBnB. He clearly cares about his guests’ experience. We highly recommend his place and will definitely stay here if we return to the area. Thanks Ray!

This was our first visit to Costa Rica. It was also our first destination out of five. We were looking for somewhere to relax and rest before we continued. Our place was perfect! Well stocked, clean, serene and beautiful. Our host, Sebastian, was really helpful. He found our friends, who had been a bit lost (no gps) and told us where to go for SIM cards. We swam in the pool And the ocean as well.

The resort and condo were beautiful! We loved it, slept like babies, and enjoyed everything about it! We did wish there were better restaurants in walking distance; Cocoloco was AWFUL! The food was disgusting and not even slightly good! But the resort was great, and the bartender, Kevin, made a great welcome drink! If you go, find Livid (Pronounced Laveed), a pizza place in a nearby town (Bracilito) with brick oven pizzas. Costa Rican food is not good; most restaurants we went to sucked, to be honest!
