Such a beautiful and peaceful location. It was so easy to get to, the roads were well maintained and the house was spotless. I really appreciated the extra effort like coffee left with creamer and sugar and a little snack basket with individually wrapped pretzels and cookies. I can’t recommend this place enough as it was perfect for my husband, self, and our toddler. Will definitely be returning if in that direction again :)

Excellent stay in close proximity to most of Roanoke. We had a great time walking the river walk and exploring.

We stayed here with friends for a wedding and were conveniently close to the venue in Rocky Mount. Very clean house. Very comfortable to stay in.

Taylor was an amazing host. She was fantastic with communication, accommodating with our early check in request, and checked in on our stay. The house was perfect for our family to stay in during our wedding weekend. There were cute touches, extra's provided (kids toys and books), and our family loved the addition of the hot tub. Thank you for an amazing stay, we will definitely be back!

Almost, Almost Heaven was truly like a little slice of Heaven. The scenery outside is beautiful. Inside is open, clean and very spacious. The hosts have truly thought of everything in all the fine details such as the motion activated night lights and having everything labeled and precise, clear instructions. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a quiet peaceful home away from home.

The house was beautiful and secluded. All of the extra little spaces outside are a huge bonus, I thoroughly enjoyed having the creek right there, in the outdoor space with the fire pit is nothing short of amazing. Needless to say, if you’re looking for a space that can keep your kids entertained as well as you entertained and comfortable, This is a perfect place! The only complaint that I have would be the water purifier going off in the middle of the night for about two hours. It’s slightly loud in a bit ridiculous but honestly, it gave my husband and I something to giggle about. Overall, it’s a really nice place and we really enjoyed our stay and we will be back to fancy gap, in this particular home next year!

Great little spot! Our favorite part was sitting on the porch listening/watching the train go by. The Palisades Restaurant next door was yummy. It was the perfect location for us. Definitely want to come back to the area.

Donna and Vince place was spotless and very well laid out with clear instructions. Easy location and accessible to major highways. Local restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The number of beds and having two bathrooms was very nice. Kitchen was well stocked. Fenced in backyard would be nice for those with pets. We enjoyed the wildlife.

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

This Airbnb is in an absolutely stunning location. We stayed here for my daughter‘s graduation from Virginia Tech and it’s a 30 minute drive from campus. It is down some windy mountain roads, but the views are spectacular. The apartment is exactly as described; everything was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this apartment.The host was super responsive and if we are ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

We had three families vacation together that included 6 adults and 4 children. There was plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub each day. Ruth made sure both were cleaned and ready each day for us. Our first night we had pizza delivered since we all had traveled that day but then we cooked dinner each night after. We utilized the crockpot and air fryer the most. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The back porch was beautiful and we spent a lot of time there. The afternoon showers were peaceful to watch from the porch. The kids really enjoyed the TV room. They were able to spread out and relax in the evenings after dinner. Grocery shopping was easy and very close by the house. We didn’t venture outside the house other to grab groceries. The kids favorite part was when Ruth and Cowboy Sam stopped by with his horse April. He let each kid ride April. It was a nice surprise! Thanks for an amazing stay!

I must say this was my first experience with ever staying in a Airbnb and wanted a change from a hotel and very glad we decided to give this a try. Tammy was an absolutely awesome host very responsive and a very nice lady. The description matches everything. Very beautiful property and very clean.

Absolutely stunning! When you open the door, it gives you the wow feeling. Would definitely recommend this and will be returning.

Staying at this cozy cabin was like a slice of heaven. Relaxing in the hot tub after a long day was exactly what we needed

The house was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and then some! The view was gorgeous and the location was close to the main plaza. We got to enjoy tons of wildlife as we were greeted by many deer families each morning. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the neighbors were all very friendly. Lastly while not really a pro or con, it is worth mentioning for those with mobility or stability issues, that while the slope to the water is much more gentle than other local properties, it is still a little steep of an incline and the rock path can get slick if it rains. Just watch your step and go slow though and you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful lake view from the dock!

The apartment was nice and clean, close the river. We didn’t know there wasn’t a TV. We should have noticed it I guess. It wasn’t a problem for us. It was a new ce place to stay, and dog friendly.

We had an excellent stay in this cabin. It was quiet and private but still close to things we wanted to do. The little walking trail on the property was great. 10/10 would stay here again.

it was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. My husband and I stayed here for our 2nd anniversary. We felt refreshed and at peace. The sauna and hot tub were definitely a pleasure. My favorite night was when I was in the hot tub and it was raining on the tin roof. so relaxing. If we ever go back I will definitely want to stay there again

We thoroughly enjoyed our time away out at the cabin. The tubing was AMAZING! and the nature is just gorgeous. What a lovely opportunity to slow down. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Loved the bath tub and the rocking chairs. We made a fire outside each night and took lots of walks. Very tranquil

My fiance and I were able to book the cabin for a last minute weekend getaway. The house was very clean, cute and perfect for what we needed. Our dog enjoyed the big fenced in yard, and we enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We had everything we needed to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner (bring your own seasonings though), and got restful sleep! We were beyond grateful to enjoy this home for the weekend! The biggest complaints on the reviews are the wifi and the driveway... we didn't have any issues with either personally.. but if you're afraid to get your car dirty or need to work the whole trip, maybe pick something closer to town.. otherwise its perfect to unplug and unwind!

Repeat guest with another awesome stay @ Emma & Justin’s place. Very cute & inviting space, spotlessly clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Responsive hosts and great location to downtown Roanoke. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to the next visit.

This was our second time staying here. We love it. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. It’s perfect for staying the night if you’ve got a long road trip. We stop at a grocery store before we get there and get stuff to make for dinner since it isn’t really close to anything and you don’t want to drive again after being on the road- plus we never want to leave there since it’s so peaceful. Great to stay with toddlers/babies. We will always pick to stay here when given the chance.
