Beautiful Villa in a nice peaceful location

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

A beautiful moment of relaxation after a long motorcycle ride. Swimming pool, fountain, lights, pleasant and well-arranged natural space. a much appreciated breakfast to start the day. i recommend it.

We loved the house, everyone has their own room with their own bathroom, which allows each person in due time to be either in a group or alone to rest, take a nap or read. Heaven. Really enjoyed Christelle’s place. Stunning apartment and the sauna was a nice touch. Christelle was a great host and even sorted as out when we left the lights on the car overnight and flattened the battery. Area is quiet and not much nearby but was the perfect place for us as we explored the area. I would highly recommend.

The apartment is perfectly equipped and clean. It is very well located while being quiet. It is a perfect base for discovering the city of Royan and its surroundings while enjoying excellent services. The bedding is also excellent quality! Finally, the communication of the entry and departure procedures was very clear.

I highly recommend this accommodation, which is good value for money. The host is very attentive and responds quickly. Accommodation close to a lot of things, the lake, the beach and the pool with the paddling pool, which is great for young children.

Everything was there: impeccable cleanliness, optimal comfort, neat decoration, quiet and quality amenities. You feel at home there from the first few minutes. An excellent stay in Camille's impeccable apartment, which testifies to her good attention to her guests. We particularly appreciated the friendly provision of tea, coffee and a recommendation sheet for the surrounding area. Camille was considerate, allowing us to arrive earlier. The residence was particularly peaceful.

We had a great stay in this calm and beautiful location. Plenty of space and the kids appreciated the pool even though a bit fresh being early in the summer season. We spent most of our time at the beach as it’s only a 10 minute drive away. Many thanks to Eric who was a great host and explained everything we needed to know about the house and the equipment. We will definitely return again here if the chance comes along.

A great choice. A beautiful and very quiet location in the heart of the French vineyards. A nice and comfortable home. Perfectly integrated into the vineyards and with fantastic views. In reality, it is much more impressive than in the photos. It is within easy reach to visit Bordeaux and Saint-Emilion by car, as well as other highlights in the surrounding area. Jean Louis was a very accessible and attentive host, and with nice touches. Highly recommended!
