Family-friendly holiday rentals in Charlevoix County

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo on the Boyne Mountain Resort campus! It's in the Creekside section of the resort, so it's a ~20min walk from the "village" within the resort (where the lodge is and most of the restaurants are) or a super quick 5-min drive. As an Airbnb guest, there is a $20+ daily fee if you want to access the gym and pools. The condo itself is very nice and exactly as pictured. It's a 1st floor unit with lovely views of the valley out the window. The indoor/outdoor fireplace and hot tub are amazing perks of this space! Being on the 1st floor, you are subject to the noise of whomever is above you, and we did hear a bit of stomping around, but nothing that really bothered us. The guest bedroom (with 2 beds) is quite dark and the only window is a window well (i.e. you can't see outside), which was not ideal, but overall this is a lovely spot and we would come back to stay again. The hosts were very responsive!

Ive rented alot of air bnbs over the years. So far? This has been the best experience ive had. The house was amazing. Super clean. Comfortable beds. Super well stocked with amenities that most places dont provide. Jennifer is super easy to communicate with and get ahold of. We will be back next year:)

This place was so nice and relaxing! One thing that we were happy about is that they welcomed dogs! We have 2, 9 month old mini poodles and this was their first adventure so having a host that accepts pets was #1 on our list. This place is way better than the pictures! We felt right at home and we loved watching the boats go by on the river! The beds were so comfy and made for an even better relaxing time. I highly recommend this place. It is very private and quiet! We saw lots of different types of birds, including a couple eagles. We knew a beaver was close by but never got to see him, only his handy work. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back in the future! Thank you Donald, we soooo enjoyed your place!

We stayed at Cathy's place while having plans at Nub's Nob. The location was absolutely perfect. Cathy was incredibly friendly and helpful. The house was beautiful and comfortable and it truly felt like a home away from home. We would, without a doubt, stay here again when in the area.

Wonderful host. Communicated daily to be sure everything was going well and that we didn't need anything. When we had questions, she answered very quickly.

Wonderful host and fantastic condo. Comfortable, clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Very nice linens and towels. Location was perfect for us to access Nubs Nob and restaurants in Harbor Springs. Janine was exceptionally welcoming and responsive.

We loved our stay above the Boat House. Room was clean and uncluttered, but with a few books and games to make it cozy. Location was quiet and peaceful. Loved sitting on the deck with a book. I would definitely stay here again! Carol was a great host, even letting me keep the room an extra couple hours until the ferry came.

Nothing but praises for Patricia & John. Out of all of my airBnB stays, the welcoming rustic environment they have created at the Balsams is untouched in comparison to others & holds a special place for us. This was our second stay and it only expanded on the amazing first time we had. Simple things like local suggestions, dvd titles on hand to browse through (no cable or wifi here folks), owners available to just talk added so much to the care of our stay + comforts available. Plus the history of the Balsams alone adds depth for those willing to dig in a little bit on the knowledge provided (check out the cabin binder for more). Thank you both again - we look forward to our next trip & wish you both the best!

Our group of 5 adults and 2 kids had a great time at Christina’s place. We loved the sunsets and peaceful surroundings. Everything was clean and as described. Christina made for an easy stay. Everything leelanau is just a short drive away. We would love to be back someday.

This was a hidden gem!! We wish we would have booked another day to just explore the cabin and all it had to offer! We will definitely be back!

A delightful cottage on the Bluffs of Lake Michigan. You can hear the waves from the deck. The home was very clean and comfortable and perfect for our stay. We would highly recommend Lizzie’s home.

This house was beautiful and perfect distance from downtown that made it easy to walk everywhere. The house was perfect for a larger family to have the space to enjoy our company, but also have the privacy and larger family needs. Great place to stay!

Great place to unwind and relax! Ellsworth Lake is such a beautiful spot and holds many memories for our family.

First time staying at Beaver Tales and can’t wait to go back. This place is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for peace and relaxation this is the place for you. Short drive to iron ore bay of sandy beaches. The stars look so close but my favorite part is watching the sun rise in the am over Lake Michigan.

We stayed with another couple at this condo for a golf trip and loved everything about it! Convenient location and the views are unrivaled! The condo was very clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable! The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating! It was a lovely stay and we would definitely recommend it!

Mathew’s place was wonderful and it was so close to the lifts… we loved his cozy slope side chalet! We will definitely book again in the future!

We just concluded a delightful 2 week stay at Carolynn’s place. The first week we had our daughter and family join us. The home sits on a beautiful quiet property complete with a large deck and outside sitting area. Our grandkids loved their private loft. There were ample supplies to make our stay comfortable. Great showers, W & D, etc although the kitchen was dated. The facilities at Birchwood are outstanding (golf, swimming, and food) and Harbor Springs is a short 10 drive away.

This place was perfect for what we needed and a great location! Close to the boat launch, walkable to town & lots to do. Michelle & Thadd were so accommodating and flexible which was greatly appreciated with our two little ones. We will definitely be staying here again!

Awesome place at a super reasonable price. Charlevoix is beautiful with so much to offer within walking distance. Unit could use some minor updating but overall location can’t be beat. Owner was very responsive with questions. I ended up staying an extra day in another unit with water views but honestly this unit was preferable in terms of quietness, because it is in a quieter spot of the building. Would definitely stay again! Thanks for the great stay!

Had a perfect stay this weekend! Was close to everything and so convenient. Loved the back yard as well which is so nice to have available. Sunroom is the PERFECT place to have a cup of coffee in the morning. Will definitely be staying again! Thanks Andrew!

Sunset Glory has been our "go-to" ski weekend rental for years! We Love the apartment and being right in town and so close to the Highlands!
