Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Chania

We had a wonderful stay at Evangelo’s place. Check in was smooth and we were met with some groceries which was helpful. Always replied quickly and with helpful information. The views were incredible and very peaceful. Due to its remote location, you need a car but it was perfect for a quiet getaway. Some special memories here :) thanks!

We had a wonderful time on our trip. The accommodations were perfect and we enjoyed spending time in the pool. It was easy to walk to Old Town and many options for food nearby. Our host was very helpful and responsive - we appreciated the help setting up a pick up from the airport as our flight didn’t get in until late. Overall we had an amazing experience during our stay and I would highly recommend.

Villa anasa exceeded expectations. The pictures don't do it justice, the attention to detail in the interior is impressive. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. Gorgios was a gracious host and helpful in every way possible.

Great place directly opposite the beach - fantastic if you have toddlers like us. We ended up having dinner at the restaurant next door every day because the kids could play out there while we ate. If you want to visit the most beautiful beaches on Crete, this west coast location is great (though it should be noted that the beach near the house is actually facing north, which means it is thankfully not frequented by tourists). The host is very friendly and willing to help with any issues. The airbnb was very well equipped and prepared for our visit (including items we would not ordinarily expect like fruit, cake, and even a dinner on the first night - though we obviously knew about it based on previous reviews). We would come back here in a heartbeat!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Athina, such a wonderful place. The views are stunning from sunrise to sunset and it’s so beautifully peaceful. There’s lots of seating areas, for sun and shade, and evening dinners on the terrace was a real highlight. The hatch from the kitchen window is such a bonus, we had fun passing food out for the table and shouting ‘service’ 🛎️ Yannis and Emmanuel are wonderful hosts right from the time we booked, very attentive, providing lots of useful information and helping with our late evening arrival transfer from Heraklion. In addition, manager Georgia and her husband Stathis were super helpful and friendly, on hand during our stay, ensuring we had everything needed. We walked down to a fabulous local taverna called Laventis, food was delicious, but generally a car is needed to get about to amazing beaches, the old town is very pretty and we hired a boat for 5 hours, €150, a great way to explore. One of the best family holidays ever, thank you.

Our family of eight stayed at Villa Athena for 10 days in late May and it was wonderful. From the beginning to the end communication with Aggeliki, and with Jerry, was excellent. Checkin couldn’t be easier as Jerry meet us and walked us through the Villa. The Villa was very comfortable for our group of 8. The bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped which was perfect as we made a number of large dinners for the group with no problem. The outdoor space was spectacular, with lots of lounge, a very functional kitchen/bbq area, and an unbelievable view. While on Crete there was a very muddy rain one afternoon which made a real mess of everything outdoors. Jerry was over the next day power washed everything and cleaned the pool. Backed to normal within 24 hours. Thanks Jerry. Villa flow is a beautiful property that can easily handle a larger group, and which I would highly recommend choosing for your stay on Crete.

We recently stayed at this Airbnb for an autumn vacation and, overall, it was a pleasant experience. The house is clean, well-maintained, and the location is convenient for exploring the area. The amenities provided were more than adequate, and everything functioned as expected. One thing to note is that the hosts live on-site, which isn’t necessarily a problem, but their presence was definitely felt compared to other Airbnbs we stayed in so far. Nevertheless, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a well-kept, dog friendly space with hosts who are nearby to assist.

It was a perfect place! George and family were very hospitable! Our daughter was even allowed to play upstairs with his children! Apartment was nice, spacious and very clean! With large balconies (with a fantastic view) and a spacious garden that was perfect for our 4 year old daughter. We got lettuce, eggs, sheep's milk and olive oil from the garden. Close to the beach, nice restaurants and hiking trails. Repeatable! We enjoyed :).

This place is truly special. We enjoyed our time here so much. George’s parents-George and Alexandra were the best! Always a warm and friendly greeting. They were so kind and helpful. Their dog was also super sweet. They really made us feel at home. The place was great. Very comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay. The view was to die for!! Just spectacular. Every morning waking up and looking out the window made you feel such a sense of peace. The location was fabulous. Close to so many wonderful restaurants and the most beautiful beaches. In case you can’t tell, we totally loved our stay. You will not be disappointed with this lovely little gem. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

Stavros was fantastic, as was the history of this wonderful place. Rethymno was a beautiful town and we explored everywhere on foot. We decided on walking in the morning and then having a late lunch (each lunch was fantastic) and walking back up the hill to have a light supper on the deck at sunset. Beautiful and thank you so much for the care you put into your house to make it a wonderful experience.

We had a very pleasant stay with our 4 month old baby. The hosts where very accommodating and overall the apartment is well equipped. Location wise its super close to nice beaches and to the lovely villages around Vamos. Also Chania is easily reachable by car. All in all very recommended. Only downside were the sheets, but its typical for greece. I guess we are spoiled with our egyption cotton/satin fitted sheets🤣

Yannis is an amazing host. When we arrived at his Airbnb just outside of Chania city center, he greeted us warmly and shared excellent restaurant recommendations. He even welcomed us with a bottle of lovely wine and some delicious local raki. The Airbnb itself is perfect for both families and couples — spacious, comfortable, and equipped with great amenities. The location is ideal: close to Chania center for exploring the charming old town and port restaurants, near beautiful beaches, and perfect for relaxing on the spacious balcony. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. It was located in a more local area about 30-40 minutes from downtown Chania. We were surrounded by stunning views in the mountains. It was quiet, peaceful, and private. Sofia greeted us with such a friendly welcome and a delicious home cooked meal. She was very responsive too. We also enjoyed her local restaurant recommendations. The home itself is beautiful, it was lovely learning about its history and how beautifully traditional the home was kept yet equipped with many updated amenities. Note that renting a car is a must! We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Had a wonderful time at this Airbnb! Location was superb, a great place for exploring easy reach of Chania and Rethymno. The town has 3 eating places, Monica’s was the highlight! Airbnb its self was so peaceful, with amazing views the outside space had been thought through with lovely dining areas and sunbeds, it gets the sun from midmorning to night. Would recommend to anyone, loved it!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—just a short walk to great restaurants and a beautiful, warm, shallow beach that was perfect for our family. The house itself exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly spacious and had more bathrooms than any Airbnb we've ever booked, which made a big difference for our large group. The pool was a lot of fun, even without heating, and the jacuzzi was a great bonus. The place was spotless and truly felt like a hidden gem right in the city—hard to believe you can find something this nice in such a convenient location. Nicolas, the host, was fantastic. He provided a helpful written guide and surprised us with several thoughtful freebies. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommended!

Georgia is a very gracious host. She welcomed us upon our arrival, showed us the supplies, and provided all the necessary information about the area. The house had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable and quiet. It was also clean and spacious enough for all 11 of us.

We stayed here 2-9th June I have no negatives to say, Mariam was just amazing. So friendly from the moment we arrived. Her home is absolutely beautiful, yes it was big for us but it had everything we wanted and the price was amazing! We had no issues during our stay, welcomed with a beautiful fruit bowl, water and wine and to top it off when we left Mariam gave us another gift of local olive oil! The tennis court was a good place to allow our toddlers to run around happy, amazing space for the kids to be free and play. We went to the local beach 3 days during our holiday, which was only a 15 minute walk, Mariam provided beach toys, spades, umberella and towels which were all appreciated. We have already said but we would definitely come back here, probably with more family as it is such a big lovely space!

Our family enjoyed 2 fantastic weeks at the Blue Lake Villa! The villa has an incredible view of Lake Kournas and is equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. We feel like we are part of the lives of the local people but also within walking distance of the tavernas, shops and activities at Lake Kournas. The nearest beach is about 10 minutes' drive from the villa. We felt safe and pampered thanks to the care and multiple attentions (desserts, eggs, recommendations, etc.) of Polymnia and her family! We highly recommend a stay at the Blue Lake Villa!
