Holiday rentals with a kayak in Central Illinois

The house was even better than we imagined it would be! It felt more like a retreat than an Airbnb experience! The location was beautiful and easy to get around. The yard was beautiful and private. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked and clean. The washer dryer combo was also a cool feature. We loved our stay and will be back for sure!

I rented Leah's home for my son's. They love to fish and Leah's home was the perfect place. They enjoyed the pontoon boat and sitting around the bonfire. The house was clean and kitchen equipped with everything needed for their weekend of grilling. Leah was a perfect host. Thank you, Michelle

Great place to stay….easy check in. Had everything you would need for any activity. Great views. We stayed there while visiting family in the area. Will stay again. We fished from the beach. Although pretty windy my son did kayak some. The beach/sand toys and fishing rods came in handy as well. Plenty of chairs and places to sit for family when they stopped in.

Derek was an amazing host, very helpful with all of his tips and communication. The place is great, our family loved it, and we can’t wait to stay here again!

As advertised, and more! The views alone are worth it. But lots of little touches throughout the place makes it even more enjoyable. Hot tub at night (or coffee in the morning) is hard to beat. And Betzy was so nice abs proactive with checking and helpful info. We’ve already got it in our heads to come back next year when we come back to town!

We had a beautiful weekend here! The porch, pool and kayaks made the weekend amazing. The house is large and has lots of space! The owners were very responsive and made the weekend perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Place was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The deck and dock area was wonderful. So enjoyed watching the family of geese every morning. Place is just beautiful!

Swan's Nest is cozy and comfortable and located in beautiful surroundings. This was my second stay and I hope to be back next year.

We came to visit family that lived in the surrounding area and we found this listing. My family sounded unsure when I told them that the location was in Decatur -but they couldn't believe it when they saw it. It's really a hidden gem in a great location. Additionally the amenities were all modern and worked well, really felt like home. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space to unwind. Our family played a bunch of board games that we brought but there were some classic games at the Airbnb. It's worth noting everyone in the family that stayed had high praise of the mattresses and bedding, some places are kind of barebones but this one was pretty good and comfortable. Throughout the house there were great labels that were easy to see while still being discreet for finding things such as towels or various cookware, just about any question we could have had was answered just with our basic walkthrough when we arrived.

Great family run resort. Perfect size and very welcoming. It’s quaint and very much has a small town feel. It was perfect for our big group of 9! Nice deck/grill/view of the lake.

We always enjoy our stay at the Legacy cabins at Wildlife Prairie Park. It’s so peaceful and pleasant! Sitting on the patio with coffee in the morning watching the bison, elk and Canadian geese is so relaxing. Loved the park!!!

Our stay was perfect! Alisa was an accommodating host and easy to communicate with. Her place is exactly what is pictured and is as described. My kids loved her DVD collection and we had a great time playing games — we were indoors mostly since the weather wasn’t cooperating for fishing. We felt completely comfortable!

This was our second visit to this lakefront home. Great view, peaceful, clean and comfortable. Mary, the host, is friendly and responds quickly to messages. This is the perfect place for my sister and I to get away from the city and relax. Thanks Mary and Tim!

Nice location just across from the main house, but there is a small patch of woods between them. Clean home with all the necessities, a great host, and a big bonus is they have wood provided for the fire pit.

This is the perfect place to relax! The view is gorgeous and it’s a quiet area. Everything was as it appeared in pictures.

The cabin is beautiful and the location was excellent! Host were super friendly and informative! We will definitely be visiting agian!!! I have recommended to everyone whose asked about it. The experience was truly one of the best we have ever had!

The house was set up with everything a family could want. The beds were comfortable. The 4 outside sitting areas and huge dining table gave everyone room to hang out. Maddy had lots of board games and even a bag game that the kids had room to play in the family room. The grill/smoker was a wonderful surprise, too. We will book again.

My mom and I got to fish, we went to Rockville and ate at the 36 Saloon, and we visited Guion Hill market for some delicious sweet treats. We enjoyed the peace and quiet at this cabin and we will be back!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Lynda's cabin. It's right on Matanzas Beach, minutes from Havana. The pictures don't do it justice! The cabin felt much larger than expected. Lynda has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully stocked kitchen and BBQ grill. The views are gorgeous, and sitting on the deck or by the firepit during sunset is not to be missed. There are some great restaurants / bars in Havana, including Babe's, Stag Tap, Lulu's, and Riverside Grill. And of course Peaches for ice cream. Lynda was very helpful & checked on us to make sure we got in & had everything we needed. I would love to stay at the cabin again!

Michael is a great host! We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. It has a beautiful view of the lake. It was comfortable with lots of amenities. We would go back!

Perfect place for a weekend trip! Very clean and such a cute place, couldn’t have gone any better!! If you are coming in the summer, make sure to bring some bug spray because Central IL bugs can get crazy!

Jeff and Sally's place is so lovely and unbelievably PEACEFUL! We spent most of our time on the beautiful 10 foot deep covered porch taking in the playful songbirds and lake teaming with fish! The sunset over the lake was just beautiful! My husband happily caught lots of fish. We drove down to the river (4-wheel drive required). The beach was large with gravel and surprisingly white sand! Lots of clam shells too. The cabin is cozy - nicely decorated, very new and well built with quality furnishings and supplies (plenty for 2 people). Also remarkably clean and well maintained! Jeff and Sally were so nice! We mostly communicated with Jeff who couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating! Fantastic host! We already can't wait to come back and kayak/float once my elbow heals and I can paddle again! Thanks so much Jeff and Sally. We'll always remember this trip as one of our favorites!

Had a wonderful visit. Th kids loved the room upstairs. Would love to visit in the summer.
