Lake house holiday rentals in Catskill Mountains

We had the BEST TIME at this fantastic Lakeside house in Valatie!  The house itself has 3 good bedrooms – 2 large bedrooms upstairs with a nice bathroom and tub.  The downstairs has the other cute bedroom, another full bathroom,  a good sized kitchen open to a great and large living and dining area. The VIEW from the main room is stunning and was our ‘TV’ for the week.  The lake is just gorgeous!  It has a little dock with kayaks and plenty of nice seating and lounge chairs.  It’s great to have a full grass lawn !  The pups loved the house and the yard and the lake!  The house was super clean and roomy but cozy in it’s feel.  So many great little towns nearby – it was just the perfect house to get away from the city!  The community was chill, even tho it was Memorial Day weekend.  Thanks to Michael who was super responsive (not that we needed anything!) but if we had a question. Etc.  Thank you Michael ! We hope to be back for another visit !!!  

I rented to celebrate my sister’s birthday with our families. The house it was perfect for our three couples and one teen teenager. It had everything you could think of for an amazing stay. We barbecued dinner, made s’mores around the fire pit and spend time on the lake. It was a great time and can’t wait to go back. Marzena was a great host!

I’m so coming back to this ideal location for a getaway. Angela was an excellent host. Beautiful house by the lake.

This was a 12/10 experience! My girlfriend and I both brought out two pups and loved every second of our stay. Every corner we turned was a new decoration in the house that caught our eye, so creative and fun!! Soaked up the back yard, fire pit, and water! We will definitely be returning!!

I want to thank Yanna for a wonderful time at her beautiful lake home. My friends and I stayed for a few days and it was an awesome experience. Simply 100% Beautiful. The beautiful scenery and living accommodations were emasculate. Yanna was very responsive and receptive to our requests and messages. We had an incredible stay at Frank’s place. Rarely do airbnbs exceed our expectations, and this one blew ours away. It was so much nicer than the photos. The lake view, the renovations, everything. We will 100% be back

We had a lovely stay! Stocked kitchen to prepare everything you need to keep you fueled up while enjoying the outdoors. This home has everything the family needs to take full advantage of the lake and the yard. We were pleasantly surprised to be able to play badminton and kick around a soccer ball after kayaking on the lake. And at night the game room is stocked with various games to keep you and your family entertained. So grateful to have spent our long weekend here. Highly recommend.

Such a beautiful house. Way better than the pictures. Tons of space and everyone had a great time. Kids didn’t want to leave!

Lovely space to stay! We stayed for one night to go to a concert at Bethel Woods. It was perfect for a quiet space to return to with a beautiful view.

It was a great weekend getaway with my husband. A charming, clean cabin with a deck that overlooks an open meadow surrounded by woods. The kitchen had pretty much all we needed -- pots and pans, plates and bowls and utensils. My husband thought the pod coffee machine with an ample supply of coffee pods was a welcome bonus. I loved the skylights upstairs but if you plan to sleep in, bring a sleep mask. A short walk down the hill takes you to the fire pit in the middle of the woods. If you plan to build a campfire, best to bring a bundle of firewood with you. One wish list item would be a fire pit closer to the cabin, with a metal grate for cooking over the campfire. The host was responsive and gave clear instructions. Overall a lovely experience.

We had an amazing weekend in the Catskills thanks to The Nest at Swiss. We brought five kids and 5 adults and we had the greatest time. Plenty of room to spread out while also a ton to do. We watched movies, played cards, made pop corn, built fires, smoked meat, went fishing, kayaking, played endless games of manhunt and monopoly. The Nest was set up for everything. We really enjoyed the short walks into Jeffersonville and hanging out on the decks. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect for Memorial Day weekend it did not matter to us. The Nest is also really close to Bethel Woods and we took him to concert on Saturday night super convenient location. The house was fully stocked and had everything we can think of. Great Airbnb, I would highly recommend. I appreciate the flexibility on the check in and check out times. The kitchen was very well stocked as well.

We had a great time at Francois & Ann's oasis by the lake. It was so relaxing to wake up, look at the lake, and listen to birds chirp. If you are looking for isolation, this place does the trick, We didn't see anyone all week on the lake or at the other cabins until the day we left. The lake has excellent fishing. With little effort, we caught several decent-sized bass and pickerel right off the dock. The location is ideal. You feel like you are out in the country, but are close to great restaurants in Kinderhook and only 25 minutes from Hudson or Albany. It's also only an hour from Mass Moca and 90 minutes to Cooperstown. Francois and Ann were very communicative and quickly responded to questions and comments.

This house is an absolute dream. Lucas and Victoria are so communicative and hospitable. They know how to make a home cozy and inviting. The location next to the river and the view of the mountains is just perfect. Even though it was a rainy weekend, we made beautiful meals and just stared out the windows with a warm fire and had everything we could possibly need! I'm so grateful to have experienced this home. Our family had a lovely time at the Creekside Retreat. We arrived to a clean house with clear instructions for entering. Parking was convenient to the front door. We settled in and played scrabble which was provided by the host in the game cabinet. The second day we enjoyed a great breakfast at a local diner and went hiking about 20 miles away at Minnewaska state park. There was also a walking trail much closer we may check out on another trip. There was a park nearby my children walked to play baseball. Our two dogs made themselves at home. The creek was flooded so we weren’t able to enjoy the deck on it or the boat - maybe next time. The hot tub also didn’t work while we were there but we didn’t realize until later in our stay so it may have been a simple solution. The host generously left towels, blankets, and toiletries but we couldn’t find wash cloths. Wood was left out for the fire. Overall, we had what we needed for a great weekend getaway.

We were in awe when we arrived for our family vacation. It truly exceeded our expectations. The home has everything you could possibly need. It’s cozy and welcoming. The property is beyond beautiful .. there is so much to explore you never have to leave. Our lab was in complete heaven. We were so sad to leave but look forward to visiting again. My family and I highly recommend Morgan’s Pond Farm.

What a wonderful place to spend a weekend getaway in the Catskills! The house is very nicely decorated, comfortable, clean, and made us feel right at home. The covered porch is perfect for outdoor dining or just relaxing. The property is private. If you love nature or are a birding, this is the place to stay! Only a short drive to downtown Livingston Manor. Sarah is a wonderful host!

Beautiful house, even nicer than the pictures. The kitchen was especially well stocked. My teenager loved cooking and grilling! We had rainy weather but it didn’t matter-we were happy and comfortable hanging out in the house most of the time! The host was responsive to messages and provided clear instructions. A couple of minor things came up and were addressed promptly. We definitely plan to come again. Thanks so much!!!!

We enjoyed our stay in Liberty! The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the deck and living room fire place. The dock on the lake was so peaceful, we spent hours reading and painting on one of our days at the house. We took the boat out too which was a lot of fun! The beds were very comfortable. Liberty doesn’t have much going on but the surrounding towns have great restaurants (15 min drive). We loved hiking and checking out some nearby breweries. We’d highly recommend checking out the Bethel Woods Arts Center where Woodstock was held, such a cool museum!

After using Airbnb for years now no other place was a perfect 10. The lake house was simply great. Not only the physical status but the follow up and generosity of the hosts where beyond. We didn’t want to leave.

Chandra’s house was comfortable, clean, spacious, and filled to the brim with thoughtful touches (literally — there was a fully stocked spice rack and endless supplies for all your cooking needs! The best part: paper towel refills, which so many other hosts miss). You can tell this is truly a home for the family. Beyond that, the backyard is something to marvel at during sunset. Picturesque falls right as you step outside. I can imagine this place goes to another level during peak fall season. Location made it easy to commute to nearby towns like Kingston, Livingston Manor, etc. My only flag is you have to really watch your step going down the stairs to view the creek. Nothing that impacted our stay though and I highly recommend Chandra’s home whether you’re traveling with a few people or a family. There’s enough space for it all!

This stat was truly unforgettable. The home felt like a true sanctuary - peaceful, spotless, open and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Adele was an amazing host! She went above and beyond, even leaving a thoughtful, personalized note for our anniversary, which meant a lot to us! The views were stunning, the sounds of nature were so calming, and my partner loved fishing at the lake every day. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and connection with nature. This has been my favorite trip so far, and I can’t wait to come back with friends and family to share this little piece of heaven. Highly recommend 10/10!!!
