Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Castello, Venice

We thought the home was fantastic and close to everything we wanted to see. Marina gave great recommendations for food. The home was very clean and quiet and has great amenities.

Beautiful, cozy, and charming place. You feel at home. The hosts are here to help. Dog people are very quiet. They won't come to you unless you want to. They can't get into the house. If you are afraid of dog, they would keep your distance; if you love to play with dog, they would be friends with you.

Despite short-term booking, Pina and her sons were easily accessible and made our stay a pleasant one. The apartment is very clean and well appointed. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment, there are many delicious restaurants and you can easily walk to all the sights of Venice. Check-in and check-out are very straightforward. All in all, we would book the apartment again and again.

The accommodation is perfect for a stay in Venice. It is very well located, very close to the bus station. It is located near a path to the Rialto Bridge with lots of shops and restaurants all along. A small bakery, often crowded with customers, allows you to have breakfast near the accommodation. Lucia sent us all the information for the arrival and departure. Communication was perfect. We would like to stay again in this beautiful, unusual and charming city.

We thank Roberto for his welcome. Very responsive if you have any questions during your stay. The accommodation is very well located, protected and quiet. The transport line for Venice is very close. (Tip: Line 7 to go to Venice and back, or 7E) Remember to take your bus ticket at the airport or train station, for the next day's journey. Pizzeria right next to the accommodation. Our stay at Beatrice’s place was fantastic. The apartment was well-kept, cozy, and ideally located. Beatrice was incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything we needed. Venice was stunning, and having such a comfortable place to return to each day made the experience even better. Would absolutely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Marco's house. It is very pleasant, the private garden is a very appreciable plus, the house is very well maintained, well arranged, and very clean. The neighborhood is much quieter than the more touristy neighborhoods that can be easily reached on foot or by boat. Irene, who was our contact during our stay, was very attentive to our requests and informed us each time with great responsiveness and efficiency. We really enjoyed staying in Venice in this neighborhood and in Marco's house.

The place is immaculate- in pristine condition, very clean. It is a very comfortable apartment with lots of big windows! Very cosy bed to spend peaceful nights. You will feel very safe there. All amenities you will possibly need. The kitchen is really good to cook. A very big bathroom. I love the location so much with wonderful Campo Di Santa Margherita where I was buying fresh bread, flowers, berries and veggies early in the morning observing locals passing by to their studies, work, walking with their dogs, buying newspapers and so on. You can go anywhere from that place or just stay there enjoying Dorsoduro. A lot of absolutely wonderful museums in the area. Ca Rezzonico became my favorite - the collection, the palazzo itself! La Fenice theater is absolutely stunning. I was taking public water transport easily to the other parts of Venice like Giudecca. And a water taxi to the airport. Matteo and Raffaella, very warm people, were so kind to me. I was very happy there. Thank you

Alberto’s apt was in a great location in Venice. So easy to find and very easy to get to. Didn’t have to cross one bridge with suitcases to get there. Everything was as expected in the apt. Overall great stay!!!!!!

We had a great time in Venice. The apartment is close to the tram which makes it easy to get to the center of Venice. All instructions were clear and the host is very responsive to messages. Our arrival was facilitated by the shuttle offered by the host. The apartment is as described I would recommend it

Good site for camping

Had a wonderful stay. The outdoor area is a dream. Here and there something would have to be repaired or replaced and the lake is neither suitable for swimming nor fishing, but the pool made up for all that. Very happy to come back!

We really enjoyed a chilled out week at Luisa’s house. The property itself is exactly as per the photos - modern and sleek design, a lovely swimming pool and wonderful outdoor space (especially for our dog, though to begin with they were very curious of the peacocks and hens in the neighbouring field that you also have access to, which you can view from the windows/fence 🙂). We felt really relaxed and at home there. The walk into town is around 20 minutes, where you can find restaurants, bars (nearest is called Ae Poste 3.0 😉) and a supermarket. Luisa was an accommodating host, only next door if you needed anything, and provided us with some helpful recommendations for the local area and Venice and Treviso for day trips. All in all, we’d have no hesitation to recommend and would love to return!

We had a wonderful time at Adriana's cottage! Both Adriana and Eugenio were very friendly and welcoming. We felt immediately at home! The cottage itself is very roomy and looks exactly like pictured. Everything was very tidy and clean. The garden is gigantic and our dog had a lot of fun exploring and playing here. In the immediate vicinity there is a pizzeria (Surli) that has the best pizza we ever had in our lives! Highly recommended! Anything from Venice to Treviso and Padua is very easy to reach by car and there are a lot of opportunities for day trips. In the immediate surrounding of the house it is however not ideal to go for long walks. There's a road with no walkway and you can't go very far crossing the surrounding fields. That was however the only small downside to an otherwise wonderful vacation with lovely hosts at a wonderful location.

Feel at home and such a friendly host is an amazing combination. We were helped with our itinerary and the local recommendations from here were bonus. We drove by car and her suggestion to better drive and park at the ferry stop instead of relying on bus... well saved a lot time and was comfortable for family. The vicinity to the beach is also great in case you plan for morning/evening walk.

Beautiful place, nice experience living the castle. I have been here the second time and maybe also come back in the future.

Slice of HEAVEN corner unit with views of trees, rooftops, and bell tower. I loved this apartment and didn’t want to leave (so peaceful, bright, and comfortable) but… Venice needed to be explored. The location of the unit is perfect. Very easy walk to everything, around the corner from the Ca Rezonico vaporetto stop. Lu is warm and attentive, and the apartment has everything I needed. I feel very lucky to have found Lu’s place, and if you’re on the fence… book it!

I had a great experience during my stay at Moni’s place and will definitely look at staying again next time I’m in Venice. The process of getting in was straight forward and Luda was very pleasant and patient. Despite language barrier challenges, she was able to provide me with the information needed during my stay. The location was far enough away from any high traffic areas that it was very quiet and peaceful at night but well within walking distance of many shopping and dining options. The apartment was very clean, and Moni was very quick to respond despite the short notice of my booking request. The elevator made it very convenient to get up to the apartment with luggage and the gate leading to the elevator made the place feel very secure. I highly recommend Moni’s place if you are planning a trip to Venice!

Perfect for Biennale!

We booked because another guest's review said "just go for it" and I would offer the same advice to others. We had a great time enjoying coffee & wine on the terrace while watching boat traffic on the Grand Canal. Although there are Vaporetto stops nearby, we walked almost everywhere we went and it was great to explore the neighborhood. For a quiet night in, stop by Fried Land (just around the corner) for excellent take-out pasta.

Beautiful flat, very clean, very calm with window insulation, spacious, 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and an open kitchen/living room, green parc closeby which is rare in Venice, also close to waterfront walk, easy quick access to groceries with Coop nearby, good proximity to waterboat stops, also within walking distance of Doge palace / bridge of sighs etc.

Roberta’s place was perfect! Very close to many attractions and restaurants! Would highly recommend! She was a very great host with descriptive directions :)
