This is the perfect Airbnb for a vacation in the mountains! I have stayed here twice and will be back again! The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Sitting in the hot tub at night is very relaxing and you can see so many stars out. Be sure to explore all of the waterfalls in the area to!

Absolutely stunning views, incredible property and lovely landscaping made this a wonderful stay! The host was so helpful and our entire trip went perfectly!

We searched for a cabin for a long time, and in the end got tired of all the options and just picked this one. From the moment we entered we know we had made a great choice and we ended up booking an extra night. The cabin is supercosy and well organized, the view is amazing. There is one cabin at like 60 meters away or something but when you look out on your deck you feel like you're all alone in the world and it's a wonderful feeling. I can 100% recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful trip! Enjoyed the fire pit and beautiful views from the deck. Our first time to the smoky mountains and we were very pleased with the location and ease of getting to the park. Especially enjoyed the quieter side of the park. Host was very responsive to our questions and things we needed help with. We would definitely stay at their properties again. Cozy bed and everything we needed for the week. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful, peaceful home with spectacular views! We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. It was a perfect place for our family getaway.

Me and my husband searched for the perfect romantic getaway for our late honeymoon/ 1 year anniversary. When we came across Knotty But Nice we were sold! The view was immaculate, pictures do not do justice. The house was extremely clean and cozy. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. Overall peaceful and private! The drive up was pretty scary the first time, I’m definitely glad that we had an SUV! But 10/10 recommend! We are already planning another trip in the fall. Thanks Dana & Trish! 😊

This was a great place and especially clean would definitely recommend for families!

Laura was so helpful, responded immediately to messages throughout the weekend, and made sure we had everything we needed. Power lines on the road were knocked down while we were there but the cabin has a whole house generator with an automatic transfer switch which kept everything in the cabin running as if nothing had happened. Cabin itself is great (just as pictures show) but the lot that it sits on was even better and more beautiful than expected (especially when it’s covered in snow). The Lake house was one of the quietest and most peaceful air b-and-b's we have stayed at. The new back deck is the highlight of the lake cabin. The rest of the cabin is fully equipped and functional, but we hardly left the back deck. With its fenced in area and gate was perfect for the dog. The kayaks and dock are a nice addition. It is located close to good dining at Micas restaurant and Whiteside brewery. We came for the hiking in Panthertown area. We will be back again.

The house is a very cute out in the mountains! The creek in the backyard and the sauna are easily the highlights!

Heather’s place was a little slice of heaven! If you are looking for peace, beauty, and still close to town this is perfect! I felt like I could stay there forever!! It was the perfect place to relax after an AT section hike! Highly recommended!!

We loved it! Charming, cozy and clean. Loved sitting on the porch, watching hummingbirds feed. The whole family enjoyed exploring the beautiful yard. Perfect place!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was very quiet and peaceful there. The view was breathtaking. Enjoyed sitting on the deck. The swing and rocking chairs made it relaxing. This was a quick getaway to celebrate a birthday. Franklin has really neat antique shops. We really enjoyed the Tartan museum and store.

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin last week. We especially loved the back porch- picnic table for outdoor meals and the big swing was awesome! We walked from the cabin to the start of the Cliffside Lake Trail- what a great location!

We all liked the rustic cabin. It was very quaint, comfortable and a great location. The porches are so nice and relaxing. Enjoyed the place with our family very much. Great memories and exercise made on our NC Mountain trips always!.

A very nice place that is a fit for two. Had everything you need with a screened in porch. The driveway is gravel and next to another house that had several cars at it that made it hard to park close to the house. Had a nice little pond with nice views.

Great spot to stay while visiting the area! Calm, clean, and the walk to the waterfall was wonderful. Kitchen had everything needed - including spices! - and the rooms were both great.

Well laid out and stocked cabin, tucked into the woods yet very close to town. We loved it. Perfect for three women staying for a long weekend. Nice gathering spots, indoor and out, and comfy beds.

We loved our vacation on the lake in Tamassee! The location was perfect. We went on 2 beautiful hikes in nearby Nantahala National Forest (highly recommend) and spent lots of time on the beautiful lake jocassee and keowee. The house had everything we needed, was private and peaceful, and we saw lots of wildlife. Tom was very responsive, but we hardly needed to reach out because we had everything we needed.

My husband and I loved our stay. Hung out with our daughter, son in law and grandson on the porch. The bed sleeps very comfortably. Loved that we had rain at night and was lulled to sleep by the rain drops on the tin roof. It’s very peaceful and quiet. We will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family!

This home is a perfect getaway. It is off the beaten path, yet only 8 or 9 minutes from Highlands. It is well equipped for just about all of your needs and then some. The host was very responsive and even reached out to us to see how our first night went. I can’t recommend it enough. The only problem that we encountered was the strength of wifi, which obviously affects your streaming ability. With an AT&T and a Verizon phone, both had no signal while we were there. Beyond that, put your phone down and enjoy what you came to enjoy. You won’t lose all contact with civilization, but I would not recommend it for a business related retreat or a week/weekend where broadband access is crucial. Other than that, It is probably one of the most well furnished and well equipped Airbnb’s I have stayed in. Everything was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. It was a perfect couple of days for our honeymoon, and we are already looking forward to returning. PSA: Driving an SUV or a truck is advisable.

Julie's place never disappoints as this is our 3rd year staying there & already booked for our 4th. Everything is spotless, we feel some comfy & cozy. I love sitting & listening to the wild life & stream in back.

The cabin offered beautiful views and plenty of privacy, yet was conveniently close to both Highlands and Cashiers. We truly enjoyed our stay!
