Beach house holiday rentals in Carlsbad

Loved our staycation at this adorable beach house! Location could not have been better - just a couple blocks from beach access and also super close to restaurants, shops and bars. The house is very cute and was just the right size for our little family of four. The kitchen is well stocked including a French press and keurig. It was also nice having both a front and back yard. Our dog and toddler both thoroughly enjoyed this protected outdoor space. Hosts are also fantastic and were incredibly responsive and generous, including when we embarrassingly locked ourselves out of the house. Highly recommend and would book again!

Staying at Stephanie’s was great for us. The children’s books were a great touch as were the puzzles. The garage was full of toys for the beach, boogie boards and a wagon and sand toys. Everything we needed—plenty of towels. The master bedroom is a dream, quite large and accommodating. All in all we had a great time in prime location for us. Worth the price, don’t hesitate if available!

The place and host are fantastic. Me, my fiancé and dog really enjoyed ourselves. Dan was quick to respond to any questions we had. We would give 6 stars if we could. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

We had a fantastic stay at Clarissa’s place! The location is unbeatable—just a row of houses away from the beach and conveniently close to the Village, restaurants, and Legoland. Clarissa is an incredible host, always responsive and attentive to anything we needed. The home itself is well-equipped with everything you could ask for. We only used one bedroom in the back, and the bed was very comfortable. The long driveway behind a small gate was a huge plus, easily fitting our GMC truck and a smaller SUV. This home is also great for larger groups, with plenty of space to spread out. Highly recommend staying here—we’d love to come back!

We had a wonderful five night staying at Katie' s home. There are so many little touches that you can see the love and care she has taken for you to have a lovely stay. There was nothing we needed that we didn't find....to the point that when we brought so groceries in we purchased spices as we would normally for an air bnb...there was no need a huge selection. We enjoyed the pool and all the amenities. Our family consisted of my husband and myself, so we took one room. Our daughter, son in law and four year old grandson. As well as our other adult daughter. There was more than enough room for all. If you are considering but hesitant on price ...you won't be sorry if you do it. Her entire vibe and little touches make the experience as well. Right down to a turntable and a few great albums. Thanks for a lovely time. PS. take a moment to read her home manual, you will never be sorry, as you are staying in her home.

We loved how close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants, and coffee shops. We also enjoyed bringing our dog who loved the outdoor patio we would definitely stay again. Cute place and very clean.

Vanessa’s place was nothing short of amazing! The location is just unbearable. A walk to the beach/boardwalk, 5 min from Seaworld, 20 min from downtown. Near Mission beach and Pacific beach, surrounded by great restaurants. I could go on and on. It fit my family of 4 plus my mom and stepdad perfectly. We enjoyed the pool during the day and hot tub at night. The house has everything you could possibly want or need. We would absolutely stay there again and plan to!

The unit was well equipped having everything we needed. Owner was helpful and proactive. We didn't have any issues. The community deck over the ocean was fantastic. The beach here is wide enough to never have to worry about low tide or high tide. The unit provides a private stairway to the beach, while it is also a distance to get to for the public, resulting in an amazing beach with no crowds. We would definitely stay here again.

Christine’s place was absolutely perfect for our family getaway! It’s conveniently located right next to Legoland, making it ideal for my niece and nephew. We had a group of 6 adults and 2 kids, and there was more than enough space for everyone to feel comfortable. The pool was a big hit, and we were provided with plenty of towels, toys, and other thoughtful amenities that made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you so much, Christine—we’ll definitely be back!

Great experience from booking through to departure. The rental is as good as the pictures with great ocean views and stunning sunsets. The house was very clean and tidy, has all the amenities you need (including an entertainment system) whilst respecting the open plan, minimalistic feel. Drift Vacation Homes are very easy to work with. Communication was excellent, they offer clear instructions and are very responsive. We were afforded a late checkout ($50), this made our last day more enjoyable before heading to the airport. The overall price is in keeping with other rentals in this area, in my opinion you definitely get what you pay for. We would, without hesitation, book a rental through Drift Vacation Homes in the future.

We stayed at Pete's place because it has a gorgeous pool (the pool slide was a huge hit), is close to Del Mar racetrack, and is close to the beach/ocean (you can see the ocean from the front yard). We took our two Bichons and felt safe and secure letting them out. We have family in San Diego and had a small family cook out on Sunday. The grill was awesome, and there are lots of fun things to do on the property, front and back yards. We didn't take advantage of the jacuzzi, but it was already heated up. Since the house doesn't have air conditioning, there were fans in the family room and bedroom. Large kitchen, so you can cook and bake if you don't want to eat out all the time. The house is single story, but outside there are lots of levels where you have to go up and down some single steps,so small children would need help and elderly or disabled folks may need help, too. Pete gave great directions about how to access the main entrance, and the self check-in security code.

This place was better than we were expecting. Perfect spot over the beach. Watching sunsets, sealions, dolphins and birds right from the patio. The patios are fairly private concidering your beside each other. This unit is nice because you can see all the way up the beach. We usually stay away from condos due to noise from other people but this condo was quiet, even though we had people above and beside we barely heard anyone due to the concrete floors. Nice pool, and hot tub. We didn't really use the tennis or basketball courts. Everything inside and outside was clean and well kept. Best thing was the view, 2nd best thing was this unit is actually a well stocked air bnb. There was plenty of dishes, kitchen ware, uten toiletries, soap etc Easy 4min walk to beach and 6min walk to restaurants, coffee shops etc. And the beach and neighborhood seem fairly classy and family friendly. Wyatt was very fast to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay again

My family had a wonderful stay at Jon’s house! The location is close to everything but also quiet and peaceful. We all enjoyed the beautiful pool and beds were very comfy, not to mention a beautiful kitchen to cook in. We didn’t want to leave!

Rarely do we ever return to a place we've stayed at before because we just want to make new memories and be open to new things. This place has been the exception, we couldn't wait to come back! We stayed at the Blue Ocean Cottage in May of 2024 and had such a great time that we did it again May of 2025! The proximity to the beach, the village and the quiet neighborhood can't be beat. This has been the perfect place for our family to spend time together, making dinner and playing games. Beach is so close, it's easy to pop over anytime. Grandparents (my wife and I) loved the cottage out back where we could have some quiet time to ourselves. The kids (twenty somethings) and grandchild equally enjoyed have their "own" space in the main house. Property is only 15 minutes from Oceanside harbor where we went on a whale/dolphin watch, which I can't recommend enough. It's about 10 minute drive to Legoland with traffic. Wonderful family memories at the Blue Ocean Cottage!

The place was gorgeous & right across from the beach! You could open the sliding glass door and smell the sea air, hear the waves crashing, watch the surfers! I didn’t realize it’s only about an 8 minute walk directly north up the street to downtown Carlsbad Village. Very walkable! We walked to town for coffee, ate at restaurants, got spa treatments, and shopped! Carlsbad is a great little town! The back patio is lovely: we made s’mores over the tabletop fire and relaxed in the hot tub at night. The beds were soft & comfy. The bathrooms were nice & clean. Rain shower heads! Plenty of towels. Shampoo, conditioner & shower gel available. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed & had 2 fridges. I can’t say enough about how much we liked our stay.

I recently stayed at this beach house, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the stunning ocean views. The house itself was immaculate, nicely decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could possibly need. I especially loved the deck where my family and I enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The bedrooms were also cozy and comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like coffee, snacks, and beach towels provided for our use. Casago management is also very responsive!

This is our second time staying at this place. We will keep coming back! Very clean and in a quiet, private location on a quiet street. Beach is not very far away, and I love that I can actually park in the garage. The place is brand new and beautiful inside and the grand piano is a nice touch. Would recommend to anyone.

Such an amazing place to stay for a family vacation!!! The house was very clean with beautiful esthetic inside and out!! Easy access to the beach, shops, and food!!!!! Overall the best vacation our family has had!!! Hope to return next year for some more fun!

Karl’s Airbnb is a home away from home in a beautiful, safe, quiet neighborhood!! We loved our stay here, from the decor, to the amenities and suggestions for restaurants and attractions, to the easy access to the beach and nearby gliderport, we had an amazing time! Karl is also very friendly and always responsive, which we appreciated. He sent thorough instructions beforehand to ensure we found the location, and everything was very easy to access. It’s just out of the way enough to be quiet, but places like San Diego, Coronado, and Encinitas are closeby for exploring! If you’re looking for a beautiful stay in a convenient location, this is it! Dan and Britt's listing was a beautifully furnished and an extremely clean and relaxing house with an ocean view! Their home was fully loaded with house amenities, including a completely stocked kitchen! They were very easy to communicate with and they made the stay by the ocean so relaxing, with their various board games provided, as well as puzzles! The highlight of our trip was sitting by the fire pit on the deck and drinking tea and hot coco, while talking and laughing for some great family time! This house has a great family room to enjoy everyones company, and it was the perfect size for three families! Thank you so much for Dan and Britt for a great stay!
