Beautiful stay, the cottage was incredibly clean and well presented, the bathroom was gorgeous, and the hot tub was excellent. Fab location and great little walk down to the river at the back. 10/10

Staying at this cottage was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm, welcoming, and wonderfully familiar—like a home away from home. The inside was cosy and beautifully kept, with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was well-equipped for making hearty meals, the living area was perfect for curling up with a book or enjoying a quiet evening, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Every corner of the cottage had charm and warmth that made it easy to relax. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Blimey, we loved this. I am tempted to tell everyone about it but we want it all to ourselves! We had such a holiday, great kitchen, big open central space, luxury beds, amazing showers, fabulous decking area with massive window / door, hot tub, the indoor barbeque (which we called the pudding hut, we want one!), the outdoor fire, the walks, the ease of getting into Alston. Struggling to find anything to fault, maybe only the sound travelling between the lounge and bedrooms. Just recommend earplugs and going to bed at the same time!

Perfect stay for our group of friends. Communication was great, and we had everything we needed. We were really happy with the accommodation (and the bbq and hot tub!). Great spot to venture into the Lake District, and very easy to get to. Thank you!

Booked for family birthday celebration. Lovely location, lots of space for us all. Hot tub was wonderful, which we all enjoyed. Was very well equipped, with everything we needed for a brilliant weekend. Bathrobes for everyone was a nice touch. Would defiantly recommend.

Harriet is so welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in her stunning barns. Everything is finished to a very high spec and the spacious bedrooms and en-suites are wonderful. The farm and countryside setting is beautiful. We were sorry to leave!

Thank you Lisa and Mark for a lovely stay to attend The Lakesman triathlon. Being walking distance into Keswick proper, but slightly out of the ‘hubbub’ of the town was ideal for us. Your responsiveness and proactivity on communication made the weekend for us. Thank you again 💚🙏🏽

What a nice place to stay, The Windy Nook Chalet was spacious, had everything we needed, a view out over the fields, outdoor space, and didnt feel like anyone was around us, cant have asked for more, brilliant.

Absolutely stunning cottage in extremely remote location. We had such a great week staying at The Bothy. Stephen and Dawn are very welcoming and relaxed hosts who are offering a truly unique stay in the forest. The cottage is extremely remote, but there is plenty to do in the area, including - cycling, walking and some great restaurants. We would love to come back.

On the outside it looks like your average home but when you go inside its perfect, very spacious and the photos were beautiful and they even provided us with some biscuits to enjoy with a cuppa in the morning, which we has outside in the back garden enjoying the sun and sounds of sheep😊 absolutely lovely! and the shower is top notch, very good shower! 😂 beds were comfy and so was the sofas! thank you for letting us stay :))

Thank you for a wonderful stay in Ambleside. The ongoing updates and instructions were really appreciated and a great help. You couldn't get a more central base and even though slightly noisy later on in the evening the music stopped as if instructed to do so. Well worth the visit and hopefully sooner rather than later we'll return for another vist.

Had a great stay here. The house is big and comfortable with plenty of space. It’s in a quiet, peaceful spot, which was perfect for getting away. The grounds are nice with a river nearby and lots of open space. There are some good walks around the area too. Beds were comfy and the place had everything we needed. It was also easy to get food delivered from the local Sainsbury’s. Overall, just a really nice, easy stay.

Perfect place to run away from everything and relax. Cabin was clean and spacious. Would like to come back one day.

A uniquely characterful location, in the foot of the beauty of the northern lakes, over looking Blencathra in the distance. Easy to find and well connected to Penrith for amenities and onward access to the whole of the Lake District. We enjoyed a peaceful, quiet location for our little family and this cortage was warm, comfortable (particularly the beds!) and with everything we needed to self cater. The Wi-Fi was an essential tool as the area is lacking in mobile connectivity. We were able to he given early access by our hostess and they kindly communicated this. We also were met on arrival by our friendly co-host Paul. The kind gift of a lovely bottle of white wine in the fridge also made us smile. Overall, it was a delightful stay and I wholly recommended to all that people come visit the Dairy Cottage at Fort Putnam!

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

A lovely property in a great location. The house is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and lovely bedroom. It is an ideal base for exploring this area of Northumberland, which is very attractive.(We were walking the northern stages of the Pennine Way.)

We had a great stay at Whitbarrow. We have visited the resort before on many occasions. We had some minor issues in the accommodation which were swiftly resolved by Seasons staff. Kal and Anita were great to communicate with leading up to and during the stay also. Very responsive and helpful. Good facilities onsite too and helpful staff. Thank you

Really enjoyed our stay, we were celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday and had other family members staying in other lodges around the park. Beautiful scenery and great location. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

Great lovely little cottage that was very homely and a great place to relax after exploring the lakes! The village of elterwater is lovely and peaceful and so much to do you could nearly get away without going off on the car anywhere as there is a regular bus service that runs every hour! We all said we would defiantly stay again if we was to come to the Lake District as this place had every thing you needed! We would def recommend 👍👍 Thanks for a lovely stay

Raphaela and Steve were very helpful and pleasant. They encouraged us to let them know when we needed something. The cottage has a great bathroom and well-appointed kitchen and is very comfortable. We enjoyed the farm-like atmosphere—it’s so peaceful yet so close to amenities. And the grazing cows standing in the road to town were easily nudged with minimal mooing. We loved it!
