Holiday rentals with lake access in Carleton County

The home went above and beyond my expectations! From the moment you walk in, there’s lots of pieces with funny quotes around the house that give you a good chuckle and make the place more inviting. There were kayaks available, life jackets, and even a wet suit! There were board games and a room with a double monitor taking our gaming experience over the top. A fire pit right by the water making it a the perfect place to lay and look at the stars. The host was very friendly and extremely responsive, I would definitely book again! Our time at Small Wonder was nothing short of magical. This was a 25+ year trip in the making to Maine and we were so please. Traci has a beautiful camp that has all the amenities of home and beyond. It was well stocked with all that we needed and more and the property was better than any photo shown. We enjoyed the remoteness and the sense of a community within the area and would love to spend more time here and at East Grand Lake in the future. Thank you from our family to yours! Myself and my wife from Dublin, Ireland along with our adult daughter living in Melbourne , Australia spent 3 nights in Rob's cottage beside a lake in Lakeville Corner, New Brunswick, Canada. The cottage and surrounding area were exactly as described by Rob in his listing and for us it was the perfect location as we availed of the 2 kayaks provided via the property frontage straight onto the water. We also availed of the 2 bikes which we used along with a further bike hired in Fredericton( an easy 30 min drive away from Rob's cottage)on that town's network of off-road cycletracks alongside and near the St John's River. We also took a car ride to Fundy National Park visiting Alma and several stop off points for hikes etc. Rob's communication was excellent in all respects. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend Rob's cottage in all respects including in terms of location, cleanliness and facilties provided.

The house is very beautiful and easily accommodated 10 guests. The lake front view and dock was outstanding. Dwayne was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay.

This was our third time at the house and we were so glad to be back. The JetBlue flight arrives late and it was really nice to stay in a house we now know so well. We came this time to see the leaves and the view out the back across Lake Echo was spectacular. Thanks Tammy. Hope to be back up there next summer

The peace and tranquility overlooking the river while relaxing in the hot tub was amazing! We're so happy we chose to stay out of town to enjoy the countryside.

We had a great weekend at Peter’s place. It was a family celebration and this was a lovely place to have it. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and all were very complimentary of the house and surroundings. I definitely recommend a stay here.

Kelley and Norm made us feel right at home. Their place is located on a wonderful lake, was very clean, and well appointed. A wonderful spot!

We had a great time at Tina’s place. Her hospitality is above and beyond. There were many thoughtful touches everywhere you look. Comfy bed and soft pillows. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and private as well as spacious. Perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring. Can’t wait to return. Thank you Tina for sharing your gem by the lake side!

April's place was so clean and was even better than the pictures. The house was so well stocked with everything you would need including excellent pots and pans. The welcome bag of local coffee and candy jar was a lovely touch. I will definitely book again

ご縁あって急遽Cindyさんのところにお世話になりました。毎朝の川の景色がとても楽しみに起きていました。刻々と変化する景色にうっとり。 建物の設備なども十分で、キッチンも大いに使用させていただきました。 ベッドルームも寝心地もとてもよかったです。私達の毎日の目的はフレデリクトンにあったのですが、少し距離があったとしても、Cindyさんご夫妻に出会うことができ、滞在したことはかけがえのない思い出となりました。 またぜひ伺いたいです！ ありがとうございました。

Deborah’s “Shack” was far from the true definition of “shack”! It was a beautiful place- perfect for our stay. There was some confusion on my end about the method of payment and she was very responsive about that. Most of all was her warmth & friendliness which has resulted in a new friend! Finally, I left an important article behind and when I sent her a 9-1-1 type of text she responded immediately and sent the article via priority mail to me. I begged to reimburse her for the cost but she refused. Another great surprise is we had people connections in common in the area. All in all our stay was marvelous and Deborah was an unparalleled host!! 🥰

We loved our weekend getaway at Alynn’s cottage! Their cottage is exactly as pictured, with a great lakeside view and a very nice rocky beach to have fires and relax! The screened in entertaining area is great if there happens to be rain so you can still enjoy the outside! The highlight for our group was definitely the large bay window with a beautiful view of the lake!

Would definitely stay here again! It was way better then I imagined. Loved waking up and sitting out in the porch in front of the water, and the water was warm! Easy access for kayaks and the house was cozy. We felt at home and didn't want to leave!

Very peaceful and relaxing. Loved that it was right on the lake! Great place to unwind and unplug.

It was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th birthday weekend with a few friends! Right from the start we were made to feel welcome with a welcome basket with everything we needed for smores including fire starters and sticks in addition to nice handwritten note. We all loved the cottage inside with more than enough room for both kids and adults to relax or play games, sleep and eat supper. Outside was also great with the bbq, fire pit, propane fire table, especially at night with the amazing stars!), yard games and of course the beautiful lake especially with the leaves at this time of year! We enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and a little swimming repeatedly including the last morning after the hosts graciously allowed us to check out a couple hour later! We, especially the kids, also enjoyed the visits from a very friendly pug the hosts had told us would likely drop by. All in all I highly recommend staying at Shore Thing Cottage! We will definitely consider coming back!
