We had a great time at Anja's place! Located in a former monastery, restored with an incredible amount of love and a sense of detail. The combination of historical charm and modern comfort is really successful – you can feel the history of the place without having to sacrifice amenities. The quiet location is also particularly beautiful: Although the grounds are easily accessible, you can hear absolutely nothing from the street. You are in the middle of nature, overlooking the hills, and yet quickly in Lucca or other excursion destinations. For our two small children it was ideal – plenty of space to play, a fenced garden and numerous opportunities to discover. Anja is a wonderful host: warm, open and with lots of great tips. Not only does she know the region well, but she also has exciting stories about the old monastery. We felt completely comfortable and can highly recommend the accommodation!

A truly wonderful place to stay. The only sounds you’ll hear is the singing of the birds. Extremely clean and stocked with everything you will need. The property is beautiful and the pool is a fantastic way to end your day of exploring. We highly recommend. We know you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful place. Clotilde is friendly and helpful. Tranquil large garden and fantastic pool. Great for kids, our one year old loved running around in the grass. Excellent kitchen for cooking at home. Location is very convenient to Lucca and some charming small towns. The Esselunga in Pescia (10 min drive) is one of the best supermarkets I’ve ever seen.

How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful this apartment on the hillside is. The apartment itself is nice and cosy and spacious, and the kitchen contains a little bottle of olive oil produced from their own olives. But it is the location, the gardens and the little farm and the view across the valley which can take your breath away. Sonia is happy and welcoming and patient. She showed us around the wine and olive farm and was always approachable when we contacted her. There are two guest apartments side by side, but it is quite private nonetheless. Note that you can hear sounds from the other apartment quite easily. I cannot recommend this enough! Would love to come back.

Villa Pergolone lives up to the high expectations set by the listing. The house is gorgeous, the surroundings even more so. The host and caretaker are very responsive and fond of the place, this shows in everything. Insanely highly recommended!

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful Airbnb which was thoughtfully restored to reflect the history of the area. You won’t want to leave. We explored Certaldo Alto and Montefioralle- both amazing sites. The pool area was perfection and we couldn’t get enough of the landscape! Couldn’t stayed a week!!!

From the moment we were greeted by Isabella, Massimo and their son, to the moment we said goodbye we felt right at home. The house is well located. It was nice to leave the hustle of the old city and retreat to the expansive peaceful terrace of the house for an “aperitivo” before dinner. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well after long days of touring. One of our favorite things was collecting water from the town spring, which was just a few doors away.

We loved staying in Carolina’s house in Montecatini Alto. It was a lovely welcoming place to wake up in and return to at the end of the day. The view from the windows and the patio is extraordinary and sitting out enjoying it was one of the best parts of the holiday. The house had all we needed. Carolina was a wonderful host; friendly, quick to reply and extremely helpful. The village is a lovely quiet place to stay and we wouldn’t look anywhere else if we return to the area.

We had a great week with Giovanna and Antonio. They are both very nice, helpful and always available for questions. The house is exactly as in the pictures, very cozy and we felt comfortable right away. The shared garden is beautiful and the pool is great to cool off on a hot day. Lucca is about 10 minutes away by car and Pisa and Florence are also easy to reach. We 100% recommend the place. Thanks for the great time :-)

Annalisa and her family are wonderful people, they immediately welcomed us with extreme kindness. The house has exceeded all expectations in both size and meticulous cleanliness. The garden was a plus that was highly appreciated by our children. If there is an opportunity to return to the area, we will definitely stay here again! Thanks again for everything!!

The perfect location for recharging the batteries and enjoying Tuscany! The house is located in a peaceful village with a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains and is great for visiting the main cities like Lucca, Pisa and Florence. It is also not far from the seaside, which was great to escape from the heat. The whole family felt right away at home and we really enjoyed our week in Tuscany. Thank you so much for having us!

Staying here was a dream come true! The view is breathtaking and the home is beautifully decorated in a cozy eclectic style while maintaining the rustic beauty of the structure itself and honoring it’s history. I will never forget this experience—ideal to visit with friends! It is located up a steep hillside and well worth the adventure to get there. Varinia literally thought of and provided every detail a guest would need. I would love to return one day!

This is one of the most beautiful spots on this planet! The house is in tiny hillside village with a breathtaking view. It is very well located between Lucca and Pisa, which allowed us to explore the Tuscan countryside. The kitchen is quite spacious and each morning we ate outside looking over the hills. We feel grateful for our sweet time at Francesca's place. Everything was perfect. Francesca is lovely and helpful. I will definitely come back - and hopefully in the near future. We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Bryan and Sara! Reaching the accommodation requires a short hike, but you’re rewarded with stunning views – and the luggage is conveniently brought up by a small tractor. From the very beginning, everything was perfect. The house, garden, and pool are absolutely beautiful – a true little paradise. Everything was clean and lovingly maintained. Bryan and Sara are incredibly warm and welcoming hosts who do everything they can to make your stay special. Since we arrived late, Sara kindly offered to prepare a lovely dinner for us, and Bryan gave us a little pizza-making class – such a great experience! Their helpfulness and kindness, combined with the magical charm of the accommodation, made our stay truly unique and unforgettable. Thanks a lot :)

Wonderful place to either lay back and enjoy the picturesque-postcard view from the comfort of your front yard or the pool (which was refreshingly cool in June), or to go further explore Tuscany locations within reach. The house was beautiful, clean and equipped with everything you could ask for, ie a quiet and air conditioned bedroom, kitchen with a gas stove, fridge and a wood fired bbq and a jacuzzi + comfy seating outside. Shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance, max 10 minutes. Andrea is a fantastic host who clearly cares about providing the best possible stay for her guests, which she did. Whenever we return to Tuscany, we will definitely make sure to stay here at Palaia again.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sandro and his lovely wife once again for the warm welcome! We had a wonderful time in her house! The owners are very, very friendly and were flexible, despite our last-minute booking. We were greeted and bid farewell in person. The two are great landlords! I have 3 large dogs (2 Weimaraners, 1 livestock guardian dog) and it was absolutely no problem to bring them. Of course, my dogs are also well-behaved :) but in the past I often had to experience that other landlords only accept 1 dog or small dogs - here it was absolutely no problem and no prejudice, as often happens to me! I can absolutely recommend this accommodation!!!! The house is very clean & beautifully furnished. Thank you very much :) we will come back!

Everything was as expected and better. Lovely home with air conditioning downstairs and in both upstairs bedrooms. Beautiful garden in the back and shared swimming pool very close by.

Valentina's house in Montecarlo is very secluded and very quiet and private. We enjoyed the time. It offers optimal connection to many places in the north of Tuscany and is great to find. The front area around the house is fenced and easy to use with a dog (the gate may be too wide for very small dogs). The back area with the pool is fenced, but dogs come under the fence, as the fence only starts at about 20 cm height. There is also an open fence area from the front to the back. For more active dog owners, therefore, it is not optimal, as you have to keep an eye on the dog. Otherwise, it is a wonderful, small, classic Tuscan house and super suitable in warm spring/summer, as the house also stays nice and cold.
