“We truly enjoyed our stay at the Erie Canal House! Here's what we loved: The kitchen was clean, stocked with coffee/cream/sugar and basics for cooking. The rooms were nice sized, well furnished, very comfortable. The front porch was our absolute favorite spot. It had its own heating element so we got to enjoy coffee on the porch despite the chilly weather. The history - oh my! Even if you are not a history buff, you will enjoy learning about Canajoharie, aka Flavor Town, and the history of the house itself. You will never know by how spacious, clean and modern that it was once an old mule barn. You can learn all about it's history and renovation in the photo album provided. The host - John was a very good communicator, and we even got the pleasure of meeting him when we arrived. The location - we loved rolling out of the house on our bikes and immediately hitting the Erie Canal Trail.”
Our Moose Lodge is a four season rustic cabin (tiny house) located on our Mohawk River waterfront property. This cozy warm cabin was built using on site and local timber as well as reclaimed lumber. Includes full kitchen, full bath and loft with two full beds. First floor has a small couch that can be pulled out to accommodate more guests if needed. Smart TV sits above the large gas fireplace. Internet included as well as local channels. Feel free to use the BBQ grill on the front porch.
“This little cabin was everything you need for a relaxing weekend getaway. The space itself is lovely, and stocked with any essentials you might need. Chris was very responsive, went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable--it had snowed about a foot before I arrived, and Chris made sure to plow the driveway for me and had a fire going so the place was warm and toasty when I got in. Highly recommend Little Moose Cabin, and hope to be back.”
Year round indoor pool house that is 2000 square feet located in the lower adirondacks. There are several outdoor activities to do in the area...fishing, boating, kayaking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing & restaurants. Check out my guidebook with things to do in and around the area including near by lakes and restaurants on the lakes. Spend the day exploring and then come back to relax in the warmth of your very own private pool, sit by a fire on the patio or start the grill.
“My husband and I just stayed at this property and we could write a whole book on how much we loved it! A++/5 Stars/2 thumbs way up! Chantale and Toni have done an absolutely wonderful job. They were so communicative and available and made all the instructions crystal clear and easy to follow. The cleanliness of the AirBnB was remarkable. They very clearly are taking every precaution possible with the COVID-19 pandemic, which we appreciate greatly. This house is just gorgeous. From the wood paneling, to the flooring, to the overall decor and furniture choices! And of course, the pool! But this property is WAY MORE than just the pool. It would have been so easy to just mail it in and coast on the novelty of having an indoor pool house, but they haven’t done that. They have went way above and beyond to make a stay with them feel really special. It’s so cozy and charming. Perfect for a couple but also more than roomy and accommodating for four or five! I have a lot to say in this review, so I’ll try to keep it as short as I can! The pool- The pool is the perfect size, depth, smell, and temperature. No possible complaints at all about it. It really does take only just a minute to cover or uncover the pool so it’s easy to hop in and out and do other things before going back to swimming/floating. The kitchen- We brought a cooler full of groceries to make meals and this kitchen was perfect for it. They have it fully stocked with all sorts of dishes, bowls, cups, mugs, pans, cookie sheets, condiments, seasoning, utensils, an air fryer, a blender, a microwave, a keurig, a full size stove and fridge/freezer. And there’s a grill! They even provided s’mores kits and some bottled waters! It’s one of their many small, thoughtful little touches! The table in the center and the vintage furniture seating are lovely and comfy. The bathroom- beautifully designed with an awesome rain fall/jetted shower. The smell of the well water was jarring for a non-country boy like myself but they were completely upfront about that in the listing and it’s not bad at all to get use to. I could have done with more water pressure, but again I know that’s limited with the well water. Having a washer and dryer is a big, big bonus too! The loft- the king size bed is super comfy if you like a soft bed. We didn’t sleep on the futon at all but it was very comfortable and roomy to sit on. Having a TV up there as well was a nice addition while we drifted off towards sleep. And thankfully there’s a wall unit AC up there and fans. We were very comfortable all around. Our only real concern with the property was the spiral staircase. It’s not very chubby guy or suitcase friendly haha. But as long as you go up and down with careful consideration, it’s fine. The living area- chantale and Toni have maximized the living area around the pool perfectly! The sectional couch is super comfortable and the TV is massive. We loved how it fully swiveled too. We appreciate the decorating choices they made to surround the pool- one section of plants, an exercise bike, an antique school desk, pool floats and a volleyball net, and our favorite- a Stormtrooper and Chewbacca statue! The outside space- Like I said before, this property is so much more than just the pool! There’s a lot to do outside- grill and eat dinner on the patio. Or sit around the fire pit (they provided the wood and s’mores!), or play corn hole, soccer, or volleyball in the yard! The porch wraps around 3/4th of the house so you can get fresh sun on both sides during the day, while chilling on rocking chairs. It’s still under construction outside and we look forward to seeing how it continues to evolve! A screened in, covered section would be a nice addition! The area- you’re going to this property for the pool and relaxation so don’t worry too much about what’s around to do off the property. Saratoga Springs and Albany are within the hour, otherwise there isn’t much besides hiking and lakeside dining. But again, who cares? You’ll want to spend 95% of your time at the pool house, like we did. Conclusion- don’t even hesitate or question it, just go ahead and book your stay here now! Within 5 minutes of posting pics and a summary of our stay on Facebook, we legit had 5 different people ask us for the link and one friend immediately booked 4 days in September haha. My husband and I are already looking to go back as soon as October!”
