Holiday rentals with a patio in Calheta

Comfortable and very clean apartment with parking. Well located to visit Madeira, especially the western part (we did not change accommodation to visit the eastern part). Thank you for the delicious chocolate cake, fruit and eggs that were waiting for us when we arrived. Good value for money. One small downside, perhaps think of blackout curtains for the bedrooms.

Beautiful patio overlooking the ocean with sunshine in the morning and the afternoon. Convenient place to stay if you have rented a car! Would definitely recommend!

Just amazing accommodation! Same as in the photos! Very quiet and peaceful. Really very nice host. It is located in a small village about 30 minutes from Funchal and close to everything by car. The place is wonderful for resting. We'll be back.

The stay at this apartment was just perfect! Communication with Christine was smooth and fast. She was extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment itself is a dream – modern, stylishly furnished and very clean. We were particularly impressed by the spacious terrace, which invites you to relax. The interior is lovingly selected and it lacks nothing. We felt comfortable right from the start and would definitely be happy to come back. Thank you for the great hospitality!

We felt right at home for a good 2 weeks at Maria José’s place during our vacation. The place was as described, very clean, spacious and our Host Catarina was so kind and responsive! It was a very safe and beautuiful place to stay at for a few weeks, especially with young children. The appartment is very well located on the island with lots to do around. Strongly recommend if you’re staying in Madeira! ☀️

We stayed at Elizabeth's place for our honeymoon. We really appreciated Elizabeth's attentiveness. The unit is very well equipped and convenient. The bathroom is very large and hanging your laundry right in front of it is very pleasant. The view from the terrace is very nice. Elizabeth responds very quickly. We would love to stay there again. Claudia is a very accommodating host. She is very helpful and friendly. The apartment is as described and has everything it needs and a nice outdoor area. I personally was a bit cold as the May weather didn't quite do what it should, but a portable fan heater and a thick woolen blanket that was also on site did the trick. The apartment is not super soundproof which means that you sometimes here the other guests, which didn't bother me personally. As already described in other reviews, the entrance to the parking lot is very steep, but really doable and no worse than other roads on the island. I had a good time and can recommend it with a clear conscience. :)

Marina was super attentive and nice the whole trip. She even stayed until late to welcome us as our flight landed very late. We even got lost and she helped us very patiently. The space was super cleaned, and it looks it was just renovated, very nice little apartment. It has everything you need. It’s a bit far from Funchal but it’s worth the travel. It has free parking inside. We loved our stay there!

Clean. Cute decor. Epic view. Provided sufficient towels, kitchen spices, oil and vinegar. Hot water was abundant. No window coverings. Bring eye mask. Lumpy and sloped mattress in main bedroom. Could be a quite a walk from parking especially in high season as you have to park further and further. No toaster. Oven works, it just takes a lot longer. Lighting is a mixed bag. Some stark blue fluorescent, some warm. Poor lighting in bathrooms. Lots of little flies that swarm in a circle inside if you have the doors open. No fans.

We had a great week! Location is incredible looking out over the ocean. We loved the outdoor space and the big kitchen/living room area. Communication with Kevin was easy. We'd definitely come back!

Very well decorated accommodation corresponding to the photos. The hosts are extremely responsive and caring. If you have a comment, you can be sure that they will do their best to resolve it. Small downside on the kennel which is certainly on the other side of the valley because the dogs bark. But this remains occasional, about 3-4 times a day for 10 minutes, it is not continuous (at feeding time?). There are also a lot of bugs that come every day (centipedes and we had a few cockroaches). The apartment was however very clean when we arrived. I think they get in because there is a gap between the doors and the floor. A seal might help. But it's easy to put outside with a squeegee and it's the countryside, so it's understandable. Apart from these minor issues, we loved our accommodation and recommend it, hence the 5 stars!

Lovely home with a beautiful view. House was well equipped.

The stay was amazing, Jose was very cooperative and helped when we needed things to be fixed or done. He helped us check in very smoothly despite our flight being delayed. He is an amazing host, and the house is incredible.

A nice unique place that incorporates the cliff side. Clean and well equipped. Parking is on the road below, about 35 steps up to the house. You can see the highway from the deck. There is some road noise but not bothersome. The path to the beach was closed.

This place exceeded all expectations. The apartment was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos—if not better. The location was great, with easy access to everything I needed, but still peaceful and quiet. The host was welcoming, responsive, and made check-in super easy. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. It felt like a true home away from home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We had a great time in this apartment! It is comfortable, well-equipped, very clean and offers a very nice view, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. The location is ideal, especially for the end of a stay, as it is close to the airport. We can actually hear the planes passing by, but it didn't bother us at all: there are no flights at night, so the nights are quiet. The welcome was warm and the communication with the host perfect. We recommend it without hesitation!

Leonardo let us check in early. Beautiful clean environment right next to the water. He provided a clear and quick video to watch for instructions. Parking is a little complicated but your car is safe in a garage which is nice. Definitely recommend.

Serene sea side getaway with beautiful ocean views and plenty of food options nearby. If you want to explore the Western side of the island this is the perfect spot to serve as a launchpad for said adventures. Amazingly comfortable bed and stunning place to catch the sunset. Two thumbs up!

Very nice apartment with stunning view. Close supermarket to buy everything we needed. Parking in underground garage. Cookies and bananas as a welcome gift were very great.

Great location and views. Plane and street noise did not disturb us as we kept bedroom windows closed. Everything you need to cook. WiFi can be a little spotty. I would stay there again.

Vasco was a wonderful host. Our only contact was really checkin and checkout process as we had no issues during our entire month stay. The apartment was clean with a well equipped kitchen and is as photographed. We booked this apartment because of the view which really is exceptional! Added benefit of seeing port so we always knew when cruise ships were docked so we could plan accordingly. Location provides easy access to highway in either direction. Comfortable walk to old town but return by bus is recommended. Rental car to tour the rest of the island is also recommended. You do need to be skilled driver as narrow hill roads are no joke. We walked to local Padaria Pastelaria Mariazinha for coffee and pastries. Highly recommend for digital nomads/long term stay. Very quiet neighborhood and always felt safe. We brought earplugs because of previous dog barking comments but never used them. Recommend if you want authentic experience. Had a great stay.

Great apartment within walking distance to the center of Funchal. Exactly like the pictures and the terrace is really amazing! Very quiet neighbourhood to stay, even with the ongoing construction sites nearby. Parking space is a real plus as well.
