This is the perfect place if you're looking for a pleasant, semi rural location for a medium short or even a long stay. Alieh is the perfect host and the flat itself has everything you need. We were 2 Brits coming to OZ for a year and needed somewhere to stay for a month while finding out feet. This worked beautifully for us. The location is slightly out of the way which for us was fine as we could come back to our haven after job hunting and football training. Alieh was brilliant to deal with and took us under her wing. Tash was a most wonderful host. The place was so neat and clean and amply stocked for what was a most comfortable stay. Tash was responsive, helpful and always available. We had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Matt’s beautiful cottage near the Yarra Valley. Even though it was raining during our visit, the stunning views from the cottage more than made up for it — it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cottage was cosy, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay — a clean bathroom, washer and dryer, Netflix, and even a Nespresso machine for our morning coffee. Sarah was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special highlight for my son was getting to meet their adorable family pony, Little Penny — such a sweet touch that made our stay even more memorable. We truly appreciated the tranquility of the surroundings and would highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Thank you for the lovely stay!

This was our second stay with Ben and Murray. The location is amazing, the apartment is clean, and quiet, even though you’re so close to the bustle of South Yarra. We always have such a good night’s sleep! Ben and Murray are helpful and respond very quickly to any communication, and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else when we visit Melbourne.

We stayed at Cathie and Michael’s for three nights. The apartment is situated close to cafes, restaurants and shops, with a tram stop not too far away. The apartment was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Even though we went in winter, we still made use of the spacious verandah. It’s one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in, we would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and picturesque home in beautiful Ivanhoe, great place to base yourself for easy walking to local restaurants, shops and public transport. Very responsive hosts who were more than happy to offer assistance if needed. Highly recommend for couples.

This was my second time staying here. Host of very friendly and happy to help out. I love that the place gets all day sun on the balcony and is nestled into the trees so is private and doesn’t feel like you’re in the city. Nice location. 7mins walk to Hawskburn train station and a few minutes walk to Chapel st. Comfortable and safe apartment. Would stay a third time.

The location was central and convenient, with easy access to public transport, making it a great base for exploring the area. The host was exceptional – clear and consistent with communication, and all instructions were easy to follow. The unit is in a fantastic position, ultra quiet and close to all you need to do in Melbourne without the hustle and bustle of staying in the CBD. I’m glad to have stayed at Aster’s place once again—this time at a different listing. The location was incredibly convenient, situated right opposite Southern Cross Station, which made getting to and from the airport a breeze. With trams just around the corner, exploring the city was easy and accessible. It was a smooth and pleasant stay overall, and I’ll happily choose Aster’s place again the next time I’m in Melbourne.

We had a great stay. Everything was as described, very clean, we had everything we needed, the hosts were incredibly responsive and we were very comfortable.

Our stay was comfortable with all necessary comforts provided. The apartment was very clean, spacious bathrooms (helpful when travelling with a child) and the kitchen well equipped for our purposes. We had an overnight flight, and our hosts were accommodating with us requiring a different check-in. The express IGA is a minute's walk away to buy any basics you might need after travelling. There are local cafes in the streets behind the building (less than 5-minute walk) for a quick bite. The Southbank promenade is also under 5 minutes from the apartment with many restaurants to choose from (Pure South became our go to for breakfast, great menu and service). We were only a short walk from a pedestrian bridge to cross the Yarra, giving us easy access to Melbourne's great laneways and other attractions.
