Holiday rentals with lake access in Buncombe County

The pictures did not do this place justice, as it was more beutiful than the pictures represented. It was clean, vary large with many amenities and lots of water toys "several kayaks , a canoe, beach toys, life vest, and even a couple blow up tubes. There was a nice grill and firepit and Amanda even left the kiddoes smores fixing, which they enjoyed very much. We were there for Easrer weekend, and there did not seem to be anyone in any of the other cabins along the lake, so it was very private, which we appreciated. Give this place a try, and you won't be disappointed.

The Lake house was perfect for us! 8 of us stayed at the house for celebrating a graduation and 10-12 of us gathered there for lunch and breakfast and it was great fit. It is literally steps away from a sweet little lake, that had baby ducks and geese when we were there in the spring and was a lovely 15 minute walk to downtown Black Mountain. The hosts were great - when I reached out for recommendations on a restaurant or caterer to help us with after the graduation lunch, they wrote back quickly and made great recommendation. thank you! Oh, and they recently added a game table and my husband loved it and we always knew were to find him, haha.

We had a great time. The views are beautiful and the house is spacious with a great layout for a large group. The house has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished with a fun lake theme. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The kids had a wonderful time at the private lake! They paddled around the lake in their floats and played on the sandy shady beach. It was a bit warm to try out the hot tub and the fire table on the porch but we hope to come back in the spring or fall to take advantage of all the amenities this house has to offer.

I am happy to leave an "A+/5-star" rating...this, from a former professor who knows all about grade inflation. From start to finish, the hosts were welcoming. The accommodation is exactly as described and lovely. What did NOT receive a 5-star rating was the fact that I got caught in the horrific hurricane that blasted through the area. That said, the house was secure with nary a leak and safely above any low-lying area. Even with no electricity or phone for 3 days (luckily the water stayed on and my hosts had left a supply of filtered water), the ability to sit on the front porch, read from various books, and even work a jigsaw puzzle by daylight meant the days went by rather uneventfully. In fact, it was not until I was able to evacuate that I learned of how destructive this storm has been. Thanks to Anna and her sisters for reaching out when they could, and bringing extra water just in case. I hope to return in better times and would be happy to stay here again.

We had a great time spending a few nights here over Spring Break with our kids! Brandi was incredibly helpful and responsive with anything we needed. She even kept us in the loop with local information on burn bans with the conditions being so favorable for fires to catch. The place was very clean and we all had a blast! One thing I'll note for other families with small children. The spiral staircase is the only method inside of getting from the main floor to the basement. Our youngest needed a lot of supervision, even with the door closed, to make sure he didn't slip down or fall from the top ledge. It's definitely not a deal breaker, just something I wish I would've paid a little more attention to when reviewing photos of the listing.

Adorable, vintage fisherman cottage on the lake. We loved this little cabin and it's obvious its owner does, too. The cottage is quaint and small but has been very well thought out from extras in the kitchen, plenty of comfy porch furniture, to space efficient furniture in the rest of the home. We also enjoyed the fantastic outdoor spaces and two SUPs. Finally, although the home sits off (two lane) Memorial Hwy, nights were quiet and we felt the location was worth it for the convenient distance to both restaurants and the Ingles. Additionally, the home sits in a wide cove and provides great views. We just loved the well cared for, vintage lake house vibe. It's well kept, too!

Our family is huge so it’s really hard to find a house large enough to host all of us. Daniel’s house was GORGEOUS and so spacious, the photos did not do this place justice. The upstairs was beautiful with large windows that let natural light in. We did encounter a mama bear and her baby, but Daniel warned us every day during our stay to keep trash in and be aware of the bears. We were secured inside the house and got to watch through the windows. It was an amazing experience for the kids. The golf cart was a game changer. We didn’t have to move our vehicles a lot. The amenities were perfect for us and the kids. Two pools, mini golf, and pickleball was all we needed to stay busy the entire weekend. Lake Lure was closed, but that was told to us weeks before the trip. We will definitely come back when Lake Lure opens. 10/10 vacation!!!!!!

We had a wonderful time at Jennifer’s home. Her parents, Ed and Kay welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They provided wine and delicious snacks for us and also gave us passes to Rumbling Bald. The place is right on the lake and absolutely beautiful. The inside is much more beautiful than in the pictures, as it is tastefully decorated and good quality linens and towels were provided. They had every thing available that we could need, expensive toiletries and plenty of floats and kayaks. I can’t say i’ve ever stayed at an air bnb that was so thoughtfully appointed before. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay here! The amenities were wonderful! Our kids loved the pool and the beach at the lake. Lots to do in this area! Jamie was super sweet and very responsive and helpful! She also makes great recommendations! We would definitely stay again!

We’ve been to Rumbling Bald multiple times and this has been my favorite residence of all! It’s easily accessible, has tons of space, and is well equipped. But the host and her proactiveness and accessibility are what make outstanding. We absolutely loved our time there and hope to make it back again sometime!

Such a beautiful property!! The hosts were very friendly but still kept to themselves. Their dogs were super adorable and friendly! And the cat was also precious. The views were remarkable and the place was very cozy. The suite was also listed as the main office which was a little confusing at first but the hosts were never in there, so you still got the place to yourself.

Cute place for a getaway with 2-4 people. Beautiful deck, small kitchen with what you need for quick cooking, coffee on hand, bathroom nice with what you need, clean and tidy. Loved the convenience to everything to do in the area. Kids loved the pool! I loved the zip line just 15 mins up the road (not included but highly recommend). Very responsive and helpful host. Lake Lure and views are breathtaking.

The cabin was great! Just as described with comfortable beds, quality linens, fun outdoor toys that kept the whole family entertained. The kitchen has everything needed for a meal, quality grill, and overall 5 stars and would come back as a family of 4 any time. Thanks for an amazing week at the lake!

This is absolutely the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I love to fish and the pond didn’t disappoint, caught bass, catfish and bluegill, it was a blast. It was so quiet and we really enjoyed the space by the pond. The home was immaculate!! We are already planning another trip to go back.

The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

Perfect location...easily walkable for the local fare and close to asheville. Great place for our family so much room!

This was my second stay at the cottage. The house was as beautiful as it was the first time back in 2020. The kids loved going for a walk around the lake and talking to the farm animals from outside their pen. The WiFi was fast. I had no problems driving my Tesla around the property. The hosts were very responsive. This location has close access to the Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Arboretum, and a Tesla Supercharger.

Lovely, beautiful, peaceful and relaxing with so much room! My little family of 4 could not have been happier here I was so blessed to have came across this place! From canoeing and kayaking to the beach and back, roasting marshmallows by the fire pit, having fun trying to fish while watching all the turtles, to the hot tub and game room we just couldn’t stop running out of things to do and the memories that will last a lifetime! We never even had to leave this beautiful place with bringing groceries on the way there and we sure did not want to leave when it was check out time! From my husband and I to our two beautiful kids we all would highly recommend this place! Brody was such a wonderful host from start to finish always fast to respond with any questions that I may of had! Again would highly recommend this place!!
