Shepherds hut holiday rentals in British Isles

Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

we had a superb getaway, ideal for timeout and a recharge. everything was as described and the mattress was so comfortable. is now on our favourites lists to return back to.

Loved staying here for a second year in a row. The hideaway hut is tranquil and the perfect break from a busy life. Love nothing more than relaxing in the hot tub and listening to nature surrounding us. Thanks again for another perfect weekend away!

Celebrated our 1 year anniversary and it was absolutely lovely, we are definitely going back! Lynden was so lovely and gave clear instructions that made finding eveything so easy, love our tour of the farm and feeding all the animals that were so friendly! The room was really nice and decorated so beautifully & really appreciated the complimentary snacks. We loved the hot tub, lighting the fire for our marshmallows, and how close the animals got to us! Was a lovely place to stay felt so at home and welcomed, would define my recommend :)

We loved our stay in the shepherd's hut. We wanted a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and it was exactly that. We were rained in for one day but it ended up being our favourite experience- the hut is so cosy, everything you need is to hand, and we could sit and watch the scenery for hours. On the sunnier days there is a short walk to the coast path and the views of the coastline. The toilet and shower is the perfect set up, we also loved the outside bath and the wood stove.

Peaceful and quiet location with sheep and alpaca in the neighbouring fields. Sitting outside the shepherds hut we could see the sea in the distance - same view from the hot tub. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything that we needed for our short break.

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend! We had an amazing experience staying at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, stylish, and exactly as described in the listing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and all the amenities provided made the stay feel just like home. Our host was fantastic—very responsive, kind, and helpful with local recommendations. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the location was perfect—close to everything we needed, yet quiet and peaceful at night. Overall, a truly enjoyable stay. We had the most perfect stay at Rosies Retreat with our dog. Lucy was a fantastic host, we loved how accommodating she was through airbnb and we love a key box check in, we were left to enjoy the space which is how we like it but we knew she was there in the background if we did find we needed anything. This is a perfect retreat with a well behaved reactive dog who just loves to look out at a view and has nothing around to spook them 🐾 all three of us are fully recharged and already looking forward to another visit sometime x

Fiona and Nigel created a beautiful space to stay for anyone who wants a peaceful getaway! I proposed to my now fiancé here and Fiona helped to give this place a romantic setup while we were out for food. She did a brilliant job! Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back again!

We had such a wonderful stay in ‘The Nook at Newalls’. It was private and peaceful and had everything we needed. We had some stormy weather during one of the evenings, but we were cosy and warm in the hut with the log burner lit! Taxi into Kendal cost £9 where we had a gorgeous Sunday dinner at ‘Ye Olde Fleece Inn’. Windermere was a 20 minute drive where we did a great short walk up to Orrest Head for the most incredible views. The hut is a great base for exploring the Lake District - highly recommend!

The accommodation is situated in a beautiful garden surrounded by amazing views and greenery, and is in a great location for nearby walks and is a very cosy place to stay!

Such an idyllic location and probably the best Shepherds hut and location we’ve stayed in. Even with mixed weather it’s so cosy with a little fire or relaxing in the hot tub under shelter. Highly recommend and such welcoming hosts too. Well be back again for sure.

Our stay at this shepherd’s hut was absolutely perfect. Immaculately clean and filled with thoughtful touches like teas, coffees, and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, it had everything we needed — blending rustic charm with modern comforts. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept so well in the peaceful, private setting. The highlight was the incredible wood-fired hot tub — we spent hours soaking while watching breathtaking sunsets and stargazing in total tranquility. The outdoor space was equally well-equipped, with a BBQ, plenty of firewood, kindling, and unbeatable views. The location was a true slice of paradise — secluded, serene, and only a short drive from Cardigan and Tenby, though we always looked forward to returning to the hut. Our host, Anthony, was wonderfully responsive, helpful, and kind before, during, and after our stay. This was one of our favourite getaways ever — we’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely gorgeous hut in the middle of the countryside. Very clean, peaceful and relaxing. Emma went above and beyond for us, extremely friendly and kind. We felt like we were staying with a friend. I would absolute recommend staying here - worth every penny and more. Shepherds hut was probably our favourite Air bnb so far! Being greeted by Jane was a lovely start to our holiday, she made us feel right at home. The hut itself is perfectly decorated, cosy and clean. Every detail was so carefully considered and Jane had even moved some sheep into the overlooking field for us which made our stay feel magical. We loved the hot tub and views - we watched the sunset one night and sat in the rain listening to the birds on the other, which really felt like a spa experience! This was our first holiday with our puppy, he loved the sheep and they even came to say hello! We had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible (playing cards, dog treats, tasty Welsh cakes). We 100% want to return, our only regret was not booking an extra night - there’s plenty to explore on the farm and nearby. Our puppy refused to get in the car when he realised we were packed up to go home! Thank you Jane for doing such a great job ❤️🌲

Had a lovely peaceful stay, didn’t want to venture out too much,just enjoy the shepherds hut and hot tub. Cooked everything on the fire pit/bbq,more than enough wood, kindling and firefighters were provided. We went out for a couple of hours and Abi offered to have the the hot tub heated up and ready for when we returned which was a lovely gesture, she also asked for our arrival time so that she could have it ready for us. Nothing was too much trouble, the hut and surroundings were perfect.Have already recommended to friends and would recommend to anyone wanting some peace and quiet with that back to nature feeling. Great break, perfect hosts.

This was such a lovely over night stay. The surroundings were gorgeous, just a nice place to chill, overall. We were only here for one night and could have easily stayed another day. The day we spent here was just so wholesome. Not far from the shops if you need anything. Kevin got the hot tub ready for us as we were arriving a bit later and it was perfect for when we got there. We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Little Oaks. The hut is cosy and had everything we needed for our night away.

Me and my girlfriend had the most amazing time here! So many amazing little touches with the welcome basket, the hot tub being lit for our arrival and we loved the themed hut. Unfortunately it was too cloudy for us to use the telescope but we hope to be back for some stargazing another time. The hosts were really informative prior to our arrival and we were left completely to our privacy. Firewood was available (for free) if we needed more and the grounds were so peaceful and relaxing. The hut had an amazingly comfy bed, really well equipped kitchen and the bath… such a luxury. This was a really special place. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We had a beautiful stay at greystone lodge everything was perfect and clean. Easy instructions on how to use services like the hot tub which was beautiful and had a great view. Carly was a great host, very helpful and answered any queries within minutes. We will definitely be returning!

We had the best time staying in Shep - such quirky accommodation, with everything you could need. The kids especially loved the raised sleeping area and bathroom set up! The views were spectacular, it was so peaceful and we just felt really relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed BBQing with the Eildon Hills for a view. Chris and family were super welcoming and we really enjoyed exploring the farm. Thanks for having us - we can’t wait to visit again!

My son and I had three nights at the shepherds hut and it was the perfect base for exploring Anglesey. The hut was cosy and had everything we needed and I loved watching the birds and beautiful views, it was so peaceful. I honestly can’t fault the hosts of accommodation and we would love to return for longer.

What a wonderful stay! We have stayed at many Devon based shepherds huts but this was our favourite so far. Modern, charming, clean and a beautiful view. Not to mention the relaxing tub outside with water jets. Very relaxing!

Muin Shepherd's Hut was Heaven. I was travelling with my dog, she lived it too! it's such a beautiful place to stay, the interior is full if charm, put together with lots of thought and love. The bed is very comfortable, very comfortable, 2 ring cooker easy to use. Everything was just perfect. I'm coming back! The Ardnamurchan is definitely my kind of heaven. Paul & Caroline were really friendly and super helpful. 5* all round. I'll be recommending it to all my friends and family.
