Situated in the historic town of Dunbar on the East Lothian coast, this newly opened hostel has been designed with retro vintage flair. I only slept there one night, but I was able to leave early the next afternoon because of very bad weather. It's a beautiful and very peaceful place. I loved reading by the stove during those heavy downpours. Robert, the other manager of the premises, is an extremely welcoming and cultured person.

Very nice discovery in Uig! The hostel is full of charm, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The common areas are particularly pleasant for relaxing or interacting with other travelers. The kitchen is well-equipped, clean and functional — perfect for preparing a meal with ease. We had a room for four, practical and comfortable, with an impeccably clean private bathroom. An excellent base for exploring the Isle of Skye. We recommend it without hesitation!

Impressive historic building, very authentic. It is impeccable and clean at all times. The staff is very professional, accessible and friendly. The upstairs room is very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was always free. I had a lot of privacy and I was very comfortable. The spaces are very welcoming. Individual bathrooms with a sink and showers with double the space to leave things and change. My only suggestion is that the female dormitories are more expensive and I don't see it as appropriate. We must create safe spaces for women, especially travelers who are alone, and have the same prices.

Such a lovely spot in such a beautiful location. A great base to start off. On the footsteps of so many beautiful lochs, trails, hikes and Aviemore itself. Great grub at the pub next door too! Will be looking to stay here again next time in the area!

I enjoyed my very short stay—I had a 23 hour layover in Dublin and wanted to make the most of it. I stayed here and was able to nap, lock up my items, and sleep before heading back to the airport. I felt very safe and the beds were great with how private they were, and the fan and lights. I would definitely stay again next time I’m in Dublin!
