This is my second visit. Beautifully set on the Barrow River and Barrow Way made for magnificent views and lovely walking. The place is perfectly equipped with many amenities and a well stocked kitchen. All of it thoughtfully done and our host Allan is a gem. Highly recommend.

We booked for a last minute get away and Tim & Judy’s place did not disappoint! The cottage was gorgeous and Tim was very helpful in getting us settled - peanuts were set right outside the kitchen window and we had red squirrels within minutes! Lots more bird watching was done throughout our stay :)) The fire and heaters kept us cosy, and the kitchen was well equipped. Will be returning soon hopefully!

The Bolthole is the perfect stay if you are looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Bolthole surrounded by nature and overlooking the loch and hills. It is a truly unique stay and I think it will be hard to beat! Myself and partner celebrated his 30th birthday here, fished in the loch, explored the surroundings and enjoyed the log burner on an evening. We also visited Invarary Castle and town which was only a short drive away. We unfortunately were not lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the osprey but did get lucky to see a barn owl on our last evening right in front of the bolthole. We will remember this trip and hopefully will return in the future!

Staying at the Granary was idyllic! It was truly magical to stay in such a beautiful stone cottage surrounded by lovely farmland, gardens, and trees. Sanchia was a superb host, responsive and friendly, and their dogs, cat, and ducks were also delightful company! We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck and marveling at the view and we were able to easily visit Glendalough for a phenomenal hike. The scones, tea, coffee (including espresso with a moka pot!), and other cooking essentials were greatly appreciated. And I even got to exchange a book from their shelf, so if you see “The Last Murder at The End of The World” feel free to carry it on! Would very happily return!

We loved our stay at the Chapel! The Chapel itself is beautiful with everything you’d need and expect, with very helpful labels and instructions so you can make yourself right at home! The location and views of the lake are superb and the nearby footpath leads you directly into Coniston along the lakeshore (4 miles each way) Daphne was a great host and always super responsive to any questions we had. The option of the canoe rental was a nice addition to take advantage of the private lakeshore area directly accessible from the Chapel. Loved it!

lovely stay, gorgeous views, hot tub was unreal, everyone was so polite and friendly, bed was incredibly comfy and cosy, can’t wait to come back and meet the goats properly !! 💕

Perfect place for my family on our first night in Ireland. Absolutely beautiful views. Had all the amenities needed. Loved that this was formerly a school house. Very cute! Lorraine proactively communicated all instructions and made sure we were well cared for. She even has some eggs, milk and cheese available for us. Very sweet!

I can’t wait to return to this piece of heaven. It is such a gem of a place and do relaxing and refreshing.

Me and my partner went with the dog, we had one of the best times in this spot, really relaxing to be at the pod and then travelling around the villages was lots of fun. Was always nice to come back to the lovely pod! The kitchen had everything you needed as well

Fox Cottage was everything we could have wishes for. Very comfortable, well appointed and provided the ambience for a great week. Could not speak more highly of the cottage.

Beautiful cabin, in stunning location, lovely gardens around the place, the wood fired hot tub is a winner too. The place is very well appointed and very clean throughout. Was also really lovely having the alpacas in the field next door and fun with the emus visiting every day!

As soon as we arrived at Hunters Lodge we felt relaxed and couldn’t wait to get into the outside hot tub! The lodge was beautifully laid out and loved the decor throughout, very true to the pictures we saw when booking. Our host Kate was lovely, always at hand and gave very clear instructions for check in and check out. As we were celebrating my birthday, it was such a nice touch to walk into the lodge to be greeted by a balloon, birthday cake and chocolates. Attention to detail was 100%. We can’t wait to return.

We had such a lovely stay at The Pool House! The jam, bread, eggs and flapjack were a really nice surprise on arrival. Toby and Kate were so accommodating and friendly. We had everything we needed and more! The pool itself was clean and warm and such a nice addition to have. The location was also perfect with the vineyards close by and plenty of nice restaurants and things to do. We also did day trips to Whitstable and Folkestone which were only an hours drive away. Would 100% recommend- the attention to detail was amazing and we’d love to come back ❤️🥰

The barn was absolutely lovely. Situated in a very private location. The surroundings are amazing and just as Mel described with each window literally like looking at a beautiful landscape picture. So peaceful. The perfect location to decompress. You have never heard silence like it ! The property and amenities themselves were perfectly as described. Very cleverly designed property with the split levels. Everything we needed and the absence of those we did not (No TV). Special mention for the bed and bedding. It was the most comfortable bed and pillows in any rental/ hotel we have experienced. The property has walks available right out of the door. But the one we chose had some steepish inclines and drops up to the top of the moor and absolutely gave our legs a work out. We knew we had done it ! The perfect weekend to decompress. Thankyou for such a lovely property and location.

If we could give Bernie more than 5 stars we would! We have stayed in many air bnbs over the years and this is hands down the best one! Bernie and Paul are so welcoming…the house is amazing…the surrounding property is stunning…and the animals are as friendly as the hosts…Simba the cat coming to visit with us while we had outdoor coffee and the dogs greeting us when we came home at night. There is so much to do and explore in the area that we could’ve stayed for much longer than the wonderful four days we spent there… and at the same time the house is so comfortable and enjoyable to spend time in that we didn’t find ourselves racing out because we were enjoying the house so much. Bernie and Paul have created a space as lovely and welcoming as they are as people and we can’t imagine there is a better air bnb in all of Ireland! We hope to come back again in the future and will definitely be recommending Queenie’s Lodge to all of our friends and family!

Great little cottage in the middle of nowhere. Rustic look and feel, Andrew and Debora are super friendly!

Absolutely amazing! Even better than the pictures. We were very lucky with the weather so the views were stunning. The house itself was lovely and had everything you need. Bed very comfy. Great beaches and walking nearby. Would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Bothy Cottage. It's located in a peaceful village where the majority of what you will hear is bird song. We appreciated the garden which gave the cottage a very secluded feeling. Everything was as described and we're glad we booked our stay in Dorset here. We especially appreciated all the detailed instructions, history of the cottage and the welcome note and bubbly waiting for us when we arrived. Would recommend!

A beautiful home with the most fantastic beds, we all slept like logs! We wish we had stayed for longer, but will definitely be back.

We loved staying in this remote idyllic home. Just right for two, with beautiful views to the south and west. A perfect base for exploring the Lake District. Loved it

Michaels place was absolutely incredible.. the house, the views and everything in between! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to stay. Kerry was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Michael was very responsive and gave us recommendations to do. My kids enjoyed playing outside all day. Also, loved all the big windows in the house and having a fantastic view from each one! Would love to come back and stay again one day! Thank you again for the lovely stay!

Absolutely magnificent- this was more than a stay, it was an entire experience. The castle is incredible - if you are at all interested in history, architecture, art, you will love it here. From morning tea to sitting in front of the fireplace in the evening, the whole stay was perfect. The setting is bucolic- perching on the window seat watching a flock of sheep in the distance, with birds soaring over the lake - what a dream. The castle is located close to Galway, the Connemara, Cong, and so many other places to adventure. We were charmed by the hospitality (give Tina, Mary & Geraldine our love!!). Can’t wait to go back someday!
