We spent a fabulous couple of days at The Forge. The place is as described - very comfortable and fully equipped for an escape to the countryside. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket of goodies too. Set in extensive grounds and with plenty of local walking, it was a chance to completely unwind and relax. A big thank you to Mel, the property manager, who provided full and clear information and was friendly and responsive to our queries.

We had a great 4 nights at Lucy’s. The garden is breathtaking, the pool lovely and a short walk takes you to the historic pub (complete with Morris Dancers). Lucy was very welcoming and friendly and the house comfortable and within easy travelling distance of some of the best parts of the Cotswolds. We would love to return. Thanks Lucy!

Beautiful house in a lovely setting. As you'd expect, not a lot of entertainment immediately locally outside of the house other than walks (be warned footpaths are not maintained and impassible in places) but you don't book a place like this if you want hustle and bustle. Pool, hot tub and fire pit all great. Games room is in a separate building to the main house and so wasn't used as much as perhaps otherwise could have. Hosts are great and very welcoming, but they do live right next door which might not be everyone's cup of tea. It wasn't a big issue for us and we were left to our own devices. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Hosts very accommodating if required and good communication 👍

Beautiful property. The house is huge—we joked that we probably wouldn’t use all of the rooms—but we did. The whole experience felt luxurious—seriously, a pool? We had trouble with the sauna—better directions would be helpful—but the issue was addressed speedily. And I don’t know why people complain about the lumber yard; we noticed nothing. Hats off to Phoebe and Jan!

We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night break at Turnip Cottage. Everything was perfect for our group. The cottage was spacious, homely and fully equipped. The facilities were excellent. We were a party of 5 adults and two children aged 14 and 10 and we made good use of the 2 games rooms in the courtyard. The children loved the tennis court / football / go-cart area and we all made good use of the swimming pool and gym. The owner was very friendly and helpful and directed us to a lovely private walk within the grounds. We will definitely meet our friends at the cottage again and enjoy another peacefully perfect weekend in this beautiful part of the country.

Great place for us to stop and enjoy Bridgnorth before going to a family wedding. Walkable in 15/20 mins into town and to the shops. Great set up as we had my elderly parents with us. Once we got them up the stairs, there was a toilet on both levels and a little balcony to enjoy the sun. There's plenty of cooking equipment in for those that want to cater a little to save money. Had a brilliant stay in this beautiful house, great location and the house was beautifully furnished. After a day of sightseeing it was also lovely to be able to sit in the garden with a glass of wine and listen to the birds and river. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant stay. Lovely cottage that had everything we needed and close to the centre of town. Really appreciated the little touches of a pint of milk in the fridge and sweets on the table!

Perfectly located on the river and next to the Cliff Railway. Fantastic communication. Two large bedrooms. Had a slight issue with the front door lock on the first night and maintenance came to sort within two hours. Brilliant response. Minor negative (but not for us) would be traffic noise at night but ear plugs provided if needed. TV signal was awful but didn’t need it anyway. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely host, who was flexible with our early check in request. Pristine condition. Stunning views and very peaceful. I particularly enjoyed seeing the wild rabbits on my arrival and departure. Wish we were staying longer but was only one evening due to attending a wedding in the area. Would highly recommend

Everything was as promised. The cottage is very homely and was comfortable for us for the weekend. The high street is an easy walking distance away as are 2 local pubs. The Airbnb met our expectations and we would stay again definitely.

A truly great place to stay and only 20 minutes from Alton Towers! Wonderful amenities in a nice and peaceful location, makes the place feel like home. Everything was as described, the place was spotless and there was plenty of information available about the local area for places to visit and eat etc. Nici was a very gracious host who greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay again when in the area next.

We had a lovely stay at Sarah’s place. The cottage is beautiful, was wonderfully decorated and squeaky clean. There were 6 of us adults plus one toddler, and it didn’t feel cramped.

Beautiful clean & comfortable accommodation in gorgeous gardens. Very peaceful but lots to see & do within a short drive. Lovely bottle of wine on arrival & fresh milk for a much needed cup of tea 🙂. Emma was friendly & called in to check everything was ok but left us to ourselves although she was nearby if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend The Bothy for a relaxing stay. Thank you

The house is perfect to relax for a couple of days. Located away from any village it allows to relax. House is cozy and well equipped. Definitely a place to come back again

We were greeted by Lisa at the property, she handed over the keys and showed us around the place. Telling us everything we needed to know, really helpful host. The lodge was just what we needed for a little night away, the tennis courts were a fun addition to the stay. Aswell as her beautiful dogs that she introduced us to! Overall, really great place to stay, it was immaculate and I would highly recommend. 5 ⭐ Lisa 👏👌

The property has character. Ideal for a large family group who like home cooking everything is walking distance. The rooms really work well. Really nice fireplaces when lit. Cooking pans could be replaced and windows could be repaired, this was not an issue for us but it reduces the overall impression. Comfortable bedrooms - one mattress should be replaced. The house has a faded grandeur with glorious views over the River Severn. Very memorable. Thanks Juan!

It was a great place, well located for Shrewsbury town centre with a pleasant walk along the river to get there. I would definately stay here again. Note: finding the property can be tricky when following 'sat nav', and working out how to reverse a car into the off-road drive required a bit of strategic thought, but that all seemed to add to the experience! The property was immaculate and extremely dog-friendly. Very clean and tidy with every amenity imaginable and in a lovely peaceful location yet Ironbridge was easily accessible on foot (albeit via a very steep hill). Kirsten is lovely and provided the best welcome package we have seen anywhere. Lots to see and do in the area and we will definitely come here again.

Couldnt have found a nicer place to stay. The location was absolutely perfect for where we were going on our trips. The property was so well presented on arrival and they even put on the extra touches by adding a lovely birthday banner and bunting for my daughters birthday. The property had everything we needed for our stay and some. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay.

Having stayed here previously, it was the first place I looked to book when staying in the area again. Hosts were responsive on messages and instructions were clear and helpful. They let me check in early of which was really helpful. Lovely little place, great amenities and very homely. Great value and a charming little stay. Would highly recommended if in there area and looking for a good value place to stay. Would highly recommend. 👍👍
