Andrew and Ann welcome you to our beautiful Victorian age Bed and Breakfast, in the centre of Ambleside, The Lake District. We are situated in the centre of Ambleside, but off the main road. There are many fantastic restaurants and bars right on our doorstep as well as lots of the Lake Districts most scenic hiking trails. Hale Green Farmhouse (Breakfast included)

Luxury ground floor en-suite super-king bedroom and private living room in Hale Green Farmhouse with full Farmhouse breakfast included. We are a family run Bed and Breakfast and pride ourselves on providing luxury and comfortable accommodation within our home and do all we can to ensure you enjoy your stay with us. You have access to your own living room and the gardens. We aim that you arrive as strangers but leave us as friends! Unfortunately this is not suitable for children or infants.

Your host Marianne invites you to enjoy her lovely home. It is a welcoming and hospitable home. Marianne is German and English speaking. The single bedroom has a study area and a charming sitting room. There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage. Continental breakfast will be served in the breakfast room. The home is conveniently situated on a bus route, with access to the two universities, Williamson Park, the rail station, town centre, and beautiful coast and countryside.

Treetop Room

Stunning original slate walls grace both the bedroom and bathroom of Treetop. The result is an elegant, period feature room, situated on our top (second) floor of the main house. With a solid oak, king-sized bed and a comfortable sofa bed, Treetop can sleep three adults or two adults and one child. The beautiful en-suite bathroom has a deep-soaking corner tub and marble basin. Please note that this bath does not have a shower fitment.

The house is situated on a quiet cul de sac in Kendal, a 10/15 min walk from the mainline train station, Oxenholme Station, and a 20-25 minute walk into town. The bedroom is on the ground floor with an ensuite private shower room. We are close to the hospital, ideal if need somewhere to stay if you are working there for a week or two. Breakfast is provided for you in the utility room, you are welcome to use our dining room.

Lovely Lake District rural retreat

My home is on a small, Lakeland farm set up on a hillside with wonderful views down to the Duddon estuary. You could be woken by the song of a blackbird or robin or the cockerel; otherwise, it's a wonderfully quiet, peaceful spot. The hens and cats hang out in the yard, various sheep breeds, four ponies, and a scattering of cows populate the fields, and beyond that a gate opens onto the hills.

Serene hamlet on the edges of Coniston Water

Our home is in the hamlet where Arthur Ransome, author of 'Swallows & Amazons' spent his childhood holidays. Today it still retains that old-world charm. We are a stone's throw from the lake, with woodlands & waterfalls on our doorstep. You can sit by a cosy fire or enjoy a walk/picnic on light evenings. Hearty breakfast... and super local walks....included in your stay!

Beautifully appointed room with view to Esthwaite Water. Ensuite facilities with walk in shower. Great Cumbrian breakfasts to set you up for the day. Covid 19 update - I've put in place a number of measures for guests' safety (and my own), including surfaces are regularly sanitized, linen is laundered at a high temperature and breakfasts are served to your room.
