Holiday rentals with a kayak in Blue Ridge

My family loved Jessica’s house. Easy access to the river, and there’s a nice 1/2 mile loop we could do with our pup. House is beautiful- enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and sauna. She has a fire pit down the steps by the river that looked amazing- just a little too cold when we visited. Would 100% stay here again. Jessica as a host was very easy to communicate with. Check in was a breeze and she resolved a very minor issue promptly which we greatly appreciated.

I’m tempted to write a bad review so more dates will be available when I’m ready to come back. This was our 2nd visit and it was great again. So much to do without leaving the house. Fishing, kayaking, volleyball, badminton, ping pong, foosball, fire pit, board games, etc. Great price too! The only problem this time was that the WiFi was a bit spotty, even after a couple resets. Probably for the best though! Looking forward to our next visit soon hopefully.

What a lovely lake cabin escape! Gilbert was communicative and very accommodating. We really enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, and relaxing on the dock. The place has all the essentials and cute rustic charm. I’d definitely stay here again!

Ruth was a wonderful host and communicated well. Her lake house was beautiful even though it rained the whole weekend but we definitely enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend her house.

We had a wonderful time staying here. This charming cabin has everything you will need for your stay! Its so cozy and fun and the host really did think of it all when it comes to accommodating to guests. From a little charging station for your devices, to a tv in every room, kayaks, grill, a hot tub this place really does have it all!! We had so much fun. The porch was my absolute favorite spot to be. We had a fantastic time!! I was so sad to leave. We will for sure be back!!

We enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay in Bobby and Dina’s beautiful, river house and they were the perfect hosts! They were very responsive to questions and even offered area suggestions including a wonderful local butcher, for our BBQ night on the deck, listening to the peaceful sounds of the river. This home had everything we needed to prepare meals, very clean and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend this home for your trip to the Murphy area and would love to return when we have more time to fish & kayak!

This is our second time staying here for new years and it was great as usual. It is very peaceful at this property. Very clean and perfect for our group size. We would stay again.

What a FUN Getaway Cabin! I honestly feel we didn't spend enough time just enjoying the space. Exceptionally clean with plenty of necessities. We appreciated there was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags and we did not have to run to the store for more. Plenty of towels for showers and hot tub use. We are an active family of 4 with 2 upper elementary children and we all equally enjoyed the space. The wifi was excellent (this is not always the case with lake cabins!), the living and dining spaces were large and welcoming for the whole family to be together. So many games to choose from. We visited in Spring, but this would be a great winter hideout as well! Overall just so pleased with our stay!! Close to so many activities. I will note the King bed is in the upstairs bedroom. This worked okay for us, but I did overlook that in this listing.

I reserved this AirBnb for my parents to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. I am posting this review on behalf of them! - This was the perfect setting for my husband and I to celebrate my 60th birthday. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The view of the lake was really nice and having a dock right out your backdoor was a great amenity and perfect for our pontoon boat. The close proximity to numerous restaurants was a plus and we enjoyed visiting Bell Mountain to take in the views of Lake Chatuge and Hiawassee. Our host, Leslie was quick to respond when we reached out to her. We look forward to visiting again!

Patsy’s place was the perfect weekend getaway for our family. Seeing it with our own eyes was even better than the pictures on the listing. Beautiful lake front. Multiple outside dining and grilling spaces and a dock. There were only 4 of us but 3-4 more peeps could’ve joined us comfortably. Patsy was great with communicating and answering our questions. We would come back.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

Great location and very peaceful. Short walk to the lake. Well equipped cabin and is very clean and comfortable. Great comma from the host. No issues during the stay.

Great get-away for a family! Lots to do on the property, you can fish, swing, look for salamanders in the creek and look at the waterfall. Sitting by the firepit watching the river go by was relaxing.

This was our 2nd stay at Sweetwater Cottage & the view & lake access were just as fantastic as we remembered from 4 yrs ago! We had plans to do some daytrips to nearby areas but ended up boating, towed tubing, fishing, kayaking, & paddle boarding… never left the cottage all week. We appreciated having access to the kayaks & paddle boards along with some additional water toys available for guests stored in the garage. The kids were thrilled that they actually caught some fish right off the dock! We ate out only once during the whole week for breakfast at The Sawmill Place (delicious food, great service, recommended by our host). We ate all other meals at the cottage (including lots of grilling). A nice selection of spices & a well equipped kitchen were very convenient. We bought food to cook at Ingles but otherwise the cottage had everything we needed for a great family trip (including 3 bathrooms). Loved the trees on each side of the property for excellent privacy.

The Farmhouse is a slice of heaven. Grant & Lee do an amazing job everything is perfect from the fresh cut flowers in the kitchen to all the amenities you need. Just bring your clothes, toiletries, all the rest is provided. Enjoy the loft in the barn playing checkers or enjoying a good book while swinging in a hammock. Kayaks, life jackets, even fishing poles are provided, lots more too.

Chris was a delightful host. Kind, responsive and helpful! The home was super clean and well appointed. We so enjoyed the amazing views and the hot tub and our grand children loved playing “corn bag” as they called it. There are some steep stairs to the basement recreation area but they have taken great care to have handles where needed and reminders to watch your step. I appreciated all the instruction qr codes and little printed framed signs to help guests. We look forward to returning.

Myself and several friends booked Anglers Dream for a much needed fishing trip guys weekend. Several people drove 9+ hours to be there, so we were really praying that the fishing would be as good as advertised. We were NOT disappointed. It took us a little time to figure out how to fish the river, but once we learned it was Red Hot with two people catching their personal best trout. You are definitely in for a workout with the stairs, but that just meant we got to eat extra steak we cooked on the clean grill and gas stove. Highly recommend this cabin for a fishing weekend.

Very nice place. Home was comfortable and cozy and we had lots of room for all of our crew. Plenty of things to do at the home and in the community. Really nice and peaceful. Was a treat to see all the deer.

We had a nice calm stay, the kayaking was certainly the main reason for booking this cabin and it was lovely with a trip on the lake. The place was nice and rustic inside, and jacuzzi was also good. The only complaint was the coffee pod machine wasn't working and constantly switched on and off

Wonderful stay! We experienced privacy and a peaceful getaway which is exactly what we were hoping for! I will say there are surrounding houses but in our 2 stays this far we have not encountered other guests. The hot tub was amazing and very relaxing. We loved the kayaks and there are multiple locations to go fishing. It’s about 30 min off the main road so plan accordingly as far as packing enough food so you don’t have to make little trips. We planned food and used the grill often. WiFi was great as well! If you’re looking to go hiking there are multiple trails close-ish by. Usually 30min-1.5hr drive.

I am exceptionally pleased with the cabin that Jerome shared with us. The photos perfectly match the cabin and the surroundings are even more beautiful than the photos. The property is very clean and the appliances and cookware are of high quality. The location is remote enough to where you feel like you are surrounded by nature and not suburbia but it is still within easy driving distance of the dining and entertainment options of the area. My wife and I enjoyed hiking, an art festival in Blue Ridge, the annual apple festival in Ellijay, and never had a bad meal during our stay. I highly recommend the destination for a relaxing and fun getaway and I especially recommend the Bird's Eye View cabin!

Such a wonderful location! We shopped, spent and ate our way thru multiple states, restaurants and shopping venues. Loaded with fun-filled entertainment. We saw deer and wildlife all around us. (Bigfoot was near by.. )😉 The back porch overlooks the river and was perfect so calming and mesmerizing. An absolute amazing gem. The cabin was very comfortable and a fit made complete just for us. Well appointed and tastefully decorated. Riverside Retreat is truly delightful, splendid and superb! An immeasurable pleasure!
