Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. Enjoy a walk along the lake, a refreshing swim in the lake, an impressive sunset, a hike to the Meielisalp, a coffee in one of our village restaurants... Leissigen is located between Spiez and Interlaken and thus offers a variety of ways to explore the Bernese Oberland (swimming, hiking, skiing...).
