The Captain's Cottage is in an awesome location in the back of a property that is across from the waterfront park along Shark River. Paddle-board/kayak rentals, fishing piers, charter boats, mini-golf, and Belmar's newest waterside restaurants are right across the street. Waterfront views from the yard and one of the best sunsets at the shore! Includes 2 person kayak, 2 bikes & 2 beach badges! Perfect shore weekend getaway for couples or small group of friends. 1 mile to ocean. Short Uber, bike, or train ride to Asbury Park. Also, please note that there are two houses on this property, both are rental listings. Privacy is no concern... the two houses, their addresses, yards, and parking are all separated. However, the driveway entrance is shared. This listing is for the back house on the property. The Captain's Cottage is in a very unique location for Belmar. In the past few years, the Belmar Marina area has gained popularity as park spaces, waterfront walkways, fishing piers, and new bars and restaurants have opened up along the Shark River. 9th Ave Pier and Marina Grille have been a big hit, where you can enjoy a waterfront meal and drink while watching the beautiful sunset. Fishing charter boats, mini golf, parasailing, kayak/stand-up paddleboard rentals are also available in this area. The home is still close to Main Street and roughly one mile to the ocean. As an alternative to the ocean, there is also a free beach along Shark River directly across the street from the home. It is also a short Uber, bike, or train ride to Asbury Park. Parking: Two cars can fit in the space assigned, and additional parking is available for no cost at the adjacent side streets (K or L Street). The Belmar Train Station and Belmar Main Street is a short walk. It is one mile from the ocean and there is also a free public beach right across the street along the Shark River. A very short Uber, bike, or train ride to Asbury Park. Please be mindful of the shared driveway entrance and parking assignments.

Heather’s place was a pleasure to stay in. It was clean, open, and all the furniture was very comfortable! Wawa and Walmart are very close to the location making last minute trips accessible and convenient. Heather was extremely quick with replying to my questions and made the check in and check out process easy, and simple (and I appreciate that so so much!) my family and I hope to return on another family vacation soon, as we did enjoy our stay (for the first time away from our home in 10-15 years as a family)!! 4BR Waterfront Rental with Hot Tub

This home was fantastic! It was super clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. We loved using the hot tub as much as possible and managed to go kayaking. My boys tried to go crabbing, but we were told it was not the season for that. They had fun trying. And they liked hanging out in the game room. There were lots of great restaurants nearby and Long Beach Island was not far away. We enjoyed Anthony's Pizza, Dockside Diner and Yellow Dog Coffee. I wish we had better weather, we would have been able to enjoy the outdoor area more. But the home was comfortable to watch the thunder bumpers go through! My mom-in-law, an original Jersey Girl, was able to relax and visit with old friends. She was the reason we came out since she hadn't been out for over 20 years. There were lots of laughter and good food enjoyed here. We would love to come back when we are in the area again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We stayed at this gem in late March coming in town “out of season” for a family funeral. It was our first visit to the shore. WE WILL BE BACK and we will hope to stay here! Beautiful view of the water and peaceful sound of the water was priceless. House is well appointed and beautiful. Host was so helpful. We were 6 adults and 3 children. Highly recommend!

The house was just as it appeared in the photos -- with the exception that the backyard was even bigger than I imagined! Even though it was a holiday weekend, the neighborhood was generally quiet and the neighbors very respectful of each other. The house was so comfortable we went out even less than we expected and instead enjoyed reading at an outdoor table, sitting by the dock, sunbathing, and a Saturday evening firepit. A great place to vacation as a 3-generation group of 6! Thanks Kathy.
