Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bay Of Islands

We had such a fantastic stay. The amenities were fantastic, great views and we all felt right at home. Thank you for all the lovely touches of the Easter eggs and home baking too. It was the perfect place to stay in the lead up to our wedding.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is very well equipped, the heat pumps were great for the couple of cold night we had. The place is very quiet and with a really good view.

We had an awesome stay and would recommend this airbnb to anyone especially if you are looking for a peaceful setting where you can see and hear the sea, which are close by. We were so relaxed and enjoyed the area, just a lovely place to stay and unwind.

Absolutely beautiful spot right on the beach. House was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room for our 12 guests. Loved the bedroom above the garage as an extra space for kids to play, and also the easy access to the beach was perfect for the kids to play while we could watch them from the deck. Cool to see weka birds wandering around the area too!

What a beautiful and peaceful place to be. It was as lovely as described and even more! It was all as described plus the things you can't always know until you get there... Spotlessly clean, comfortable, friendly neighborhood, no squeaky floors so you can get up for your morning coffee without disturbing anyone, an incredible changing landscape with the changing of the tides. Absolutely loved it!

A Truly Wonderful Stay! We just had the most incredible experience staying at this Airbnb – it exceeded all my expectations! The space was spotless, beautifully designed, and felt like a perfect home away from home. It’s a massive place with loads of room to spread out and relax – ideal for families, groups, or just treating yourself to a spacious retreat. Every little detail had been thought of, from the comfy bed and quality linen to the fully equipped kitchen and calming atmosphere. The location was ideal – peaceful and private, yet conveniently close to everything we needed. Everything ran so smoothly during our stay that we didn’t need to contact the host for a single thing – it was all perfectly set up and ready to go. I can honestly say this is one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway. Five stars all the way!!

Whilst it is a modest home, it has everything needed for an affordable, relaxing and enjoyable time away. Couple minutes walk to a lovely beach, kiwi and other native birds literally across the road, host guided us on the first night and was full of knowledge. A real treat that the kids (and parents) really enjoyed. House has all the amenities you would expect. We self catered and had all we needed. Good shower, washer & dryer, good deck with sea views, comfortable living area and comfy beds. Really was great value for money and would happily stay again. If you want 5 star there’s plenty in the area at 5 star prices, but this place offers fantastic bang for buck (save dollars and use for a tour or activity). We had a lovely comfortable stay at the Fish'more cottage. Inger and Claes were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is private, set away from the main house in amongst the orange trees. It has been very well planned out and beautifully renovated. One of the highlights was feeding the pigs.

We hit the jackpot with Michaela and Dans place, a great place to stay for a bit while visiting bay of islands. We loved our stay here. Good location. Amazing appartement and views and great communication all around. Would recommend!

Jenny is an Amazing Host ,very friendly very easy to engage with ,she made us feel like her house was ours, We arrived an hour before check in , but she allowed us in,the apartment was in spotless condition with excellent views and easy walk into town also had everything inside we needed ,we all felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend Jenny's apartment to anyone wanting somewhere to stay in Paihia for a Bay of Islands Escape.

This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

Beautiful and cozy space with the most stunning view. Great location being walking distance to restaurants and the pier. Helen was lovely and greeted us when we arrived. Wished we could’ve enjoyed the space longer!

Our stay at Margaret & Lou’s property amazing. As myself and my partner are visiting my parents who live in another part of Northland and we wanted them to see Paihia which they did as we had the most amazing views. Thank you ☺️

Very friendly, very tidy well looked after property

The most serene beautiful location. Felt like a million miles from anywhere but best brekkie and coffee just steps from the door and a general store a couple of minutes away with everything you could need. Bed to die for, luxury linens and towels. Possibly the cleanest place EVER. thank you gavin, a perfect stay in a beautiful location.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM

Fabulous hosts, lovely accommodation. We stayed for three nights, and all loved it including our puppy. If we didn't have to be back home for things, we would've extended our stay by a couple more nights. I'm sure we will be back again though. Thanks for the lovely stay

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

We had a very pleasant stay here in Paihia with stunning water views. It was peaceful to come home to after touring all day. Easy check-in and good communication from the host. Would stay again!
