This place was such a good weekend get away! This cabin is super private which we loved. So much wild life! and they had lots of fun activities to offer! Lovely space!

Wonderful stay and amazing host! The communication was excellent from start to finish. When I made a booking mistake, the host handled it with kindness and flexibility. The place was a bit tricky to find, but she has clear directions that she shares with you as soon as you book. She was also very accommodating with my check-in time, which I appreciated after coming straight from work. Although the cabin is attached to the main house, it’s separated by a locking door, and we had complete privacy. Walter and Winnie, the basset hounds, were adorable and friendly! I especially enjoyed birdwatching and seeing a group of deer in the valley at dusk—so peaceful. Cleanup instructions were simple, and even after we left, the host was kind and quick to answer questions about booking again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Our family thrived at Liz’s cabin! The river was perfect for my younger kids—calm and shallow in most areas, great for first-time kayakers. For more adventure, we tried paddling upstream, which was a fun challenge and a great life lesson in perseverance! Downstream and around the cabin is smooth and peaceful, perfect for kids. I recommend bringing a cooler with simple meal ingredients. I packed sandwich supplies but wished I’d brought more—vodka pasta would be ideal here! I made a quick run into town for spaghetti, but options are limited (as Liz notes in her very helpful guide). We also had dinner at Pokegama Lakeside—great food, a beautiful lake view, and an authentic Native American canoe on display! Liz has created a truly magical place. The natural landscaping, cozy cabin details, and high-quality linens made it so comfortable. Thank you, Liz, for such a special stay!

Absolutely exceptional cabin in rural Wisconsin! The space was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel cozy and luxurious. We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub and watching the beavers by the water—such a peaceful and unique experience. Highly recommend!

Angela had great communication from the very beginning! She kindly gave recommendation I asked about and has a binder full of information of local places and attractions to visit during your stay. Everything was clean and tidy, had so many things there to do and the location is secluded and peaceful.

We loved our stay at this beautiful and very private cabin. Obviously the photos are gorgeous and we knew we were going to love the overall feel, but it truly is wonderful being there. The giant windows open to the lake view and surrounding woods is heaven and are the part that I miss the most now that we're home. We really liked the fact that the cabin has a lived in feel (in the best way). I was worried that it would be TOO perfect and I wouldn't want to touch anything. LOVED the sauna so so much and it was beyond amazing that our lab was able to come with us. They had all the kitchen appliances/tools you'd need and having life jackets to use was awesome. I think reviews are such a good way to gain feedback from guests so I'll just list a few improvements/preferences here: softer sheets, a scissors, and a mop/swiffer to keep the floors clean. This cabin was very very tranquil and quiet during the week which is exactly what we were hoping for. We'd love to come back in the winter!

My family & I enjoyed our time here despite the warm weather. Loved the outside space & outdoor appliances. Plenty of seatings. There were plenty of activities as well to keep everyone busy & everything was there to use for cooking, cleaning, etc. Host was very friendly, easy to communicate with, and super nice! I would recommend it.

Beds were comfy and the surroundings were beautiful. Kitchen has essentials which were helpful and hot tub was wonderful.

This was a short trip for my wife and 6 y/o son to experience the Northwoods. They are hooked and cant wait to come back again. The accommodations were excellent. Only thing i would ask for would be satellite tv.. A plus in our book.. Tha k you for everything and for sharing your cabin..

We feel so fortunate to have found this great cabin! Everything was as expected, and more! Clean, comfortable, and scenic! Our cat enjoyed his (leashed) walks around the cabin and yard, along with watching g all the activities from the windows… ducks, rabbits, chipmunks, and probably more at night! Thanks for sharing this great space and for being cat friendly! We definitely look forward to staying again!!

Ashley’s and Charles’ place was wonderful! It’s like a European cottage in the woods of Wisconsin. “Cottage” because of the sweet, homey, personal touches (like the China that is the same pattern that my wife’s my grandparents had at their house!) and yet not little by any means—open concept and beautiful views of the Apple River. We were here celebrating our anniversary and it was so peaceful! The main suite in the loft is romantic with a comfortable king bed and a separate shower and soaking tub. There’s also a bedroom on the main floor with twin bunks and a double bed tucked in. It was comfortable with A/C and heat and wood stove, which we never got around to using. Ashley was quick to respond to a couple of questions we had, and everything was clean and the kitchen well-stocked for all our needs. We highly recommend this sweet getaway!

The cabin is thoughtfully designed, well equipped, and incredibly peaceful. Neighbors are nearby but at a distance. Tap water tasted great and the shower had plenty of hot water. There are a few sections of the property that are roped off for the sprinkler system that although marked in bright orange, we still managed to trip over as a cautionary!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, well stocked, and the hosts were very communicative and responsive, even making sure we were aware of some severe weather rolling in. Enjoyed the sauna on the cooler days, and the paddleboards and paddle boat on the warmer days. Kids loved the bunk room. Beautiful clean lake with the added bonus of loons, eagles, and green herons. Nice washer and dryer, and the EV charger was a huge plus. Definitely hope to return!

We are frequent visitors to this relaxing, natural woodland cabin because it has everything we love without having to leave the property. Loons, beaver kits at play, trumpeter swans, wildflowers and lots of trails to wander. The cabin has been updated with a very comfortable sofa and new lighting making for a great place to stretch out with a book. We will undoubtably return.

Great home and close to all the trails including ATV which you could ride from home to trails. The home was clean and directions were very good. Totally recommend this cabin!

Alexa’s cabin was awesome! Couldn’t ask for a better location as a fisherman who was trying to fish multiple bodies of water. The place has everything you need for an extended stay and the cabin itself was very nice. Alexa was amazing to communicate with, always got back to us promptly with answers.

We loved staying at Alana’s spot in Hayward for a weekend skiing the Birkie! The beds were comfy, the view was beautiful and we especially loved the fireplace. We would definitely stay there again!

We had an amazing time staying at the Grenwood A-Frame. It was so peaceful and relaxing, not to mention gorgeous inside and outside. Lots of little touches that made it feel so rustic yet modern. We were able to catch some fish in the lake and the surrounding areas. Loved being out in the country yet not a far drive to the surrounding towns. Loved all the wildlife - deer walking through the yard, so many different birds, including eagles! Would definitely stay again. Would love to visit in the snowy winter!

Our family had a wonderful time at Otter Haven! Christina and her family welcomed us to their home and thoughtfully cared for property (200+ acres?). This is a naturalist's dream; the hard work and loving stewardship they have put into the land are truly inspiring. The house is spacious, with a full kitchen and a serene setting with extensive trails to explore. And, the 'cherry on top' was seeing snapping turtle hatchlings emerge from their nests--a truly lucky event!

Excellent place to rent, great host and wonderful spot! I will definitely be back!

We absolutely LOVED our stay! The home is beautiful, cozy and has a perfect cabin feel. It is even better than the pics. The view to the lake is gorgeous and at night we've never seen such a beautiful sky and stars. We had s'mores by the fire (firewood ready and waiting for us). She has clear instructions, very easy to check in and out. A lot of amenities provided (spices, bathroom toiletries etc). We caught Bass and Northern in the lake. We had a mishap with the pontoon (100% our fault) and Lorraine was AMAZING at communicating and helping us out. I can't say enough good things about our stay. 10/10 recommend.

It was a wonderful stay at your beautiful cabin! All of your antiques and decorations were amazing, it was like a museum of hunting and fishing items. Very comfy beds and furniture. We felt right at home the entire time! The fireplace really warmed up the cabin and lent a cozy feel. We enjoyed a campfire every day and evening as we took in the lake views. Having Powell's Restaurant such a short walk away was very handy! We look forward to our next visit!
