Holiday rentals with a patio in Barren River Lake

This was the perfect place for our family of four. We loved being across from Mellow mushroom. There was plenty of space and bathrooms are huge! We’re definitely stay here again but a heads up to bring your own body wash and soap.

This is a beautiful place. The place is actually nicer than the pictures. The beds where some of the most comfortable we have come across. They had everything we needed plus. Love the shower, extra big with great water pressure and water temperature. Furniture was very comfortable and nice. Overall a very nice stay, this place deserves the 5 stars they get.

The setting is spectacular! We enjoyed the well groomed walking trails and ponds. The fishing is fabulous! The hosts are amazing! Lisa and Jack felt like family from the start. The accommodations are very comfortable. The towels are super soft, the bed and linens are pleasing. The kitchen is stocked and ready for preparing delicious meals. We will definitely be back!

It was the perfect spot to visit friends in Glasgow & to get transportation to & from the Kentucky Derby! We loved the old town character of the building. You could easily walk for coffee, restaurants, & local shops! It was well stocked in the kitchen, water filter on the fridge, plenty of ice, coffee pods, ect… The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms had local soaps. It was an extremely easy to check in & come & go! I highly recommend this place! Don’t give it a second thought!

The Pergola House was absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for during our weekend in Oakland, Kentucky for a wedding. The home was beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully set up. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the location was incredibly convenient—just off the highway but still felt like a relaxing retreat. A train does pass nearby multiple times a day and at night, but we actually slept through most of it. We appreciated the thoughtful touch of sound machines and earplugs left for guests, though we didn’t end up needing them. I can’t wait to stay here again the next time I’m in town!

Overall very nice and clean and very close to Kentucky Down Under! We highly recommend eating at 5 Broke Girls in Horse Cave. This is our 2nd trip to the area and 5 Broke Girls was our first stop! We will definitely stay at Kayla’s again if it’s available!

Benjamin was very accommodating and responsive to any questions or needs we had. Would highly recommend if you are ever in Portland, TN and need a quiet place to stay.

Our stay at the Hotel Alexander could not have been better. The accommodations, location, and comfort were top notch. We are already planning a return trip!

Great spot, with comfy beds, and a nice relaxing back/front porch to have meals on. There is a train nearby that woke us up on the first night, but it’s not too loud. The house is generously stocked with staples incase you forget something at home!

We could not have loved Gwynne’s place more!! The house was very kid friendly, she has toys, games and even kids utensils and it was a lot bigger than we thought which was great since there was 10 of us. It is more secluded too, our kids were able to play outside without worrying about disturbing neighbors. Gwynne was very polite and responsive from the moment I booked her home. A bad storm came through right after arriving and we had no power the first night, she was so generous to offer us a partial refund for the inconvenience. I 100% recommend Gwynne’s home and I will book again in the future!

This home on the river is absolutely stunning and had plenty of room for my family to relax after long days in the sun. All of the sleeping arrangements were great too. The two decks in the back of the house were an outstanding place to drink our morning coffee. The views and scenery were fantastic and even saw many deer walking within feet of the house. Wow what a place!!! Will definitely be booking again for next year.

Really enjoyed our stay! Kim was great and quick to respond! Our kids and dogs loved the big backyard! Going to remember this home for future stays. It was fantastic!

Annette's place was great, easy to get in and clean when we arrived. It is a beautiful house in a beautiful area. We would certainly come back again.

Such a cute home! I brought my family from out of state to spend a long weekend touring Mammoth Cave National Park and this was the perfect space! A quiet, beautiful space that was exactly what we needed and wanted for our trip. Attractions were about 20+mins out which we preferred. The space had everything needed to feel right at home and there was so much room! We had the best time and I would 10/10 recommend 😃

A nice place. Very convenient for what my girlfriend and I stayed for.

To say that the cottages were amazing is just not enough. The surroundings, the stay, the furnishings were simply perfect for my families stay for my daughters wedding weekend. We were all able to be close as the cottages are just a hundred yards or so from the main house. This enabled us to enjoy so much together. I would highly recommend staying at both places if you have a large family and want a great get a way. I cannot say enough about the host and their generosity. They made the weekend magical.
