Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Bagaces

I had a wonderful 3 nights as a guest with Paulino, Vivian and their family. They are genuine, kind and helpful, even though I had no Spanish we used translate and many smiles. Paulino’s son Paulo is a local guide and speaks perfect English, I had the most wonderful and I treating trips to Mt Rincon de la Vieja and La Leona waterfalls - not to miss, amazing place . The room is simple, clean, has a ceiling fan and I slept well, had a clean towel and had the bathrooms to myself. For a genuine and peaceful family stay and place to explore this area I highly recommend and also Paulo ‘ un tico et Una gringo’ for guided tours 🙏

lovely homestay feeling, the room is simple but spacious and comfortable, common areas too. the gallo pinto for breakfast is one of the best i had in two months in Costa Rica. definitely worth staying here instead of liberia, anytime again. be aware that the rooster doesn't wait for sunrise and windows don't have glass so you hear a lot of what happens outside. muchas gracias!

La casa de Paulino es maravillosa! La atención de la familia marca la diferencia entre ser bien atendida y acogida. Estuvimos 5 días en Curubandé, recorrimos los alrededores, Paulino nos ayudó con los traslados a donde queríamos ir y nos asombramos con la fuerza de la naturaleza. Vivian, Teresita y Paulino nos hicieron sentir como en casa de nuestras familias, con deliciosos desayunos, buenas historias y conversaciones que nos hicieron conocer más sobre Costa Rica. Recomiendo totalmente este lugar, disfrutarás cada día en Curubandé.

This is a great find. Paulino and his family are so kind and helpful. The room is comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Paulino offered to take me to town (Liberia) when he went and gave me a lift to the volcano. This saved me a lot of money compared to taking a tour from Liberia. From here you can walk to Rio Blanco's blue lagoons and organise many tours. The location is set back off the road and my only complaint is the entrance would benefit from having the name on it. look for the sign that says Bienvenidos!!

Great host, family friendly place! Awesome food breakfast and dinner! Great value. The pool is awesome room was brand new. Awesome little dogs that are super friendly and great with kids. Very polite and nice staff. Will stay again and recommend! Thanks Jorge

Nous recommandons fortement! Carlos nous amené à la rivière, il nous a décrit la flore et il était content de nous faire plaisir. Nous avons ensuite pêché le tilapia, les enfants étaient ravis. Nous avons offert d'aider pour le souper, nous mangions à leur restaurant, et nous avons eu droit carrément à un cours de cuisine ultra sympathique! Vraiment super.

Amazing indoor/outdoor living in Costa Rica! Easy drive to Liberia (15 minutes), airport (25 minutes), Playa Hermosa (50 minute), y Rincon de la Vieja (~50 minutes). all the drives felt very manageable on good roads and with beautiful scenery. Great place for a mixed adventure in Costa Rica, and definitely save time to make dinner in the outdoor kitchen, exercise, and hang in the pool. Yohan was responsive to all of our needs and questions. Felt very safe and secluded in the quiet, spread out neighborhood. Note - this is not a resort. only the bedroom and bathroom/shower is inside. there are normal outdoor things like bugs and dust and leaves inherent to an outdoor kitchen and living area. Choose this place if you are comfortable with these things and you will have a great time. Outdoor toilet is an amazing touch. :)

nous avons adorés le logement, le lieu dans les montagnes et les jardins du site magnifique. nous avons bien relaxer dans ce lieu. tout près nous allions marcher tous les jours et avons vu des familles de singe a plusieurs reprises ! magnifique

Cesar est une personne très agréable et il est toujours prêt à rendre service. Nous avons passé une très bonne soirée en sa compagnie. Je le recommande !!!

Sylvia's place was very nice. I don't think she advertised that there is a nice little river in the back. the access is not official but it is a nice river to go and relax. the house is beautiful with lots of hard wood and a splendid smell of it. You do want to notice that there is no AC and not Internet at the time of writing. In our case, it was the Right place for our plans.

Un lugar muy lindo y rodeado de mucha naturaleza cabaña muy bien equipada y cerca restaurante y supermercados Rene y familia fueron muy agradables y serviciales siempre estaban atentos a todo lo que necesitaramos es un lugar para salir caminar y hacer senderismo donde se ve mucha fauna super recomendado Rene y familia los esperan

El lugar increíble. Todo en el alojamiento estaba en excelente e impecable estado. La terraza, la vista, todo estaba genial.
