Zachary was personable and friendly from the start….even funny. I asked about an early check-in and he accommodated my request without a fee. When looking for an ideal stay, I’m always hoping that I’ll find the kind of hospitable and charming person on the other end that I can whole-heartedly recommend to others. His care and concern comes across in the space: thoughtful, clean, serene, and relaxing. I needed a space that lends toward healing as work. This space can meet many needs for both the spirit and body (since the hot tub is a cure-all!). We saw deer and were delighted with all the moss! Looking to return soon!

Sweet guest cottage in the mountains. Theme decor is very welcoming and comfortable. Gives rustic chic vibes. Feels spacious. Sofa bed linens and mattress pad made for a v comfortable place to sleep. Two bathrooms and ample hot water and towels. Up a steep hill, choose the one minute longer route up Possum vs Sunset road and it is not as twisty and steep. Probably not a walk to town kind of place due to the hillside perch but close enough that you wont mind the quick drive. We saw deer, bunnies and a bear in the neighborhood. Thoughtful host, lots of nice little touches (S'MORES!!!!).

This is a darling little place in a quiet town. Mary went out of her way to make it super welcoming with local recommendations, snacks and just little homey touches everywhere. Also she had supplied everything I seemed to have forgotten on the trip. I especially loved how the kitchen had just the right basics to help us stay in and be able to cook simple things. Everything was so clean and comfortable. What a great host and a cute home.

We enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for a family of 4 and 2 grandparents. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. My only complaint was there were 6 of us and only 5 towels. We purchased another towel and all was fine. Overall a great experience and we would stay here again.

We loved the home and it had plenty of room for the six of us (5 adults and a toddler). Yard was so peaceful and we enjoyed the cows right outside the door. We would definitely stay again. If I had to make any suggestions I would say maybe ceiling fans in the bedrooms but other than that it was great!

Incredible host, the most pet friendly location I have ever been. Fenced in yard the deck could also be closed. Complementary snacks, dog bowls, more towels than a target, and an incredibly comfortable bed.

My husband and I rented the property for long term. We were moving to Ashe County and stayed at the property while our property was getting ready to move on. Wendy was very accommodating to our needs. She answered any question or concerns we had in a timely manner. Wendy went above and beyond for us. The property is very nice and quiet with lots of different beautiful views. We made friends with the cows in the pasture across from us. There are 3 other properties and all the tenants that stayed in them were so super nice. Wendy really made our stay nice and comfortable

We had an amazing weekend at this property! It was an extremely cozy cabin with all the amenities you could hope for. Beautiful view of the mountains and a stone’s throw away from Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk. The host Eddie was also super responsive and helpful during our time here. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Great place to stay!!!

This really is the PERFECT place to unwind and have a nice, slow, relaxed getaway. This was my second stay at the cottage but this time with the whole family. We spent our days walking and playing on the property, petting the cats and dogs, and sitting by the bonfire at night. The beds are super comfy...so comfy that I (accidentally) slept in every morning we were there :) We were all impressed with how cozy the cottage is and how well equipped it is as well. The state park nearby is worth a visit - we went on a short 4 mile hike that shows off a couple amazing scenic lookouts.

Bakers cottage was so peaceful. It was nice sitting on porch listening g to the birds and the stream of water. We felt right at home. We left our iron and iron board and they made sure one was there. It was very clean. Tonya was so easy to work with. She made our stay enjoyable with a birthday treat. We will be back because it’s one of the best Airbnb we have stayed in.

We loved our stay at this charming old farmhouse! The property is peaceful, beautifully kept, and surrounded by rolling pasture with cows grazing just beyond the fence—such a calm, grounding view to wake up to. The house itself has a cozy, historic feel with all the essentials, and it’s the perfect base for exploring the area. We went hiking at a Grayson Highlands, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking—truly one of the most picturesque spots I’ve ever been. A perfect stay if you’re looking to unplug and enjoy nature.

The home looked just like the photos. The view is GORGEOUS!! It is on the smaller side but would be perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4. The kitchen has everything you need to cook an excellent meal. The checkin/out instructions were clear and easy. I failed to locate the towels, there is a closet in the bathroom behind the door, but Irina was quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again!

The house was beautiful and very clean and stocked with everything needed. If you are looking for a relaxing tranquil stay this is it. We drank our morning coffee sitting by the fire pit listening to sounds of the stream. Amy and Mark are the best hosts and remembered it was our anniversary as mentioned. We loved the fresh eggs, local cheese and crackers. We visited all the local shops and restaurants in West Jefferson which is a short drive away. The best part was our visit to their farm Glendale Ridge. We loved seeing all the alpaca's including a new baby, goats, sheep, and dogs. We will definitely be back to visit soon.

Absolutely gorgeous property! We enjoyed fishing and playing in the creek all weekend. Would definitely come stay again!
