A private driveway leads into our large enclosed garden shared with ourselves it has magnificent views which include Broadford bay, and many islands & mountains. At Knockenhooley we can accommodate up to 8 people but if you are a smaller party who prefer a little more comfort & space we got you covered. Our house Taigh Mairi is in Upper Breakish on the A87(main road).Taigh Mairi is a 5 minute drive into Broadford (3 miles) and 7 miles from the Skye bridge.Within a 10 minute walk is the Red Skye Restaurant.We have created a small,private,open plan self catering studio for 2 within our family home.The studio has its own facilities none of which are used by us. It is set up for guest use only.There are plenty of facilities to make your stay as comfortable and as homely as possible.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Came to Skye for the Half Marathon and also to explore the island. Fabulous Pod and beautiful views. Enjoyed watching the Goats and were given a warm welcome from the Shetland Pony when we arrived.

I was extremely happy with our stay! Ali’s place is immaculate! It was so clean and well kept. It is conveniently located in Broadford and served as a great home base while we explored all of the sights of Isle of Skye. The photos truly do not do justice to the size of the space or the views outside. From the back patio, a mountain range can be seen in the distance, and from the living room windows you can see boats on the inner sound. The home is silent - no street noise (on a back road just off of the main thoroughfare) and no noise from neighbors which was delightful while we rested up from long hikes. The beds were so comfortable! Lastly, Ali left us a small gift bag with some local tablet and a drink to try!
