Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Arenella

Sometimes I joke about not wanting to review my favorite places for fear it will make my next booking harder. But this is no joke. Francesca and Carlo have a paradise, and I’ll be working hard to get back soonest. We stayed 10 days, visiting Syracusa and Noto, Etna lava and wineries, and found it increasingly difficult to leave even for a few hours. Evenings shift from the cooing of pigeons to the plaintiff call of owls, with the sounds of waves from her almost private coast. The house is rich in family memories, and gorgeously decorated. The ceilings high and rooms airy.The kitchen a gem to use.

We felt at home the minute the door opened, this home worked extremely well for our family of 5 (2 parents and 3 college aged kids) with comfortable furnishings and excellent location. Perfect!

We enjoyed our stay at Jacopo's place. The home is beatifull and has lots of room and space including a nice patio to sit out back. The location is "interesting"; on a big intersection but well located to use it as a base to to explore other areas (we visited Syracuse, Noto, Marzamemi) and at the same time a 5 minute drive to the lovely beach of Spiaggia Lido d'Avola. Although Jacopo was extremely helpful and responsive, a set of instructions and a list of recommendations for the area would be helpful when you arrive.

Heerlijk, ruim appartement in het centrum van Ortiga (Siracusa). Aan de andere kant van de straat loopt een trappetje naar een klein strandje, dus je kunt zo vanuit je appartement de zee in. Het centrum zit op 5 minuten lopen. De eigenaar heeft goede tips voor ontbijt, lunch en diner. Het stadje is erg leuk en wij vermaakten ons er prima in 3 nachten. Het appartement ligt aan een (éénrichting) weg, dus reken wel op verkeersgeluiden. Wij hadden hier geen last van, maar als je er gevoelig voor bent. Wij hebben ook op de stoep gezeten op het zitje. We raden het unieke appartement bij iedereen aan die graag een tijdje in een stadje wil verblijven.

This place is an experience! Living in the old farm high in the mountains, far away from noise and rush. Me and my husband enjoyed the stay a lot! We were visiting nearby towns and beaches, which are easy to reach from Vincenzo’s place. vincenzo himself is super friendly, helpful and attentive - it was a pleasure to get to know him! We would definately recommend this stay to get an amazing experience of life in a Sicilian countryside. We really hope to come back!

Die Wohnung hat wirklich eine unglaublich schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf Modica, sehr empfehlenswert als Ausgangspunkt auch für Ausflüge nach Ragusa , Noto, Syrakus u. Scicli . Schön war aber immer das „Heimkehren“ und noch ein bisschen den Blick auf die romantisch beleuchtete Stadt zu genießen ….

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this apartment in the heart of Ortigia! The location couldn’t have been better — right in the center and literally steps away from the beach. It was the perfect spot for morning swims and sunset strolls by the water. The apartment itself was spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From the cozy bed to the well-stocked kitchen and modern bathroom, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. A special shoutout to the host, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. They made check-in easy and shared great local tips that made our experience even better. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the best of Ortigia. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

Très beau logement en plein cœur d’Ortigia avec une terrasse roof top très agréable.

Anna’s apartment is superb. It’s huge and traditional and a real treat. 3 huge comfy bedrooms and 3 big bathrooms. We stayed a week and my husband and teens kept saying “this place is so great!” The view of the water and fountain from the front rooms is incredible. You can sip coffee as you watch the local fisherman start their day. The location is ideal. We walked around the corner to the fresh market for breakfast and supplies every morning. The narrower streets of old town and the Apollo Temple are short blocks away. Hosts were helpful and responsive & I appreciated the little things that were left for us like coffee pods and really lovely shower soaps. We had a great stay and I highly recommend this apartment. 다른 유럽 국가의 집과 같이 열쇠로 문을 여는데 어려움을 겪었지만 Marco의 도움으로 문을 여는 방법을 터득할 수 있었습니다. 이러한 어려움을 제외하고는 모든 부분에서 만족스러운 숙소였습니다. 숙소는 매우 깔끔하고, Marco가 공유해준 타오르미나 주변 지도는 관광에 큰 도움이 되었습니다! 자전거도 잘 타고 돌아다녔어요 :)

Enza was a great host, she was so helpful, kind and responsive. The apartment was perfect and so close to everything but down a beautiful quiet street.

We had a wonderful stay in Stefania’s place. The accommodation was beautiful and the attention to detail was evident throughout - from providing of extensive cooking equipment to beach towels and umbrellas. The terrace was the highlight for us and we enjoyed relaxing and cooking at the outdoor kitchen. Stefania’s recommendations were also amazing, we visited several and enjoyed them all. We loved our stay here and hope to return to Ortigia and Stefania’s place someday!

Wir waren 12 Tage mit 2 Personen in der Wohnung und wären am liebsten noch ewig dort geblieben! Die Wohnung in der obersten Etage war phantastisch mit einer absolut grandiosen Aussicht auf die Meeresbucht den Hafen und die historische Altstadt von Siracusa. Die individuelle und geschmackvolle Wohnungseinrichtung entsprach voll und ganz den Bildern. Last but not least: Santi ist ein sehr freundlicher und immer hilfsbereiter Vermieter, der bei Fragen und Anliegen schnell hilft. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über seine wertvollen Informationen über die Umgebung und Empfehlungen für zahlreiche Ausflüge und Restaurants. Wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt und würden die Unterkunft unbedingt weiter empfehlen!!

Wir waren zum 3. Mal hier und werden bestimmt noch ein paar Mal kommen! Ein wunderschönes Apartment, hat alles, was man braucht und liegt mitten im Zentrum von Noto, es ist trotzdem ruhig. Heizung ist super, Klimaanlage im Sommer auch. Viel Platz für eine Familie.

Fantastic 3 weeks at Francesco`s beautiful apartment - superbly located on Isola Ortigia, an absoultely spectacular place. Lively even during winter and a number of sights (Neapolis is a must!). Went to the food market for fish and greens and made dinner at home every other day or so. Otherwise a number of very good restaurants within a 500m radius. Breakfast and lunches on the spectacular terrase, short/t-shirt at least half the days (when in the sun) even during winter. Francesco was very helpful when we needed some minor assistance with heating and dishwasher. The heating system was the best I have every come across in Italy - water heated radiators, not only the usual A/C. All in ll - spotless!

A very clean and incredibly located apartment. Great roof terrace. We enjoyed our stay in noto.

Well located apartment in old building close to everything. Hosts were very kind. The apartment was very well equipped. Air conditioning worked well. Would recommend.

Appartemento in pieno centro di Ortigia ma fuori dalle vie troppo turistiche, posizione eccellente e comunicazione sempre al top. Appartamento calmo e accogliente. Il piccolo barettino di "Irma la dolce" sotto casa é un punto in più.

great apartment and being away for several weeks with a bit of luggage, appreciated the ground floor well appointed, comfortable and clean. Christiana was extremely responsive as well

I had a great stay at this apartment! It was very clean, comfortable, and just like the photos. The owner was easy to reach and always helpful. The only small downside for me was the bed—it was a bit too soft for my preference. Of course, that’s a matter of personal taste and what you’re used to, so others might find it perfectly comfortable. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation!

J’ai passé un excellent séjour dans cet appartement à Modica. Le logement est spacieux, très propre et la literie est vraiment confortable. Facile d’accès, il dispose en plus d’une belle terrasse idéale pour se détendre. Mention spéciale à l’hôte, très accueillante et sympathique, toujours disponible pour aider ou conseiller. Je recommande vivement ce logement pour un séjour agréable en Sicile
